영상 안정화를 위한 회전중심 및 각도 추정기법 (Estimation of Rotational Center and Angle for Image Stabilization)

  • This paper presents a simple method of rotational motion estimation and correction for roll axis stabilization of an image. The scheme first computes the rotation center by taking least squares of selected local velocity vectors, and the rotational angle is found from special subset of motion vectors. Roll motion correction is then performed by the nearest neighbor interpolation technique. To show the effectiveness of our approach, the synthetic and real images are evaluated, resulting in better performance than the previous ones.

  • This paper presents a simple approach on the rotational motion estimation and correction for the roll stabilization of the sight system. The algorithm first computes the rotational center from the selected local velocity vectors of related pixels by least square methods. And then, rotational angle is found from the special subset of the motion vector. Finally, motion correction is performed by the nearest neighbor interpolation technique. In order to show the performance of the algorithm, the evaluation for the synthetic and real image was performed. The test results show good performance compared with previous approach.

  • Monopulse active homing radar requires velocity and angle information of target to track fast moving target. Target velocity can be estimated by measuring the frequency shift between transmitted and received frequencies. Angle information is obtained by measuring boresight error.   • This paper is concerned with a method for calibrating five-hole probes of both angle-tube and prismatic geometries to measure local total and static pressures and the magnitude and direction of the mean velocity vector. Descriptions of the calibration technique, the typical calibration data, and an accompanying discussion of the interpolation procedure are included. The flow properties are determined explicitly from measured probe pressures using calibration data. Flow angles are obtained within the deviation angle of 1.0 degree and dynamic pressures within 0.03 with 95% certainty. The variations in the calibration data due to Reynolds number are also discussed. For the range of Reynolds number employed, no effect was detected on the pitch, yaw and total pressure coefficients. However, the static pressure coefficient showed change to cause minor variations in the magnitude of the calculated velocity vector. To account for these variations, average correction factors need to be incorporated into the static pressure coefficient.

초신속궤도력 기반 GPS 위성 repeat time 산출 및 궤도 예측 (GPS Satellite Repeat Time Determination and Orbit Prediction Based on Ultra-rapid Orbits)

  • GPS 측량 계획을 수립하기 위해서는 GPS 위성의 예측궤도력을 이용하여 측량자가 원하는 시간과 측점에서 측량이 가능한지 여부를 판단해야 한다. 이 연구에서는 예측궤도력을 생성하기 위한 방법으로 GPS 위성의 repeat time을 이용하였다. Repeat time은 초신속궤도력에 포함된 48시간 GPS 궤도력에서 제공하는 3차원 위성좌표의 상관관계를 분석하여 산출하였다. 그리고 계산된 repeat time을 이용하여 13차 Lagrange 보간 다항식으로 7일간 예측 궤도를 생성하였다. 그 결과, 각 위성의 X, Y, Z 성분별 최대오차의 RMS 평균은 각각 39.8km, 39.7km, 19.6km로 나타났다. 그리고 3차원 오차의 최대값은 119.5km 평균값은 48.9km로 나타났다. 또한 위성의 가시성 분석을 위해 3차원 최대 오차 값인 119.5km를 시야각 오차로 변환한 결과, 방위각과 고도각의 오차는 각각 9.7', 14.9'으로 나타났다.

  • 본 논문에서는 CAD 시스템에서 사용하는 NURBS 기저함수를 사용하는 아이소-지오메트릭 해석(Isogeometric analysis) 방법과 기하학적으로 엄밀한 빔 모델링(geometrically exact beam model)을 활용하여 회전과 병진 운동이 결합된 새로운 형태의 메타물질(metamaterial)에 대한 해석을 진행하였다. 이차원 셀 구조는 자유형상변환(Free-form deformation) 법과 적절한 내삽법(Interpolation)을 통해 원통 위에 입혀졌다. 원통의 치수와 셀 개수가 비틀림 각도에 미치는 영향이 매개변수 연구(parametric study)를 통해 확인되었다. 비틀림과 병진 운동이 결합된 구조의 메커니즘에 대해 수치 예제를 통해 알아보았다.

Surface wettability and contact angle analysis by dissipative particle dynamics

  • A dissipative particle dynamics (DPD) simulation was presented to analyze surface wettability and contact angles of a droplet on a solid platform. The many-body DPD, capable of modeling vapor-liquid coexistence, was used to resolve the vapor-liquid interface of a droplet. We found a constant density inside a droplet with a transition along the droplet boundary where the density decreased rapidly. The contact angle of a droplet was extracted from the isosurfaces of the density generated by the marching cube and a spline interpolation of 2D cutting planes of the isosurfaces. A wide range of contact angles from $55^{\circ}$ to $165^{\circ}$ predicted by the normalized parameter ($|A_{SL}|/B_{SL}$) were reported. Droplet with the parameters $|A_{SL}|>5.84B{_{SL}}^{0.297}$ was found to be hydrophilic. If $|A_{SL}|$ was much smaller than $5.84B{_{SL}}^{0.297}$, the droplet was found to be superhydrophobic.

  • Orthodontics is a branch of dentistry that is concerned with the study and treatment of malocclusion, which may result from tooth irregularities, disproportionate jaw relationships, or both. Orthodontic devices consist of brackets, archwire connected to each bracket, and bends and hooks for auxiliary functions. Basically, orthodontics involves the interaction of brackets and archwire. It should be noted that uncontrolled tipping can occur due to unwanted movement of the teeth. The bending of an archwire can control the angle of an archwire and the rotation of a tooth. In this study, we predict the relationship between the bending angle of an archwire and the rotation of a tooth using the Kriging interpolation method. Also, we calculate the angle of an archwire that occurs at the minimum value of tooth rotation.

  • 본 논문에서는 적응적인 임계값을 이용한 정확한 움직임 추정방법과 이진영상에서의 미리 정의한 패턴을 이용한 에지 기반 공간 필터링 방법을 이용한 적응적 3-D 디인터레이싱 알고리즘을 제안한다. 움직임 예측시 발생하는 움직임 미검출과 거짓 움직임 검출을 줄이기 위해서 영상내의 복잡도에 따라 적응적인 임계값을 적용 하였다. 움직임 영역에서의 공간 필터를 사용할 경우 완만한 대각 방향의 에지와 라인의 보간 성능을 높이기 위해 최근에 발표된 미리 정의한 이진 패턴을 이용한 에지기반의 필터링 방법에서 이진 패턴의 재구성을 통해 보간하는 방법을 제안하였다. 제안된 알고리즘을 사용할 경우 기존의 방법들에 비해 시각적으로 뛰어난 결과를 보이는 것을 모의실험을 통해 확인하였다.
