EUV 세정에서 정전기 제어를 위한 전해이온수 거동의 분자궤도 이해 (Understanding Behaviors of Electrolyzed Water in Terms of Its Molecular Orbitals for Controlling Electrostatic Phenomenon in EUV Cleaning)

  • The electrostatic phenomenon seriously issued in extreme ultraviolet semiconductor cleaning was studied in junction with molecular dynamic aspect. It was understood that two lone pairs of electrons in water molecule were subtly different each other in molecular orbital symmetry, existed as two states of large energy difference, and became basis for water clustering through hydron bonds. It was deduced that when hydrogen bond formed by lone pair of higher energy state was broken, two types of [H2O]+ and [H2O]- ions would be instantaneously generated, or that lone pair of higher energy state experiencing reactions such as friction with Teflon surface could cause electrostatic generation. It was specifically observed that, in case of electrolyzed cathode water, negative electrostatic charges by electrons were overlapped with negative oxidation reduction potentials without mutual reaction. Therefore, it seemed that negative electrostatic development could be minimized in cathode water by mutual repulsion of electrons and [OH]- ions, which would be providing excellences on extreme ultraviolet cleaning and electrostatic control as well.

점토와 전기로 제강분진의 콜로이드/계면 특성 분석 (Characterization of colloid/interface properties between clay and EAF dust)

  • 중금속 이온의 용출거동은 콜로이드/계면 성질에 의존하는데, 이를 알아보기 위해 ICP와 SEM 분석을 하였다. 전기로 제강분진에 포함된 중금속은 '양쪽성 금속'으로 pH 10에서 중금속이 가장 적게 용출되는 것을 알 수 있었고 pH 8보다 pH 12에서 중금속 이온이 상당량 용출되어 나왔다. 그리고 전기로 제강분진에 점토를 첨가함으로써 중금속 이온의 용출이 감소하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 특히 pH 12의 경우에 pH 8에 비해서 중금속 이온의 용출이 큰 폭으로 감소하였으며 콜로이드계면 성질 관찰 결과, 점토의 경우 pH 12에서 점토에서 녹아나온 Si 수화물이 점토 입자표면을 둘러싸고 있음을 관찰할 수 있었다. 전기로 제강분진과 점토의 혼합 슬러리에서 pH 8의 경우보다 pH 12에서 중금속 이온의 농도가 크게 감소한 것은 PSHP의 형성에 의한 것으로 사료된다.

  • All the activities and physical properties including surface tension' foaming power, foam stability, emulsifying power, dispersion effect of 3-(N, N-dimethyl N-alkylammonio)-2-hydroxyY-1-propane sulfonate (HSB)류와 3-CN-alkylamidopropyl-N,N-dimethylamm-onjo)-2-hydroxy-1-propane sulfonate (APSB) aquous solution were measured and critical micelle concentration was evaluated. Their cmc of hydroxy sulfobetaine derivatives evaluated by the surface tension method was $1.0{\times}10^{-3}{\sim}1.0{\times}10^{-4}$ mol/l, and surface tension of the aquous solution was decreased to $27{\sim}38dyne/cm$. The experimental results for foaming power, foam stability, emulsifying power in liquid paraffin showed a good surface active properties, especially, dispersion effect in ferric oxide exhibited some efficient surface active properties, and then it would be expected to application as detergent and dispersion agent.

양이온 폴리머와 음이온/양쪽성 계면활성제로 형성된 코아세르베이트 건조 필름 특성이 샴푸 건조 후 사용감에 미치는 영향 (Surface Properties of the Dried Coacervate Film Affect Dry Feel of the Shampoo Composed of Cationic Polymer and Anionic/Amphoteric Surfactant)

  • 본 연구는 건조된 코아세르베이트 필름의 물리적 특성이 샴푸 건조 후 모발 사용감에 미치는 상관관계를 조사하기 위하여 실시하였다. 단순 샴푸 조성물은 동일한 조성의 계면활성제에 양이온 전하 밀도가 서로 다른 두 종류의 양이온 폴리머를 사용하여 제조하였다. 이 단순 조성물을 물에 희석하여 코아세르베이트(Coacervate)를 형성되도록 하였고, 3000 rpm, 30 min 조건으로 원심 분리하여 형성된 코아세르베이트를 얻었다. 얻어진 코아세르베이트를 유리판 위에 균일한 두께로 도포하고 $50^{\circ}C$ 건조기에서 1 h 건조하여 코아세르베이트 필름을 얻었다. 이렇게 얻어진 코아세르베이트 필름의 접촉각과 코아세르베이트의 SEM 이미지 조사를 수행하였고, 코아세르베이트의 수분 보유량과 수분 유지력을 동시에 조사하였다. 샴푸 후 건조된 모발의 부드러움과 보습감은 모발타래를 이용하여 전문 미용 패널이 평가를 수행하였다. 본 실험결과 건조된 코아세르베이트 필름의 특성이 샴푸 후 건조된 모발의 부드러움 및 보습감에 영향을 주는 것으로 확인되었다.

p-클로로벤조산의 가용화에서 계면활성제분자의 머리-그룹과 꼬리-그룹이 미치는 효과 (Effects of Surfactant Molecules’ Head- and Tail-groups on the Solubilization of p-Chlorobenzoic Acid)

  • 양이온성, 비이온성, 양쪽성 계면활성제 및 그들의 혼합 계면활성제용액에서 p-클로로벤조산의 가용화상수(Ks)를 UV-Vis법으로 측정하였다. 계면활성제분자에서 탄소사슬의 길이가 서로 다른 소수성 꼬리-그룹과 친수성인 머리-그룹의 변화가 가용화에 미치는 효과를 조사하였으며, 또한 온도변화에 따른 Ks 값의 변화로부터 여러 가지 열역학적 함수 값들을 계산하고 분석하였다. 그 결과, 모든 계면활성제용액에서 p-클로로벤조산의 가용화에 대한 ΔGo 값은 모두 음의 값을 그리고 ΔHo와 ΔSo의 값은 모두 양의 값을 나타내었다.

탈묵펄프 및 열기계펄프의 공정 조절을 통한 인쇄용지의 품질향상 연구 (Studies on the Quality Improvement of Printing Paper by Process Controlling of DIP and TMP)

  • Recently, the use of wood resources has been limited due to global environmental change, like global warming and desertification. It is very critical in Korea's paper industries because lots of virgin pulp are dependant on direct import from abroad for printing grade of paper. In this work, the alternatively best available technique for reducing the import amounts of BKP (bleached Kraft pulp) was considered by mixing DIP (deinked pulp) and TMP (thermomechanical pulp) for the manufacture of high quality paper. Generally known, the sheet prepared from fibrous raw materials of DIP and TMP has lower strength and optical properties than that prepared from BKP. This study was aimed to improve the sheet quality by using DIP and TMP. 4 kinds of polyelectrolytes were approached to find out the best effects on physical strength and optical brightness improvements, and high retention behaviors with GCC (ground calcium carbonate). In conclusion, amphoteric PAM with 1,000,000 molecular weight (g/mol) and 0.5 charge density (meq/g) was best for the improvement of strength properties with the mixture of DIP and TMP. GCC retention rate was also the highest with cationic-PAM of above 2,000,000 molecular weight (g/mol) and about 2.0-3.0 charge density (meq/g) of strengthening agent.

개질처리된 목질계 스페이서의 산업용지 생산현장 적용평가 (The Evaluation of the Application of Modified Wood Powder Spacers to Liner Board Mill Trials)

  • The reduction of the energy consumption in papermaking process become more important issue because of the regulation of green house gas (GHG) emission. Since more than half of energy for papermaking process is consumed during drying process, the increase of the drying efficiency would be very important solution for saving energy and reduction of GHG emission. The improvement of drying efficiency could be very difficult for the liner board mill because the liner board are usually made of recycled paper, OCC (old corrugated container). The short fiber and fines originated the OCC lead to compact sheet structure and delay the water flow out during wet pressing process and drying process. The application of lignocellulose spacer could provide more loose wet sheet structure and result in the higher drainage rate and the improved drying efficiency. In this study, the effects of the application of lignocellulose spacer to the liner board mill were evaluated based on the mill trial. In order to overcome the common disadvantage of the spacer, the loss of strength properties, the spacer was pretreated with amphoteric polyelectrolyte during mill trial. The results showed the application of pretreated spacer improved the drying efficiency by reducing steam consumption. And the loss in the strength properties by the spacer could be supplemented by the pretreatment.

변성 폴리아크릴 아미드의 합성 및 제지공정의 보류시스템에 응용 (Synthesis of modified polyacrylamides and their applications for the retention system of papermaking)

  • The purpose of this study was to improve not only wet-end performances but also paper characteristics by the modification of various factors like molecular design and ionic characteristics of polyacrylamides First of all physical characteristics were observed after modify molecular design of the cationic polyacrylamides to linear, branched and cross-linked. In addition it was found analysis method to confirm branch degree of cationic polyacrylamides to combine ionic titration characteristics and spectroscopic behavior, After application of these structure modified polyacrylamides to the multiple retention systems with inorganic microparticles, it was found adjusting of branch degree of polyacrylamides was very important to optimize wet-end improvement. Second, After polymerization of amphoteric polyacrylamide to have both of cationic and anionic functional group in the polymer, we observed not only physical characteristics but also wet-end improvement to apply recycled pulp and found that the improvement of solution stability to prevent hydrolysis and increase of ash retention dramatically to compare traditional cationic polyacrylamide retention aid, Finally, After polymerization of anionic polyacrylamide, we observed not only wet-end improvement but also paper characteristics to apply preflocculation of PCC and it was found the improvements of flocculation efficiency, retention, ash retention, optical properties of the paper and bursting strength to compare traditional preflocculant of cationic polyacrylamide.

비이온성 계면활성제의 운점이 OMG 배합비가 증가된 폐 신문지 탈묵효율에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Cloud Point of Non-ionic Surfactant on Deinking Efficiency of ONP at High Blending Ratio of OMG)

  • Nowadays blending ratio of OMG (old magazine) in recovered paper used for manufacturing newspaper have been increased. When large amount of OMG is consumed in newsprint mill, brightness can be improved by inorganic pigments of coating layer. On the other hand decrease in yield of deinking process will be encountered because the pigments can be removed as reject of froth flotation process. Therefore selection of the optimal deinking agent is an important. Non-ionic surfactant have been used widely in newsprint mill. Non-ionic surfactant has amphoteric characteristics. Hydrophilic group is ethylene and propylene oxide that can induce hydrogen bonding with water molecules. In this regard, cloud point is an important parameter in order to control efficiency of deinking process because hydration of the hydrophobic group can be varied according to temperature of a system. In this study, deinking properties of ONP at high blending ratio of OMG was analyzed according to cloud points of non-ionic surfactants. $L^*$, $a^*$, $b^*$, brightness and effective residual ink concentration did not affected by the change of cloud points. Especially, flotation reject decreased significantly according to increase in cloud point of the non-ionic surfactant. Consequently, when a nonionic surfactant having a cloud point higher than the temperature of the system is used, properties of the deinked pulp can be maintained and yield of deinking process can be improved.

Amide 결합(結合)을 가진 N-carboxybetaine류(類)의 합성(合成)과 그 계면활성(界面活性) (Studies on the Synthesis and Surface Active Properties of N-carboxybetaine Derivatives Containing Amide Bond)

  • Four novel amphoteric surfactants of N-(2-alkylamidoethyl)-N, N-dimethyl ammonioacetates were synthesized. The each reaction between four saturated fatty acids containing 10, 12, 14 and 16 carbon atoms and N, N-dimethylethylene diamine permitted to give the intermediate products, N-(2-alkylamidoethyl)-N, N-dimethylamines. Quaterinzation of these intermediates was permitted to form N-(2-alkylamidoethyl)-N, N-dimethyl, ammonioacetates, whose sturctures were identified by CC, TLC, elemental analysis, IR pectrophotometry and $^1$HNMR spectrometry. The products yielded from 48% to 58%. The isoelectric points were shown in the range of $4.30{\sim}6.64$. It showed a tendency to learn to the acidic site and its range was broadened as increase of the hydrophobic group length. Surface tensions of the aqueous solution in the $10^{-6}{\sim}10^{-1}$mol/l of amidobetaines were measured. and the critical micell concentration(cmc) were shown in the range of $8.37{\times}10^{-6}{\sim}8.96{\times}10^{-2}$mol/l, and ${\Gamma}_{cmc}$ were reduced to 32.3~38.2 dyne/cm. A linear relationship between log cmc and the number of carbon in the hydrophobic alkyl chain was presented by the formula of log cmc=2.38-0.5n, and the contribution-rate of n on the standard free energy change in micellization ${\partial}({\Delta}G^0$$_m)/{\partial}n$, was calulated as -0.5RT.
