  • Purpose: Retailing is a very special sector because it demonstrates the effectiveness of combined products and services to create business values. In this study, the author wants to investigate particular areas in the distribution sciences of the purchasing process in Coopmart (Saigon Coop-Vietnam), which is about sauces and seasoning. Research design, data and methodology: The data were collected by experts of Saigon coop, which first went through the Delphi method to choose criteria and sub-criteria for the Analytic Hierarchical Process (AHP). Results: After a long process of calculation based on AHP, the final supplier is chosen according to experts' interview; Masan is the most potential candidate to be the main supplier of sauces and seasoning to Coop mart. Therefore, it is necessary to apply the typical methods such as quantitative analysis of this process - AHP. With the aim of increasing the computational content of the evaluation process suppliers, especially the comparison of suppliers in the same industry as AHP has shown. This enables analyses of all the providers to be more scientific. Conclusions: Thus, this paper would help the facility managers ensure objectives to the reasonable decision, which can be based on AHP to get more information, implement plans and get strategic collaboration with suppliers.

  • Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) is a famous method amongst Multi Criteria Decision Making (MCDM), set up by Saaty in 1980. AHP can be determined as a methodology of hierarchical analysis following reasonable decision making with make simpler a difficult crisis. Decision making in systems of Safety management concerned multipart challenges. AHP is process for get better the composite decisions understanding with analyzes of the problem in a structure of hierarchy. The integration all of applicable decision criteria, their pair wise judgment permits the decision maker to establish the trade-offs amongst objectives. In recent years, Malaysian's economy and infrastructure development have significantly and rapidly risen. The construction industry continues to play a major role in this development as many construction activities have been carried out to meet the high demands of the expansive market. However, the construction industry has faced a wide range of challenges, one of which is the frequent occurrences of accidents at the workplace. An effective safety program can substantially reduce accidents because it can help management to build up safer means of operations and create safe working environments for the workers. Furthermore, by having an effective safety programs, good safety culture can be embedded in organization because it can encourage mutual cooperation between management and workers in the operations of the programs and decisions that affect their safety and health. The focus of this research is development methodology of Analytics Hierarchy Process (AHP) in construction safety factors and investigates the levels of some effective elements in SMS in Malaysian construction industries.

  • This study proposes a new site selection model which reflects integrated opinions of several groups and identifies sites through objectivity of selection procedure. The proposed model consists of two parts, Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) and Geographic Information(GIS). This model was applied to Seocho-gu in Seoul. First, library site selection criteria were determined through literature study. Hierarchical relationship based on the questionnaire was determined and refined to be suited to Seocho-gu case. A survey was conducted with three groups, namely, library users, librarians, and public worker. A few inconsistent answers to the survey questionnaire were excluded and the relative importance of each criterion was measured. Next, an overlay method was used and the relative importance was used as a weight for selecting candidates. This process excluded the areas where a library was unable to be built, for example, rivers, military areas, other restricted areas by law, etc. and resulted in seventy-five sites. Five groups of candidates were identified according to the similarity of criteria. Finally, four groups, after eliminating one lowly fitted group, were determined.

  • This study analyzes the relative importance and priorities on the early childhood teacher's rights using hierarchical analysis process(AHP) and suggests the theoretical and practical implications. We conducted the survey of the practitioners and academics in order to provide comprehensive and balanced discussion on the area of early childhood teacher's rights and sub-factors. The results of analyses show that the professional authority is the most important rights of establishing the early childhood teacher's rights. Second, the results show that the rights to guide young children and to decide on a teaching method are more important than other factors in professional authorities. Third, the results indicate that the right to have an their identity and the right of claim for remuneration are more important than others in the Publicness. In the labor factor, the experts emphasize that the right to make union for early childhood teachers is more important than the right of teachers' union for bargaining. These confirm the difference of the perceptions of the relative importance and priority on the areas of early childhood teacher's rights and sub-factors between the practitioners and academics. Based on these findings, we discuss the implications for improving the early childhood teacher's rights.

  • As current postal automation is limited to dispatch and arrival sorting, delivery sequence sorting is performed manually by each postman. It not only acts as a bottleneck process in the overall mailing process but is expensive operation. To cope with this problem effectively, delivery sequence sorting automation is required. The important components of delivery sequence sorting automation system are sequence sorter and Hangul OCR which function is to extract the address of delivery point. DSI database will be interfaced to both Hangul OCR and sequence sorter for finding the accurate delivery sequence number and stacker number. The objectives of this research are to develop DSI(Delivery Sequence Information) database prototype and client application for managing information effectively. For database requirements collection and analysis, we draw all possible sorting plans, and apply the AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) method to determine the optimal one. And then, we design DSI database schema based on the optimal one and implement it using Oracle RDBMS. In addition, as address information in DIS database consist of hierarchical structure which has its correspondence sequence number, so it is important to reorganize sequence information accurately when address information is inserted, deleted or updated. To increase delivery accuracy, we reflect this point in writing application.

  • During the hierarchical formation of large scale structure in the universe, the progressive collapse and merging of dark matter should inevitably drive shocks into the gas, with nonthermal particle acceleration as a natural consequence. Two topics in this regard are discussed, emphasizing what important things nonthermal phenomena may tell us about the structure formation (SF) process itself. 1. Inverse Compton gamma-rays from large scale SF shocks and non-gravitational effects, and the implications for probing the warm-hot intergalactic medium. We utilize a semi-analytic approach based on Monte Carlo merger trees that treats both merger and accretion shocks self-consistently. 2. Production of $^6Li$ by cosmic rays from SF shocks in the early Galaxy, and the implications for probing Galaxy formation and uncertain physics on sub-Galactic scales. Our new observations of metal-poor halo stars with the Subaru High Dispersion Spectrograph are highlighted.

  • This paper presents an economic analysis for alternatives of the building telecommunications cabling system to accommodate multimedia services. Four alternatives are developed with respect to capacities of the building telecommunications cabling systems. Economic analysis includes qualitative analysis as well as quantitative one and the results of those analyses are incorporated with AHP(analytic hierarchical process) method. In analyzing the alternatives, based on the possible growth of multimedia traffic and evolution of access networks, various scenarios are considered. The results suggest not only the most competitive alternative but also the conditions for each alternative to gain the competitive edge.

  • The objective of this study is to identify the critical dimensions of comprehensive quality and to prioritize them for improvement of the quality competitive advantage. The critical dimensions, sub-dimensions and measurement items of comprehensive quality were abstracted from literature of quality, and constructed a model of hierarchical structure. 115 experts in four groups(supplier, buyer, consultant, and professor) were participated in pair-wise comparison of quality dimensions, but some of these responses were removed because the overall consistency of evaluator judgements exceed the acceptable ratio of 0.10. The priorities of quality dimensions for industrial and consumption goods were calculated respectively using the analytic hierarchy process(AHP) approach. As a result, product quality had the highest weight of 0.65, followed by support quality(0.18) and service quality(0.17) for industrial goods while product quality also had the highest weight of 0.62, but service quality(0.22) was preferred over support quality(0.16) for consumption goods.
