샌드위치형 복합재 하이브리드 차체의 경제성 분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Economic Feasibility of Hybrid Bodyshell Made of Sandwich Composite Plate)

  • 허니컴 샌드위치 복합재는 가볍고 강하며, 제작하기가 편리한 장점이 있어 철도차량 차체에 적용되기 시작하였다. 보통 중량감소량은 27%에 달하나, 재료비가 알루미늄 압출재에 비해 높기 때문에 차체에 널리 적용되지 못하였다. 본 논문에서는 두 가지 경량화 재질에 대하여 제작 과정을 고찰하고 원가를 분류하여 과거 자료를 기초로한 경제성을 분석하였다. 복합재 차체의 재료비 상승분을 제작의 용이성으로 상쇄할 수 있으며, 대량생산에 따른 장비비를 저감하면 알루미늄 차체에 비해 경쟁력을 가질 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. 지하철 노선의 통계자료를 참고로 하여 중량 감소에 따른 운행 에너지 감소량도 제시하였다.

금형 냉각과 압출 속도가 7075 합금 압출에 미치는 영향에 대한 현상학적 분석 (Phenomenological Analysis of the Effects of Die Cooling and Extrusion Speed on the Extrusion of 7075 alloy)

  • The extrusion experiments using the 7075 aluminum billet have been performed to investigate the effects of die cooling and ram speed on the occurrence of surface defects on the extrudate. The purpose of die cooling was to suppress overheating of the extrudate at the moment of extrusion. In the present die cooling system, liquid nitrogen has been injected in to the die and sprayed to the surface of extrudate. Ram speed was either kept or varied in the range of 1.1~1.7 mm/sec. throughout one extrusion shot to check the occurrence of surface defects. Every extrusion started at a ram speed of 1.25 mm/sec. The temperature of extrudate was measured using a laser thermometer. The 7075 billet of 180 mm in diameter and 550 mm in length was preheated at 390℃ and extruded to get a single plate of 8000 mm in length, 150 mm in width and 10 mm in thickness. Each extrudate was checked by eye to find the surface defects. The microstructures were obtained in the specimen cut from each corner of the extrudate using the EBSD micrographs.

  • 최근 스마트 폰, 모바일 PC 제품의 외관에 필요한 가벼운 금속제품으로 제조를 하기 위하여 알루미늄 압출 공정과 CNC 가공기법을 적용한 생산방식이 널리 사용되고 있다. 하지만, 알루미늄 압출법은 외관 디자인의 제약이 있으며, 특히 CNC 가공 프로세스가 상대적으로 높은 생산 비용 및 낮은 생산성으로 생산단가가 많이 높은 단점이 있다. 본 연구에서, 새로운 처리 방법을 순서 재료비를 대폭 감소시키고, 제조 속도를 향상시키기 위해 판재성형과 부피성형의 두가지 공정을 섞어 새로운 판단조 공정을 개발하였다. 새로운 판단조 공법(hybrid plate forging)이란 우선 일반적인 딥드로잉으로 중간 모양을 만든 후 원하는 벽 부위만 증육을 하는 방법을 의미한다. 이러한 판단조 공법을 활용하여 재료의 낭비와 제조 시간을 최소화하는 것이 가능하게 된다. 본 연구에서는 상용 유한 요소 프로그램 AFDEX-2D를 통해 판단조공정을 설계하였고 최적의 사용 가능한 소재의 두께와 초기 폭을 설계하였다. 최종적으로 실제 노트북 케이스 금형을 제작하여 제안한 방법의 타당성을 검증하였다.

7075 합금의 압출에서 원소재 빌렛과 압출재의 열처리에 따른 미세조직 및 기계적 특성 분석 (Analysis of Microstructures and Mechanical Properties of Billet and Extrudate according to Heat Treatment for the Extrusion of 7075 alloy)

  • Heating experiments using the 7075 aluminum alloy in the state of billet and extrudate have been performed to investigate the pertinent ranges of working temperatures and holding times for the application to the various automobile parts. The 7075 specimens from raw billet of 152 mm in diameter and 400 mm in length prior to extrusion were used for heating with a holding time of 10 minutes at temperatures between 380℃ and 550℃. Then, an extrusion process using the billet has been fulfilled at 380℃ with extrusion speed of 0.8 mm/min to get an plate-type extrudate of 75 mm in width and 4.2 mm in thickness. The samples from the extrudate were subjected to heating experiments at temperatures between 380℃ and 440℃ with holding times such as 10 min, 30 min, 60 min and 120 min at each heating temperature. The microstructures were investigated on the optical and EBSD micrographs. The hardness measurement and the tensile test have been performed to investigate the effect of the heat treatment on the mechanical property. The results showed for the 7075 extrusion process that the safe heating of billet can be performed below 450℃ and the extrusion can be done safely up to 400℃.

동도금 EP방열판에 의한 소형LED조명등 방열 (Heat Radiation of LED Light using eu Plating Engineering Plastic Heat Sink)

  • Recently, the electronic parts are to be thinner plate, smaller size, light weight material and CPU, HDD and DRAM in all the parts have been produced on the basis of the high speed and greater capacity. Also, conventional goods have replaced a LED (Light-Emitting Diode) in lighting products so; such industry devices need to have cooling. To maximize all the performance on the heat-radiated products, the area of heat-radiated parts is required to be cooled for keeping the life time extension and performance of product up. Existing cooling systems are using radiant heat plate of aluminum, brass by extrusion molding, heat pipe or hydro-cooling system for cooling. There is a limitation for bringing the light weight of product, cost reduction, molding of the cooling system. So it is proposed that an alternative way was made for bringing to the cooling system. EP (Engineering Plastic) of low-cost ABS (Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene Resin) and PC (Polycarbonate) was coated with brass and the coating made the radiated heat go up. The performance of radiant heat plate is the similar to the existing part. We have studied experimentally on the radiated heat plate for the light-weight, molding improvement and low-cost. From now on, we are going to develop the way to replace the exiting plate with exterior surface of product as a cooling system.

직사각형 리튬 이온 전지의 일체형 안전장치 제조 공정에 관한 연구 (Manufacturing Integral Safety Vents in Prismatic Lithium-ion Batteries)

  • A safety vent is crucial to protect its user from unpredictable explosions caused by increasing internal pressure of the lithium-ion batteries. In order to prevent the explosion of the battery, a safety vent rupture is required when the internal pressure reaches a critical value. In conventional manufacturing, the cap plate and the safety vent are fabricated separately and subsequently welded to each other. In the current study, a manufacturing process including a backward extrusion and coining process is suggested to produce an integral safety vent which also has the benefit of increasing production efficiency. FE simulations were conducted to predict the rupture pressure and to design the safety vent using a ductile fracture criterion and the element deletion method. The critical value, C, in the ductile fracture criterion was obtained from uniaxial tensile tests with an annealed sheet of 1050-H14 aluminum alloy. Rupture tests were preformed to measure the rupture pressure of the safety vent. The results met the required rupture pressure within 8.5±0.5 kgf/cm2. The simulation results were compared with experimental results, which showed that the predicted rupture pressures are in good agreement with experimentally measured ones with a maximum error of only 3.9%.

  • High-speed EMU under development vibrates more than a articulated high-speed train since power units are attached on each vehicle and railway vehicle. In this study, anisotropic equivalent stiffness of a aluminum extrusion plate were calculated to know and predict vibration characteristic of High-speed EMU under development. Eigen frequencies and modal shape of high speed train vehicle were calculated. And vibration generated was predicted at each position of vehicle when vehicle was operating.
