역할스트레스와 개인 창의성 간의 관계에 대한 실증연구: 창의적 자아효능감과 자기주도성의 매개역할 (An Empirical Study on the Relationship between Role Stress and Personal Creativity: The Mediating Roles of Creative Self-Efficacy and Personal Initiative)

  • Personal creativity is critically important for organizations seeking to survive and thrive in today's highly turbulent business environments. Organizations must effectively identify and mobilize the creative resources of their members. When organizational members perceive a work environment that restricts or fails to encourage individual creative expression, a gap may exist between the level of individual creative potential and the actual amount of individual creativity practiced within the organization. In this situation, this paper will examine the impact of role conflict, role ambiguity, creative self-efficacy, and personal initiative on personal creativity. Creative self-efficacy is the subjective belief in one's personal ability to be creative, that is, a personal assessment of one's own creative potential. A strong internal belief in one's ability to successfully engage in creative behaviors is generally considered an important part of the creative process. Personal Initiative refers to behaviors, mainly directed toward work and organizational issues, that are characterized by the following aspects: self-starting, proactive, and persistent in overcoming barriers. Creativity-related creative self-efficacy and personal initiative are critical components to understand motivation that coordinates the relationship between perception and behavior of individual employees. Based on role theory, researchers have focused on role conflict and role ambiguity as the two key ingredients of role stress. Role ambiguity is defined as an evaluation about the lack of salient information needed to perform a role effectively. Role conflict results from two or more sets of incompatible demands involving work-related issues. Employees are usually pursued work-roles more than one in work-focused organization. Too many work-roles and perceived uncertainties at employee's work can be obstacles to personal creativity. In an analysis of results, while role conflict is not negatively related significantly to creative self-efficacy, role ambiguity is negatively related significantly to creative self-efficacy. While role conflict is significantly related to personal creativity, role ambiguity is negatively related significantly to personal creativity. Creative self-efficacy mediates the relationship among role conflict, role ambiguity, and employee creativity. Personal initiative mediates the relationship between creative self-efficacy and employee creativity. This paper shows that creative self-efficacy and personal initiative are the driving force behind personal creativity. Organizations can get some implications of creative-related role conflict and role ambiguity that employees have experienced. As a result, organizations must not only encourage creativity of employees by greater involvement but also encourage their input towards their-focused own works and tasks. And employees should be developed to pace with the organizational needs and development. Management must enable employees to think of new ideas and practices that promotes personal creativity.

영업사원의 거래처 수와 영업성과 간의 관계에 관한 연구 (The Link between Number of Sales Accounts and Salespeople's Performance)

  • Purpose - Previous research has shown that a very high level and a very low level of job scope can both be more stressful than intermediate levels of job scope. This study investigates the potential positive and negative effects of the number of accounts handled by sales personnel. The primary objective of this paper is to examine how the number of accounts salespeople handle affects their stress and performance. Research design, data, and methodology - This research conducted the data collection using a survey of salespeople in the pharmaceutical industry. I sent the survey to 420 salespeople, and received 318 usable responses. To assess measurement reliability and validity, I ran an exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis. I also employed structural equation modeling (SEM) to test all hypothesized effects in AMOS and also measured the interaction variable using Ping's (1996) approach. Results - These results show that there are linear and non-linear effects of the number of accounts handled by the salesperson on both role ambiguity and role conflict. First, the number of accounts handled by a salesperson is positively related to role ambiguity and role conflict. Second, the effect of the number of accounts handled on role ambiguity and role conflict decreases as the number of accounts handled by the salesperson increases. Third, as accounts increase from a low level, role stress increases; when the number of accounts reaches an optimal level, role stress decreases; and when the number of accounts increases to a high level, it can be detrimental to the salesperson's role stress. Fourth, while product complexity is positively related to role ambiguity, brand strength is negatively related to both role ambiguity and role conflict. Fifth, the greater the brand strength, the weaker the relationship will be between the number of accounts handled and salesperson role ambiguity. Finally, role ambiguity is positively related to salesperson performance. Conclusion - Too much and too little accounts increase the role ambiguity and role conflict of salespersons. Managers should identify the complex effect of the number of accounts handled by salespeople. Also, when products are complex, managers should provide training to eliminate any complex processes and complex information. These results suggest ways to decrease salespersons' role stress by ensuring an optimal level of the number of accounts and brand strength.

An Ambiguity View of Specificity

  • In this paper I review previous analyses of specific indefinites, and propose a new analysis. The main claim is that a specific indefinite presupposes that an agent, a speaker in general, has in mind an individual which satisfies the descriptive content. I provide evidence for the ambiguity view of specificity. First, I show that a specific indefinite triggers a pre- supposition. Second, I show that a specific indefinite is a strong quantifier while a nonspecific is a weak one. Finally, I discuss different behaviors of specific and nonspecific indefinites in anaphora.

  • 초음파를 이용한 거리 및 속도측정에서는 PRF(Pulse Repitition Frequency) 선정에 따른 거리 및 속도 모호성 문제가 큰 장애 요인 중의 하나이다. 따라서 이러한 장애 극복을 위한 신호파형 발생시 PRF 선정 방법과 측정 결과에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다.

인터넷 쇼핑환경에서의 소비자 혼란과 쇼핑 피로감이 부정적 구매행동에 미치는 영향 (Consumer confusion, shopping fatigue, and negative purchasing behavior in internet shopping environment)

  • This study analyzed the effects of consumer confusion on shopping fatigue and negative purchasing behaviors in an internet shopping environment. Further, the effects of shopping fatigue on negative purchasing behaviors were analyzed. The survey was conducted among consumers in their 20s and 40s in the Seoul metropolitan area who had experience of purchasing fashion products through internet shopping. A total of 392 questionnaire were analysis, with frequency, reliability, factor, correlation, and regression analysis completed using the SPSS statistics program. The results of the study showed that consumer confusion and shopping fatigue in internet shopping environment affected negative purchasing behaviors. First, consumer confusion comprised overload confusion, similarity confusion, and ambiguity confusion. It was found that overload confusion and similarity confusion significantly affected shopping fatigue. Second, shopping fatigue significantly affected negative purchasing behaviors, and an increased level of shopping fatigue result in, increased purchase delay and non-purchase behavior. Third, consumer confusion (overload confusion, similarity confusion, ambiguity confusion) significantly affected purchase delay behavior, while similarity confusion and ambiguity confusion significantly affected non-purchasing behavior. These results will provide useful data for e-CRM and marketing directions of internet companies and will contribute to rational decision-making of internet consumers and improve the quality of consumer life.

의료종사자의 역할갈등, 모호성, 직무만족이 고객지향성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of the Role Conflict, Ambiguity, and Job Satisfaction of the Health Professionals to Their Customer Orientation)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 의료종사자의 역할갈등과 역할모호성, 직무만족이 고객지향성에 영향이 있는지를 알아보기 위하여 부산광역시 D병원에 재직 중인 의료종사자 대상으로 설문을 받은 후 불성실한 설문지 4부를 제외하고 최종적으로 250부의 설문지를 통계처리하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 연구가설의 검증을 위하여 고객지향성에 대한 전반적인 평균값을 종속변수로 하고, 역할갈등, 역할모호성, 직무만족의 요인값을 독립변수로 해서 다중회귀분석을 실시한 결과 회귀식의 설명력은 18%로 나타났으며, 회귀식은 통계적으로 0.001수준에서 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 의료종사자의 고객지향성을 보다 면밀하게 분석하기 위하여 직무만족의 요인값을 독립변수로 해서 추가적으로 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 다중회귀분석 결과는 전체 회귀식의 설명력이 8%이며, 회귀식은 통계적으로 0.001수준에서 유의미하며(F: 6.908, BETA: 0.281, t: 3.880), 둘째 차원인 공감성과의 다중회귀분석 결과는 전체 회귀식의 설명력이 12%이며, 회귀식은 통계적으로 0.001수준에서 유의미하며(F: 10.741, BETA: 0.272, t: 3.835), 셋째 차원인 유형성과의 다중회귀분석 결과는 전체 회귀식의 설명력이 12%이며, 회귀식은 통계적으로 0.001수준에서 유의한 것으로 나타났으며(F: 11.100, BETA: 0.228, t: 3.226,), 넷째 차원인 신뢰성과의 다중회귀분석 결과는 전체 회귀식의 설명력은 20%이며, 회귀식은 통계적으로 0.001수준에서 유의한 것으로 나타나(F: 20.554, BETA: 0.401, t: 5.949) 전반적으로 의료종사자의 역할 모호성이 고객지향적 응대성, 공감성, 유형성, 신뢰성에 영향을 미치고 있는 것으로 나타났다.

시각자극의 모호함과 아이디어 교류의 유무에 따른 디자인 아이디어의 창의성 예측 (The Creativity Forecasting of Design Idea Sketches According to the Ambiguity of Visual Stimuli and Idea-Sharing Situations)

  • 제시되는 시각 자극의 모호함에 따라 디자인 아이디어의 창의성이 어떻게 달라지는지 알아보기 위해 시각자극의 모호함의 세 가지 수준 (Vague, Ambiguous, Definite) 과 아이디어 교류 유무(Idea sharing Before & After)의 두 가지 수준으로 아이디어 스케치들을 구분하여 의사결정나무분석법을 시행하였다. 그리고 이를 통해 각 그룹의 아이디어 스케치의 창의성 예측점수와 그 예측점수에 영향을 끼친 변인은 무엇인지 그리고 그 기준은 어떠한지 살펴보았다. 분석 결과, 시각 자극의 모호함과 아이디어 교류의 유무에 따라 아이디어 스케치의 창의성 예측 점수가 높은 경우에 있어 중요한 영향을 미친 예측변수들은 종결저항, 독창성, 정교성, 추상성, 컨셉쌍 간의 유사도로 나타났다. 즉, 이 5가지 변수들은 유창성과 개념결합전략, 새 개념의 등장여부, 개인 창의력 지수, 창의적 문제해결성향보다 디자인 아이디어 스케치의 창의성에 더 연관이 있는 요인들임을 알 수 있었다. 그리고 아이디어 교류 후, Vague 자극을 제시 받은 집단이 창의성 예측값이 가장 높게 나타났고, 아이디어 교류 후, Definite 자극을 제시 받은 집단이 창의성 예측값이 가장 낮게 나타났다.

양방향 LSTM을 적용한 단어의미 중의성 해소 감정분석 (Emotion Analysis Using a Bidirectional LSTM for Word Sense Disambiguation)

  • 어휘적 중의성이란 동음이의어, 다의어와 같이 단어를 2개 이상의 의미로 해석할 수 있는 경우를 의미하며, 감정을 나타내는 어휘에서도 어휘적 중의성을 띄는 경우가 다수 존재한다. 이러한 어휘들은 인간의 심리를 투영한다는 점에서 구체적이고, 풍부한 맥락을 전달하는 특징이 있다. 본 연구에서는 양방향 LSTM을 적용하여 중의성을 해소한 감정 분류 모델을 제안한다. 주변 문맥의 정보를 충분히 반영한다면, 어휘적 중의성 문제를 해결하고, 문장이 나타내려는 감정을 하나로 압축할 수 있다는 가정을 기반으로 한다. 양방향 LSTM은 문맥 정보를 필요로 하는 자연어 처리 연구 분야에서 자주 활용되는 알고리즘으로 본 연구에서도 문맥을 학습하기 위해 활용하고자 한다. GloVe 임베딩을 본 연구 모델의 임베딩 층으로 사용했으며, LSTM, RNN 알고리즘을 적용한 모델과 비교하여 본 연구 모델의 성능을 확인하였다. 이러한 프레임워크는 SNS 사용자들의 감정을 소비 욕구로 연결시킬 수 있는 마케팅 등 다양한 분야에 기여할 수 있을 것이다.

An Analysis of Semantic Errors in Machine-Translated English Compositions by Korean EFL College Students

  • The purpose of this research is to investigate the types of semantic errors made by MT in translating EFL college students' original drafts written in Korean into English. Specifically, this study attempts to find out 1) what types of semantic errors are most frequently committed by MT? and 2) how students feel about the quality of the MT-produced output? The findings from this study indicated that MT produced the errors related to accuracy (47%) the most, followed by the errors related to fluency and ambiguity (14.6% respectively). Students were well aware of the errors with accuracy and fluency but had limited ability to check the errors with ambiguity. Based on the findings, this study suggests pedagogical implications which can be implemented in L2 writing classrooms.

Semantic Feature Analysis for Multi-Label Text Classification on Topics of the Al-Quran Verses

  • Nowadays, Islamic content is widely used in research, including Hadith and the Al-Quran. Both are mostly used in the field of natural language processing, especially in text classification research. One of the difficulties in learning the Al-Quran is ambiguity, while the Al-Quran is used as the main source of Islamic law and the life guidance of a Muslim in the world. This research was proposed to relieve people in learning the Al-Quran. We proposed a word embedding feature-based on Tensor Space Model as feature extraction, which is used to reduce the ambiguity. Based on the experiment results and the analysis, we prove that the proposed method yields the best performance with the Hamming loss 0.10317.
