The objective of this study is to develop a technique that analyzes the global behavior of frame structures with local cracks. The technique is based on frame analysis and uses the stiffness matrix of cracked frame element. An algorithm proposed here analyzes a frame structure with local transverseedge cracks, considering the effects of crack length and location. Stress intensity factors are employed to calculate additional local compliance due to the cracks based on linear elastic fracture mechanics theory, and then this local compliance is utilized to derive the stiffness matrix of the cracked frame element. In order to verify the accuracy and reliability of the proposed approach, numerical results are compared with those of Finite Element Method for the cracked frame element, and the effects of single crack on the behavior of truss structure are also examined.

Traditional mathematics education research is based on mathematics and psychology, but its function is limited. In the end of the 1980's, the social research of mathematics education appeared. The research views are from sociology, anthropology, and cultural psychology, and then it is an exterior research. The social research considers the relations, power, situation, context, etc. This paper analyzes the power relationship in mathematics classroom. Firstly, the power is defined. The meaning of the power is the foundation of this paper. Secondly, the power relationships in mathematics classroom are analyzed. The traditional mathematics classroom and collaborative learning classroom are considered. Thirdly, the paper analyzes the power resources and finds the some important factors that affect the power distribution.

This paper presents two social and academic studies on the boundary between cultural production and consumption. The first line of the study on cultural omnivore analyzes the choice of heterogeneous audiences in the face of various cultural offerings. The second line is a study of market categories, which analyzes the responses of peer audiences to objects with different levels of category code compliance. As such, this paper developed a heterogeneous audience model to evaluate objects of different types. This allows us to consider two dimensions of cultural preference: diversity and orientation of selection. To this end, this paper proposes a new analytical frame work to map consumption behavior on these two dimensions. The results suggest that one type of target that values diversity and transformation is particularly resistant to those that span boundaries. We test this argument in the analysis of two large data sets on film and restaurant reviews. Overall, our findings can extend beyond cultural consumption. Outline variability of contextual individuals or individuals in the same situation can cross cultural boundaries even if they are not intentionally pursuing such hybridism.

The purpose of this study is to suggest a basis for exterior space improving in university campus in terms of upgrading the quality of university education environment by analysing user's cognition and physical feature about campus exterior space. For this, this study was survey six major university students in Busan city about perception of campus exterior space, and analyzes the user's cognition by using natural-language vocabulary analysis for qualitative approach. Next, this study analyzes the physical feature of campus exterior space by investigating user's intensive using spaces and preferred, non-preferred spaces in their universities, then propose the improved direction of campus exterior space by comparing the analyzed data of user's cognition and physical feature. A SPSS20 program is used for the data analysis and the sample sizes are 171 college students.

In this paper, time-frequency analysis and multi-dimensional spectral analysis methods are applied to source identification and diagnostic of non-stationary sound vibration signals. By checking the coherences for concerned time, this simulation is very well coincident to expected results. The proposed method analyzes the signal instantaneously in both time and frequency domains. The MDSA (Multiple Dimensional Spectral Analysis) analyzes the signal in the plane of instantaneous time and instantaneous frequency at the same time. And it was verified by using the 1500cc passenger car which is accelerated from 70Hz to 95Hz in 4 seconds, the proposed method is effective in determining the vehicle diagnostic problems.

This study is intended to propose a plan index that can be used in the early stage of a museum design based on theoretical review of a major space of a museum including its spatial division, functions and roles. The scope of the study includes functions and roles of circulation in a major space based on precedent studies. The spatial range is limited to a major space among exhibition spaces in a museum. This study analyzes overseas 14 museums. In terms of methodology, the study analyzes circulation in a descriptive way only In the focusing on floor plan and section composition. The results of this study are as follows. First, vertical elements should be critically considered in a circulation plan for functional performance of dimensional circulation distribution in a major space. Second, a plan by location of vertical and horizontal moving elements related to a major space affects a circulation relation more than a connection type between a major space and an exhibition area.

CBP market which is the first stage of competitive electricity market has been operated and the KPX has been established since April, 2001 by restructuring plan for electricity industry. Baseload unit are settled with baseload CP and BLMP in CBP market. The other unit are settled with peakload CP and SMP. The difference of settlement between two groups occurs the profit changes of the unit. This paper analyzes the profit by units under settlement rule in CBP market. It analyzes the difference between market clearing price and variable costs, and fixed cost recovery through CP income. Finally, this paper suggests the plan how market was affected by the difference of fixed cost recovery by generators and how to improve Intermediate and peak load unit's profit.

This article is composed of three parts in this article. The first part reviews, in the general, condition on Chinese forest resource history and analyzes the change in different historical times. The present condition and existing problems are discussed in the second part, where analyzes the existing problems in different distribution areas. In the third part, the solutions are raised to solve the problems mentioned in the second part. Finally the objective and strategy for sustainable development of Chinese forest resources are put forward.
