Anal Therapy is taken valid compound of herb med and has many kinds of treatments. As one of the anal therapy, retention enema is most common and useful way. This study was performed in order to literatural basements of clinical treatments. we had cleared manifest about the origin and literatural basement of anal therapy, methods of management, classification of indication, clinical application and so forth. The results were summerised as follows. 1. It explained relationships between anus and Ojang-yukbu(五臟六腑), Sibie-geongmaek(十二經脈). But in fact the origin of anal therapy is Milgeon-dobub(蜜煎導法) and Jedamjib-dobub(猪膽汁導法) in Sanghan-jabbyungron(傷寒雜病論) of Han Dynasty. 2. The effect of anal therapy can be reached to the destination through theory of the organism which is called Jung-chei theory(整體論) and local medical action. We can find a little in Naegeong(內經), which is basement of Hang-jang therapy. 3. Anal Therapy have Kwanjaogbub(灌腸法), Guhangbub(灸肛法), Dohangbub(塗肛法), Hoonhangbub(熏肛法), Saekhangbub(塞肛法), Youkhangbub(浴肛法), Jwajeombub(坐점法) e.t.c. 4. Anal Therapy is available when person can't taken by mouth. Its benefits are fast effect and low side effect about liver because it is not taken trough liver mostly. 5. Anal Therapy has been used for the treatment of diseases such as stroke, high fever, pneumonia, ulcerative colitis, prostatitis, renal failure, pelvic inflammation. cancer and so on.

Objective: Case study of hemorrhoid improvement by ortho-cellular nutrition therapy. Methods: A Korean woman in her 40s had been experiencing hemorrhoid symptoms for two years, and recently, severe anal pain rendered her unable to carry out daily activities. Results: After implementing nutrition therapy, the patient's anal pain and edema were completely resolved. Conclusion: Applying nutrition therapy to patients with hemorrhoids can assist in symptom relief.

Purpose: To compare the effects of intra-anal biofeedback (BF) and intra-anal electrical stimulation (ES) on pelvic floor muscles (PFMs) activity, nocturnal bladder capacity, and frequency of wet night episodes in children with refractory primary monosymptomatic nocturnal enuresis (PMNE). Methods: Ninety children of both sexes aged 8-12 years with refractory PMNE participated in this study. They were randomly assigned to 3 groups of equal number: control group (CON) that underwent behavioral therapy and PFM training, and 2 study groups (BF and ES) that underwent the same program in addition to intra-anal BF training and intra-anal ES, respectively. PFMs activity was assessed using electromyography, nocturnal bladder capacity was evaluated by measuring the first morning voided volume, and a nocturnal enuresis diary was used for documenting wet night episodes before treatment and after 3 months of treatment. Results: After training, all groups showed statistically significant improvements in all measured outcomes compared to their pretreatment findings. The ES group showed significantly greater improvements in all measured outcomes than the CON and BF groups. Conclusions: Both intra-anal BF training and ES combined with behavioral therapy and PFMs training were effective in the treatment of PMNE, with intra-anal ES being superior to BF training.

Anal Therapy is another way of taking medicine. It is a traditional pathway but not available in common situation. Nevertheless, It has many benifect and usefulness, it has not treated so much. Through Anal Therapy, the valid compound of Herb med can be reach to the desination in theory of the organism and loca1 medical action. The former is called Jung-Chei Theory(整體論), which is the one of the most important basements in building traditional Korean medicine. As there are many kinds of Anal therapy, this study use reservation type. Sosihotang(SSHT) is one of the well-known korean medicines for a long time. It is used for the treatment of such dieases as infectious diseases, hepatic diseases and gastroenteritis and so on. In this study, the author investigated the effect of an aqueous extract of SSHT by Anal therapy(Reservative Enema) in anaphylactic shock. The following results were obtained 1. SSHT inhibited anaphylactic shock 100% with a dose of 1.0 g/kg 1 hr before intraperitoneal injection of compound 48/80. SSHT significantly reduced serum histamine contents induced by compound 48/80. 2. SSHT (0.1 g/kg) also inhibited to 30.9% (P<0.05)) local cutaneous anaphylactic reaction activated by anti-dinitrophenyl (DNP) IgE. 3. The validity rate of reservative enema is as much as oral pathway. 4. In addition, SSHT dose-dependently inhibited the histamine release from the peritoneal mast cells by compound 48/80 or anti-DNP IgE. These results provide evidence that Anal Therapy(Reservative enema) of SSHT may be beneficial in the treatment of systemic and local anaphylactic reaction. Moreover, I wish another much sincere study of Anal Therapy (Reservative enema) would be obtained.

Objective : The purpose of this study is to arrange the literature about acupuncture therapy on the hemorrhoids and hemorrhoid complicated by anal fistula. Methods : We arrange Huang Di Nei Jing and fifteen kinds of literature about the hemorrhoids and hemorrhoid complicated by anal fistula. Results : 1. The cause of hemorrhoids are overfatigue, overeating, imbalance of stool(const-ipation or diarrhea), uncontrol sexual excess or abstinence, pathgenic factors of wetness, heat, wind, dry, fire, chronical hemorrhoids that has not been treated, and general weakness. 2. Symptom of hemorrhoids is that skin is projected form the nine holes or varicose extension to become hemorrhoid. Hemorrhoids is small nodosity that projected on the anal inter or outer region, and hemorrhoid complicated by anal fistula is pus which comes out form one or some fistula on the anal around inter and outer region. 3. Therapy method of hemorrhoid and hemorrhoid complicated by anal fistula are elimination pathological heat from blood, promote blood flow to remove blood stasis, cold in nature and purge away fire, remove heat form the blood, promote blood flow to remove blood stasis, cold in nature and purge away fire, remove heat from the blood and eliminate dampness, tonify the spleen and replenish Ki, dispel wind and alleviate pain and so forth. Therapy method of hemorrhoid is to give the first consideration to relieve blood: eliminating pathological heat form blood complicated by anal fistula is to tonify the blood first, than after that eliminating pathological heat form blood. About external method are method of fumigation, method of ointment, method of close with medicine, necrotizing method and also operation(injection, bind etc.)was used for treatment. 4. The prescription are Gurgak-hwan, Wypi-hwan, Gunggyi-tang, Jingyochangchul-tang, Jingyobangpung-tang, Mokhyangbinrang-hwan, Ochi-san, Gamihyanso-san, Jojang-hwan, Sinyung-hwan used frequently. 5. food taboo on patient's diet of the hemorrhoid and hemorrhoid complicated by anal fistula are raw grain, cold or dampness food, alcohol, hot food, Singiberis rhizoma recens, Cinnamomi ramulus. 6. Acupuncture therapy on the hemorrhoid and hemorrhoid complicated by anal fistula are, in the first stage eliminating pathological heat form blood and eliminate dampness, and in the long term eliminate dampness, promote and remove meridian energy, remove that form the intestines, dispel channels and collaterals. 7. Acupuncture points at B2, CV1, B58, B36, B56, Sp5, S30, B25, B54, GV1, GV20, L6, B40 used frequently for the acupuncture therapy, and acupuncture point at GV4, GV1, B30, hemorrhoidal point used form moxibustion. Reduction blood at B40 and blue capillary of Sp9 and acupuncture Chungbaek, Ki-gack, Ki-jung, Ki-mun(Dongsh Kihyel) makes the treatment very effective.

The dried immature fruit of Poncirus trifoliata L(Ji-Sil) is widely used to treat urticaria, itch and indigestion in traditional Korean Medicine. So this study was carried out to examine the effect of an aqueous extract from immature fruit of Poncirus trifoliate L. on immediate-type allergic reaction by anal administration. Anal administration of Poncirus trifoliata L. showed a marked inhibition rate in systemic immediate-type allergic reaction with a dose of 0.1 - 1 g/kg 1 hr before intraperitoneal injection of compound 48/80. Anal administration of Poncirus tnjoliata L. (0.1 -1 g/kg) significant1y reduced plasma histamine contents induced by compound 48/80. Anal administration of Poncirus trifoliata L. (10 g/kg) also inhibited to $44.6\%$ (P<0.01) local allergic reaction activated by anti-dinitrophenyl (DNP) IgE. In addition, Syzygium aromaticum dose-dependently inhibited the histamine release from the peritoneal mast cells by compound 48/80 or anti-DNP IgE. These results provide evidence that anal therapy of Poncirus trifoliata L. may be beneficial in the treatment of systemic and local immediate-type hypersensitivity by inhibition of histamine release from mast cells in vivo and in vitro.

Dansam, the root of Salvia miltiorrhiza BGE. (Labiatae), has a bitter and a slightly 'cold' property. and is nontoxic. It has been used for the treatment of diseases such as tumors, bruises, gynecologic diseases, menoxenia, anemia and so forth. As an oriental medicine pathway, anal therapy has many kinds of treatments, Retention enema is one the most useful, advantageous methods of anal therapy. This experiment was performed in order to study the effect of an aqueous extract of Salviae radix root(SRRAE) on Immediate type allergic reaction by Retention enema. The results were obtained as follows, 1. SRRAE inhibited compound 48/80-induced Immediate type allergic reaction 100% with the dose of 0.1g/kg by anal treatment. However, SRRAE showed no significant inhibitory effect on the same reaction by oral treatment. When mice were pretreated with SRRAE at a concentration ranging from 0.001 to 1.0g/kg, by intra-anal treatment, the serum histamine levels were reduced in a dose-dependent manner. 2. SRRAE also inhibited by 79.8% local cutaneous allergic reaction activated by anti-dinitrophenyl (DNP) IgE. 3. SRRAE close-dependently inhibited the histamine release from rat peritoneal mast cells(RPMC) by anti-DNP IgE., but SRRAE not inhibited compound 48/80-induced histamine release. 4. SRRAE dose-dependently inhibited tumor necrosis $factor-\;{\alpha}$ $(TNF-\;{\alpha}$) production from RPMC by anti-DNP IgE. Moreover, the level of cAMP in RPMC, when SRRAE was added, significantly increased compared with that of a normal control. According to the above results, anal therapy(Retention enema) of SRRAE may be beneficial in the treatment of systemic and local Immediate type allergic reactions.

Objective : Anal Therapy is another way of taking medicine and applies to each field of clinical treatment extensively. Sinpo-tang(SPT) has been used for the treatment of a allergic rhinitis. In this study, the auther investigated the anti anaphylactic action of Sinpo-tang by anal therapy was investigated on cutaneous allergic reaction models. Methods : Results : 1. Sinpo-tang (0,001-0.1 g/kg) dose-dependently inhibited the compound 48/80-induced ear swelling response in mice. Inhibitory effect of Sinpo-tang was significant (P < 0.05) at the doses of 0.01, 0.1 g/kg. 2. Sinpo-tang (0.001-0.1 g/kg) inhibited the cutaneous allergic reaction activated by anti-dinitrophenyl IgE in rats. Of special note, Sinpo-tang (0.1 g/kg) inhibited the cutaneous allergic reaction by $68\%$. 3. This inhibitory effect of Sinpo-tang was confirmed by observation of alcian blue/nuclear fast red stained-mast cells in the cutaneous tissue. 4. Sinpo-tang (0.01-1 g/L) dose-dependently inhibited the compound 48/80-induced histamine release from the peritoneal mast cells. Conclusions :These results indicate that anal therapy of Sinpo-tang may be beneficial in the treatment of mast cell-mediated anaphylaxis by inhibition of histamine release from mast cells in vivo and in vitro.

Cloves are the dried flower buds of Syzygium aromaticum (L.) Mere et Perry (Myrtaceae). They have been successfully used for the management of various allergic disorders by oral administration in Korea. In this study, the author investigated the effect of an aqueous extract of Syzygium aromaticum on immediate-type hypersensitivity by anal administration. Anal administration of Syzygium aromaticum showed a marked inhibition rate in systemic hypersensitivity with a dose of 1 mg/kg 1 hr before intraperitoneal injection of compound 48/80. Anal administration of Syzygium aromaticum significantly reduced plasma histamine contents induced by compound 48/80. Anal administration of Syzygium aromaticum (1 mg/kg) also inhibited to $61.4\%$ (P<0.01) local a1lergic reaction activated by anti-dinitrophenyl (DNP) IgE. In addition, Syzygium aromaticum dose-dependently inhibited the histamine release from the peritoneal mast cells by compound 48/80 or anti-DNP IgE. When Syzygium aromaticum was added, the level of cAMP in peritoneal mast cells transiently and significantly increased about 47-fold at 10 second compared with that of basal cells. These results provide evidence that anal therapy of Syzygium aromaticum may be beneficial in the treatment of systemic and local immediate-type hypersensitivity by inhibition of histamine release from mast cells in vivo and in vitro.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to analyze the trend of Korean medical treatments on Anal diseases and skin disorder around anal. Methods : Based on KCI, OASIS, NDSL, KISS with the keyword 'Anal', 'Hemorrhoid', 'Ani', 'Anal fistula', 'incontinence', 'anal prolapse', 'anal fissure'. published in 2000-2018.11.10., total 9 studies have been found and analyzed. Results : Among 9 studies, 15 cases were selected. Acupuncture, herb medicine, phamacopuncture, moxibustion, fumigation therapy and habit correction were used as treatment for Anal disease. All of research which selected have reported that the Korean medical treatment was effective. Conclusions : According to the results, Korean medical treatments can be effective treatment for anal diseases. Based of this result, studies which is multifocal will be needed steadily.
