The effects of ammonia-treated graphene oxide (GO) on composites based on epoxy resin were investigated. Ammonia solutions of different concentrations (14-28%) were used to modify GO. Nitrogen functional groups were introduced on the GO surfaces without significant structural changes. The ammonia-treated GO-based epoxy composites exhibited interesting changes in their mechanical properties related to the presence of nitrogen functional groups, particularly amine ($C-NH_2$) groups on the GO surfaces. The highest tensile and impact strength values were 42.1 MPa and 12.3 J/m, respectively, which were observed in an epoxy composite prepared with GO treated with a 28% ammonia solution. This improved tensile strength was 2.2 and 1.3 times higher than those of the neat epoxy and the non-treated GO-based epoxy composite, respectively. The amine groups on the GO ensure its participation in the cross-linking reaction of the epoxy resin under amine curing agent condition and enhance its interfacial bonding with the epoxy resin.
Nicotinamide Complex Compound was not formed in simple alkaline solution under two to one molar ratio of dimethyglyoxime and Fe (II), but it was formed with ammonia or pyridine under the same molar ratio. Based on this fact, nicotinamide solution was added into dimethyglyoxime-Fe (II) complex solution, and the chelation product was extracted with chloroform. The extraction was Completed in a range of pH 8.4-11.0. The chloroform solution shows stability and maximum absorption at 516 m${\mu}$.
An Experimental study was carried out to develop a simple method of processing copper waste sludge which is produced by PBC manufacturing. The procedure is based on leaching of wet sludge in 2N H$_2$SO$_4$, and the solid / liquid ratio is controlled approximately at 1/10. The recovery of copper is 85.4%, and pH of the leachate is 3.20. Adding ammonia solution into leachate forms ammine, and hydroxide compounds derived from other impurities in leachate at pH 10. The hydroxide compound can be treated by ferrite process, and the product is a stable oxide compound. Then the ammine solution is heated to evaporate ammonia, and the copper hydroxide is formed. Heating at 8$0^{\circ}C$by aeration, copper hydroxide is transformed into copper oxide with a purity of 98.4%. This process can recover most copper from sludge and the residue can be stabilized by the formation of a stable oxide compound which is not hazardous to environment.

This experiment was conducted to examine the effects on the composition and rumen degradation in sacco of rice straw treated with animal urine (1 l of 2.9 g N/kg DM straw) and urea plus calcium hydroxide (2% urea plus 0.5% $Ca(OH)_2$/kg DM straw) as a cheap and relatively safe alternative for ammonia (3% ammonia solution/kg DM straw). Mold occurred in urine treated straw, but other treatments were apparently mold-free. All treatments significantly (p<0.05) increased CP content in the straw compared with untreated one. Ammonia-treated straw contained CP at about twice that in urine or urea-calcium hydroxide treated straw. NDF and hemicellulose contents decreased significantly (p<0.05) in all treatments, while ADF and cellulose showed no differences compared with untreated straw. The degradable fraction of DM, CP, NDF, hemicellulose and cellulose was significantly (p<0.05) increased for ammonia and urea-calcium hydroxide treatments than for urine treated or untreated straw except for CP of urine treated straw. Chemical treatment of rice straw increased the readily degradable fraction of CP, while it decreased the slowly degradable fraction for urine or urea-calcium hydroxide treated rice straw. The degradation rate of hemicellulose was significantly (p<0.05) increased for ammonia and urea-calcium hydroxide treatments compared to urine treated or untreated straw. However, no effect on cellulose degradation rate was found by any of the treatments. There was no improvement in the degradation kinetics caused by the urine treatment despite the improvement of the chemical composition. Although the improvement in rumen degradability was less in the urea-calcium hydroxide treatment than in the ammonia treatment, its use may be more desirable because it is less expensive to obtain, less hazardous nature, and readily available. For further improvement it is necessary to investigate the supplementation of slowly degradable nitrogen to ureacalcium hydroxide treated rice straw diet.
The feasibility of producing sulfuric acid and ammonia water from ammonium sulfate was investigated by an integrated process including ammonia stripping (AS) and electrodialysis with bipolar membrane (EDBM). It was suggested that the production of sulfuric acid using ammonia stripping-electrodialysis with bipolar membrane (ASEDBM) was effective in obtaining high concentration of sulfuric acid compared with EDBM alone. AS was carried out over pH 11 and within the range of temperatures, $20^{\circ}C{\~}60^{\circ}C$. Sodium sulfate obtained using AS was used as the feed solution of EDBM. The recovery of ammonia increased from $40\%$ to $80\%$ at $60^{\circ}C$ due to the increased mobility of ammonium ion. A pilot-scale EDBM system, which is composed of two compartments and 10 cell pairs with an effective membrane area of $200 cm^2$ per cell, was used for the recovery of sulfuric acid. The performance was examined in the range of 0.1 M${\~}$1.0 M concentration of concentrate compartment and of $25 mA/cm^2{\~}62.5 mA/cm^2$ of current density. The maximum current efficiency of $64.9\%$ was obtained at 0.1 M sulfuric acid because the diffusion rate at the anion exchange membrane decreased as the sulfuric acid of the concentrate compartment decreased. It was possible to obtain the 2.5 M of sulfuric acid in the $62.5 mA/cm^2$ with a power consumption of 13.0 kWh/ton, while the concentration of sulfuric acid was proportional to the current density below the limiting current density (LCD). Thus, the integrating process of AS-EDBM enables to recover sulfuric acid from the wastewaters containing ammonium sulfate.
New visible and fast assay system have been developed for tobacco transformant introduced with adenosine deaminase (ADA) marker gene, which converts cytotoxic adenosine analogues to non-toxic inosine analogues and ammonia. Ammonia was changed to blue color in the solution of phenol-nitoprusside and alkaline-hypochlorite. It was possible to detect activity of ADA visibly on the holes of 96 well plate using tiny explant of transgenic tobacco leaves within 1 hour incubation time. As substrates of ADA enzyme from transgenic plant on the plate, a number of adenosine analogues such as 9-D-arabinofuranosyl adenine, cordycepin, 2'-deoxyadenosine, adenosine and xylofuranosyl adenine were possible for detection of ADA activity. Optimal condition of substrate for ADA enzyme was each 10 mM and pH 7.5 in adenosine solution. Especially, transgenic plant did not convert adenosine to inosine and ammonia in the presence of ADA inhibitor deoxycoformycin, which means that ammonia produced from transgenic plant is due to expression of ADA gene. Now, we show that this detection system can be easily, sensitively, fast and cheaply as well as visibly assayed in vitro as GUS gene system with very small size of transformant explant.
An absorber is a major component in the absorption refrigeration systems and its performance greatly affects the overall system performance. In this study, experimental analyses on heat transfer characteristics for removal of absorption heat in ammonia-water bubble mode absorber were performed. Heat transfer coefficients were estimated as the variations of input gas flow rate, solution flow rate, temperature, concentration, absorber diameter and height, and input flow direction. The increase of gas and solution flow rate affects positively in heat transfer. However, the increase of solution temperature and concentration affects negatively. Moreover, under the same Reynolds Numbers, countercurrent flow is superior to cocurrent flow in heat transfer performance. In addition, from these experimental data, empirical correlations which can explain easily the characteristics of heat transfer are derived.
It disposes positively in the air pollution damage which is serious, in order help period the place where it improves the quality of existence and life of the local residents. It removed the offensive odor regulation material and the technique it will be able to prevent to sleep it researched it did. After scattering the GNC solution which develops the offensive odor regulation material which occurs from the food and trash treatment plant which is located to the S from the H, company after scattering the GNC solution which it develops collection it did a control criminal record control kind air and it analyzed. In this study, we investigated the emission concentrations of offensive odorous compounds of hydrogen sulfide, methyl mercaptan, dimethyl sulfide and dimethyl disulfide, trimethylamine, formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, propionaldehyde, buthylaldehyde, iso-valeric aldehyde, n-valeric aldehyde, ammonia. The concentrations of odorous compounds are determined by gas chromatography, HPLC and uv-vis spectroscopy. Hydrogen sulfide, methyl mercaptan, dimethyl sulfide and dimethyl disulfide were not detected at any point examined.
A study on the characteristics of ammonia desorption from aqueous solutions has been performed by air stripping as the first stage of ammonia recycling for the preparation of ammonium sulfate from it. For air stripping experiments, a stripping column made with acrylic tube of 40 mm diameter was employed and compressed air was injected into solutions through air sparger equipped at the bottom of stripping column. As a result of experiments, the stripping efficiency was increased with the aqueous pH and it was found that the appropriate pH for air stripping of ammonia was between pH 10 and 12. As far as the effect of air flow rate on ammonia stripping was concerned, ammonia stripping was not proportional to the air flow rate although it was affected by the air flow rate to some extent. Moreover, when more than 20 cm of water height was maintained, total ammonia desorbed from solution was not varied with the water height. Stripping temperature was also found to play an important role in ammonia desorption and about 90fo of initial ammonia was desorbed in 14 hours at pH 12.8 and at $60^{\circ}C$ Finally, it was believed that stripping temperature as well as the aqueous pH was one of the most important factors in air stripping of ammonia.
