This paper aims to make a brief survey of the main concepts and theoretical frameworks proposed by Comparative Institutional Analysis. The main concepts to be discussed are 'institutional complementarity', 'diversity', 'system' and 'institutional hierarchy'. This paper also analyzes the recent evolution of U.S national innovation system using these concepts.

This paper analyzes the impact of digitalization on networks in Seoul Metropolitan Area by considering facility investment together with operatinng costs. This paper analyzes Empire style costume based on the fashion theory of Lauer and Lauer. We classify fashion into tow categories, a personal identities, the social competition and sexual competition, he economic factor as a functional factor, and the reflective thing of zeitgeist, eroticism as a dynamic factor. These factors can be visualized from fashion design, textiles, ornaments expressed in the paintings.

The paper analyzes the philosophy of mathematics and outlook on the mathematics education as the philosophy of mathematics in the history of mathematics. We have found that various views of the human society have led us to the various philosophy of mathematics. This change of philosophy have important implications to the didactics of mathematics. This study tries to find out the direction of outlook on the mathematics education in the future.

This paper analyzes how a shipowner or charterer may determine the specification of optimal ship size for a given route with respect to certain market requirements. The theory of optimal ship size, a methodology for estimating scale economics, and the various factors affecting ship size are examined using a typical conventional cargo ship and bulk cargo carriers based on shipowners' cost data.

This study analyzes the symbolism of uniform in modern Korea, based on the symbolic interaction theory. I classify a representative symbol among many symbols in one uniform. I found the sex, age, occupation, situation, religious, group belogning,cleanlines,authority, superiority, and rank symbol in the modern Koran uniform.
