꿈나무 국가대표 육상선수들의 단거리, 중장거리 종목에 따른 신체 조성 분석 (Analysis of Body Composition according to Short Distance and Middle & Long Distance of Youth National Athletic Athletes)

  • PURPOSE: This study compared the body composition according to the sport of short-distance and middle & long-distance athletes to identify the factors that affect the body composition. METHODS: Forty-eight athletes selected as youth national athletes in 2019 participated in the study. The study participants measured the length of the lower extremities, body composition, and anaerobic ability. An independent sample t-test was conducted to compare the body composition according to the event. In addition, the Pearson correlation was performed to identify the factors that influence the body composition. RESULTS: The leg length of the Short and Middle & long-distance athletes were similar (p = .584). On the other hand, there were differences in the body fat percentage (p = .001), lean percentage (p = .001), and BMI (p = .001). In addition, the body fat percentage was correlated with the lean body mass (r = .419) and BMI (r = .447). Furthermore, the lean body mass was correlated with the BMI (r = .849) and the peak power (r = .662) and mean power (r = .686) of the anaerobic capacity. Moreover, the BMI was correlated with the peak power (r = .490) and mean power (r = .543) of the anaerobic capacity. The peak power of the anaerobic ability was correlated with the mean power (r = .931). CONCLUSION: The body composition differed according to the sport. The body fat percentage correlated with the lean body mass and the BMI. The lean body mass correlated with the BMI, peak power of anaerobic ability, and mean power. The BMI correlated with the anaerobic capacity.

  • 다양한 하 폐수 처리공정 중 혐기성 소화공정은 이산화탄소 배출을 감소시키고 생성되는 메탄을 에너지로서 사용할 수 있는 장점을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 혐기성 소화공정의 문제점과 보완점에 대해 살펴보았다. 가수분해과정은 혐기성 소화과정 중 율속단계에 해당하여 소화공정과정을 촉진시키고 바이오가스의 생산을 증가시키기 위하여 다양한 전처리 방법이 개발되어왔다. 현재 혐기성 소화공정을 위한 전처리 방법 중 열처리 방법, 초음파 처리, 기계적 처리방법, 화학적 처리방법 등이 상업적으로 이용되고 있으며, 이들 공정은 슬러지 플록 또는 세포의 파괴를 통해 세포분획물이 생물학적으로 분해될 수 있는 형태로 전환시키는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이러한 과정들 모두는 특정 상황에 따른 장점과 단점을 모두 지니고 있으므로 각 공정과정에 대한 이해와 이를 통한 적용을 통해 특정 슬러지에 적합한 최적의 전처리 공정을 도출해 낼 필요가 있다. 또한 혐기성 소화공정의 효율증대와 경제성 확대를 위한 혐기성 소화공정 개발이 필요하다고 할 수 있다.

  • Carbon monoxide (CO)-utilizing acetogens were enriched and KIST612 isolated from anaerobic digester fluid was selected for its abilities to tolerate high CO and acetate concentration. The isolate KIST612 was identified as Eubacterium limosum based on the morphological and biochemical characteristics, G+C content of DNA and 16S rRNA sequence analysis. E. limosum KIST612 produced acetate and butyrate from CO. The optimum temperature and pH for the growth and acids formations were 37$\cdot $C and 7.0, respectively. The growth rate and acids productivity of E. limosum KIST612 were higher than those of any other known acetogens when CO was used as the sole energy and carbon source.

반추동물용 사료첨가제개발을 위한 홀스타인 젖소의 반추위로부터 분리한 혐기성 섬유소 분해균의 특성연구 (Isolation of Anaerobic Cellulolytic Bacteria from the Rumen of Holstein Dairy Cows to Develop Feed Additives for Ruminants)

  • In order to develop a high cellulolytic direct-fed microorganism (DFM) for ruminant productivity improvement, this study isolated cellulolytic bacteria from the rumen of Holstein dairy cows, and compared their cellulolytic abilities via DM degradability, gas production and cellulolytic enzyme activities. Twenty six bacteria were isolated from colonies grown in Dehority's artificial (DA) medium with 2% agar and cultured in DA medium containing filter paper at $39^{\circ}C$ for 24h. 16s rDNA gene sequencing of four strains from isolated bacteria showed that H8, H20 and H25 strains identified as Ruminococcus flavefaciens, and H23 strain identified as Fibrobacter succinogenes. H20 strain had higher degradability of filter paper compared with others during the incubation. H8 (R. flavefaciens), H20 (R. flavefaciens), H23 (F. succinogenes), H25 (R. flavefaciens) and RF (R. flavefaciens sijpesteijn, ATCC 19208) were cultured in DA medium with filter paper as a single carbon source for 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6 days without shaking at $39^{\circ}C$, respectively. Dry matter degradability rates of H20, H23 and H25 were relatively higher than those of H8 and RF since 2 d incubation. The cumulative gas production of isolated cellulolytic bacteria increased with incubation time. At every incubation time, the gas production was highest in H20 strain. The activities of carboxymethylcellulase (CMCase) and Avicelase in the culture supernatant were significantly higher in H20 strain compared with others at every incubation time (p<0.05). Therefore, although further researches are required, the present results suggest that H20 strain could be a candidate of DFM in animal feed due to high cellulolytic ability.

Xylanase를 생산하는 호알칼리성 균주의 분리 및 동정 (Isolation and Identification of Alkalophilic Microorganism Producing Xylanase)

  • Xylanase를 생산하는 호알칼리성 균주를 토양으로부터 분리하여 동정하였다. 토양으로부터 분리한 호알칼리성 균주 3000여종 중 xylanase 활성이 가장 높은 균주인 strain DK-2386 균주를 선별하였다. Gram 염색과 SEM을 통한 형태학적 특성을 관찰하였으며, Methods for General and Molecular Bacteriology와 Bergey's manual of systematic bacteriology, 그리고 Biochemical tests for identification of medical bacteria에 준하여 생화학적 특성을 확인한 결과 배양액의 색은 붉은 빛을 나타내었으며, Gram양성 간균, 내생포자형성, catalase 양성, oxidase 양성, 혐기성 양성, glucose로부터 gas 형성 양성, casein 가수분해 양성, starch 가수분해 양성, CMC 가수분해 양성, xylan 가수분해 양성, nitrate 환원능 양성이며 10% NaCl 농도에서도 생육하는 것을 확인하였다. 균체의 지방산 조성 분석 결과 $C_{15:0\;ISO}$ 27.35%와 $C_{15:0\;ANTEISO}$ 31.54%, $C_{16:0}$ 9.70%로 이루어져 Bacillus속으로 동정되었으며, 16S rDNA 염기서열 분석결과 B. agaradhaerens와 100%의 유사성을 갖는 것을 확인하였다. (사)한국종균협회로부터 분양받은 Bacillus agaradhaerens 40952, B. alcalophilus와 strain DK-2386 균주사이의 생화학적 특성을 비교한 결과 B. agaradhaerens와 속과 종이 같으나 미세하게 특성이 다른 균주로 판단되어 B. agarad haerens DK-2386이라 명명하였다.
