Currently, the tax - exempted vessel fuel is provided for commercial fishing in order to increase the competitive power of fishery production thorough the National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives. The National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives should predict the exact amount of fuel consumption for fishing every year to request the fuel from the government. Unfortunately, there is no sophisticated model to predict the tax - exempted vessel fuel consumption. In 2003, the consumption of the tax- exempted vessel fuel was only $25.1\%$ of the estimation amount by the National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives. This causes an inefficiency in the petroleum management. Moreover, we need some data such as the annual average fishing hours, fishing days and fishing behavior to adopt a new policy regarding fishing. Up to now, the data have been obtained by survey with response in the fishery field. In the most case, we have a small number of data because we spend so much time and money consuming for collecting fishing data. As a result, the level of confidence of the data is associated with the sample size and normally low. In order to achieve more accurate data, we need to develope an efficient method for collecting fishing data. In this research, we proposed a new method to predict the tax- exempted vessel fuel consumption more exactly. The prediction results from the proposed method has been compared with the results from the current method. According to the results in this research, the method proposed here produced much better accuracy than the current method. In addition, we also proposed in the paper for collecting fishing data of the annual average fishing hours using the tax - exempted vessel fuel consumption and the gasoline consumption of vessel engine. The fishing data obtained by using the method proposed in this research could be much more efficient and accurate because it doesn't need to estimate from survey sample data.

A firing test of the 75 tonf-class liquid rocket engine to be used as the first and second stage engines of the KSLV-II was carried out at the rocket engine test facility(RETF). Since this engine uses liquid oxygen as the oxidizer, which is a cryogenic fluid, it is essential that the chill down of the supply pipe line and engine proceed for the firing test; thus, the given inlet requirements must be met. Moreover, it is important to understand the chill down characteristics of the facility and the engine and the amount of liquid oxygen consumed in the chill down process for efficient test operation in the future. In this paper, chill down characteristics of the supply pipe and the engine were evaluated through the investigation of the chill down process of the 75 tonf-class liquid rocket engine at each stage before and after run tank pressurization. In addition, the amount of liquid oxygen consumed was also evaluated.
To provide the operation rule curve for suppling instream flow to urban stream from reservoir, the Soho reservoir with watershed area of 7.4 $km^2$ and total water storage of 2.58 $Mm^3$ was planned at the headwaters of the Daejeoncheon. Daily streamflow was simulated and using the simulated streamflow and desired instream flow, the operation rule curve by Senga method was drawn and evaluated through reservoir operation. Senga method is derived by accumulating the differences between streamflow and desired instream flow adversely. Water storages were simulated on a daily basis to supply urban instream flow from Soho reservoir, but the amount of supplying instream flow to urban stream was not nearly increased comparing with that of normal operation that does not used the rule curve. Thereafter the new simulation-based operation rule curve was derived and applied to supply instream flow from Soho reservoir. In normal operation, the amount of instream flow was shown to 15,000 $m^3$/d, but it was increased to 27,700 $m^3$/d in withdrawal limited operation using the new derived rule curve, in which the applicability of this rule curve was proved. Also comparing with the flow duration curves at station just before urban Daejeoncheon stream without and with upstream Soho reservoir, the 95th flow was decreased from 1.64 mm/d to 1.51 mm/d, and the 355th flow was increased from 0.17 mm/d to 0.30 mm/d. Monthly streamflows during October to March were increased from 10.6~24.1 mm to 24.1~34.0 mm with the increasing rate of 141~227%.
Fuel cell is one of the promising electrochemical technologies enabling power production with various fuel sources such as hydrogen, hydrocarbon and even solid carbon. However, its long-term performance is often unstable and unpredictable. In this work, we observed that gasification-driven hydrocarbons were the culprit of unpredictability. Therefore, we controlled the presence of hydrocarbons with the help of external gas supply, i.e. argon and carbon dioxide, and suggested the optimal amount of carbon dioxide required for predictable fuel cell operations. Our optimization strategy was based upon the following observations; carbon dioxide can work as both an inert gas and a fuel precursor, depending on its amount present in the reactor. When deficient, the carbon dioxide cannot fully promote the reverse Boudouard reaction that produces carbon monoxide fuel. When overly present, the carbon dioxide works as an inert gas that causes fuel loss. In addition, the excessive carbon monoxide may result in coking on the catalyst surface, leading to the decrease in the power performance.
The effect of exogenous phosphate supply on the regulation of phosphate metabolism was investegated during catabolic repression and catabolic derepression in yeast (Saccharomyces uvarum). As the results, when sugar was supplimented in cells cultivated under phosphate free, the growith rate was low but it was capable of cell division. Polyphosphate "B" was accumulated highly in proportion to amount of phosphate added to the medium. Without regard to phosphate supply of the medium, the total amount of polyphospgate was almost similar, although each polyphosphate was turned over. Activities of all phosphatases remained continuousoy high in the cells cultivated in the phosphate free medium. Especially under catabolic repression, the function of polyphosphate system was shown to compensate the ATP/ADP system as phosphate donor, energy source and regulator.

Objective: Effects of nitrogen supplementation associated with different levels of starch on voluntary intake, digestibility, and rumen and metabolic characteristics of cattle fed low-quality tropical forage (Brachiaria decumbens hay, 7.4% crude protein, CP) were evaluated using ruminal and abomasal cannulated steers. Methods: Five European${\times}$Zebu young bulls (186 kg body weight, BW) were distributed according to a $5{\times}5$ Latin square. The following treatments were evaluated: control, supplementation with 300 g CP/d (0:1), supplementation with 300 g starch/d and 300 g CP/d (1:1), supplementation with 600 g starch/d and 300 g CP/d (2:1), and supplementation with 900 g starch/d and 300 g CP/d (3:1). A mixture of nitrogenous compounds provided 1/3 from true protein (casein) and 2/3 from non-protein nitrogen (mixture of urea and ammonium sulphate, 9:1) was used as the nitrogen supplement. In order to supply energy a unique source of corn starch was used. Results: Supplements increased (p<0.05) dry matter intake, but did not affect (p>0.05) forage intake. There was a cubic effect (p<0.05) of starch on voluntary intake. This was attributed to the highest forage intake (g/kg BW) when using the 2:1 starch:CP ratio. Supplements increased (p<0.05) organic matter (OM) digestibility, but did not affect (p>0.05) neutral detergent fibre corrected for ash and protein (NDFap) digestibility. There was a positive linear effect (p<0.05) of the amount of starch supplemented on OM digestibility. Total NDFap digestibility was not affected (p>0.05) by the amount of supplemental starch. Ruminal ammonia nitrogen concentrations were higher (p<0.05) in supplemented animals, however, a negative linear effect (p<0.05) of amount of starch was observed. Supplements increased (p<0.05) the nitrogen balance (NB) and efficiency of nitrogen utilization. These effects were attributed to increased body anabolism, supported by higher (p<0.05) serum concentration of insulin-like growth factor 1. Increasing the amount of starch tended (p<0.06) to linearly increase the NB. In spite of this, there was a highest NB value for the 2:1 starch:CP ratio amongst the treatments with supplementation. Conclusion: Nitrogen supplementation in cattle fed low-quality tropical forage increases nitrogen retention in the animal's body. An additional supply of starch increases nitrogen retention by increasing energy availability for both rumen and animal metabolism.
In this paper, a groundwater hydrological study of the Gyeongju well during the Silla period is conducted to investigate how sufficiently the Gyeongju well supplied water demand at the time. It is assumed that the current geology and soil condition in Gyeongju remain similar to the Silla period. Also, the land use and land coverage during the Silla period is estimated based on the current land condition in Gyeongju. Precipitation during the Silla period is analyzed using precipitation data from 1984 to 2014 provided by Gyeonju weather station. Precipitation analysis is applied based on 3 different scenarios; precipitation intensity during the Silla period was Case (1) the same as, Case (2) 30% more, and Case (3) 30% less than the precipitation intensity of the last decade (2005~2014). Furthermore, to observe the use of the well in Gyeongju during droughts, the following condition(Case (4)) is also considered; ten year drought during the Silla period was the same as the ten year drought from 1984 to 2014. Available amount of groundwater development is analyzed using NRCS-CN method. The results show that the potential amount of groundwater in Gyeongju during Silla era was for Case (1) $62,825,272m^3/year$, Case (2) $93,606,567m^3/year$, Case (3) $32,277,298m^3/year$, and Case (4)$32,870,896m^3/year$. Also, it has been shown that $45,260,000m^3$ of groundwater were required to supply to all households in Gyeongju during Silla era. Therefore, if the precipitation intensity during Silla era was similar with the last decade, the groundwater would provide enough supply to all households in Gyeongju. However, in the case that the precipitation intensity during Silla era was 30% less than the last decade or a ten year drought happened, it is predicted that the water use in Gyeongju would have been limited.
This study is to research the changing trends in the trading goods and the cause of the change in the early Chosun dynasty and to find out the influence that the export goods had on the Chosun society. This research demonstrated the costume culture of the early Chosun was affected by the trading trends. The export items of Chosun showed differences in chronological order. They changed from hemp cloth to cotton cloth. The cause of such change in the export items was due to the change in the amount of demand and supply, to products of Chosun. and to social factors. Looking at the amount and items of the export goods to Japan, the amount was huge and the number of trade was a lot. There were several influences that the exporting cotton cloth to Japan had on Chosun's costume culture. First, the export caused the growth of cotton industry through the reinforcement policy. Next, it made the amount of national deposit of cotton cloth exhausted as a result of the increase in the amount of the exporting cotton. It also made worse the dual distribution structure of cotton cloth and the leaning toward bad cotton cloth. And in consequence of the connection between rich merchants and politicians, these social phenomena became worse and worse. And these facts demonstrate that the costume culture of the early Chosun dynasty was affected by the trade between Chosun and Japan. Therefore, to better understand the costume culture of the early Chosun dynasty, I propose to consider the consequences resulted from the trade with Japan.
The lack of water resources is becoming a serious issue throughout the world. The water shortage in Korea is expected to increase dramatically through 2020. The amount of water shortage could amount to 1.8 and 2.6 billion cubic meters in 2011 and 2020, respectively. Groundwater can be a solution to this matter in some places. Especially, underground dams are known to be advantageous over conventional dams, evert if they have some drawbacks such as their limited location for development and small sizes. The analytic hierarchy process(AHP) is an analytical tool, supported by simple mathematics, which enables one to explicitly rank tangible and intangible factors against each other for the purpose of resolving conflicts or setting priorities. In order to check the applicability of AHP to the evaluation of underground dam sites, lour candidate locations were chosen. They have suffered from problems like water-supply shortage and delayed dam construction. The analysis results are compared with those of the previous study using a conventional method. It is believed that the developed method can provide central or local government with a basis for reasonable decision-making regarding underground dam development.

This study analyzes the quantitaive effect of 155M artillery ammunition procurement from third party countries in the wartime using simulation. First, we study the concept of ammunition supply, procurement plan, transportation plan in the wartime and logistics support from third party countries. We then study the ammunition support possibility from third party countries. Secondly, we make a basic model on the sea-lift from Korea to U.S in the wartime using simulation followed by making comparative models on the sea-lift from Korea to U.S and third party countries. Finally, we analyze models on the completion date of ammunition transportation and the ammunition amount of each operation step. We then execute the sensitivity analysis on the ammunition amount from third party countries. In cocclusion, ammunition prcurement from third party countreis more supply 10% than basic model.
