Background: The need to develop alternative chemicals is increasing worldwide due to the strengthening of global chemical regulations and consumer safety awareness in the marketplace. Objectives: We aimed to review domestic and foreign technology trends for exploring alternative candidate algorithms that can be used to develop safer alternatives to strengthen global market competitiveness and protect public health in the future. Methods: We searched the current status of research trends, companies related to the development of alternative chemicals in domestic and foreign countries. For this, we referred to research papers and websites by companies and institutes related to such alternatives. Results: Among the domestic and foreign research trends, more studies in South Korea were focused on predicting molecular-based physicochemical properties and toxicity than were reporting on research exploring alternative candidates. Three web-based databases and six tools were being developed. More studies in other countries predicted information to consider in alternative development than reported on research exploring alternative candidates, and four web-based databases and three tools were being developed. Among the companies related to the development of alternative chemicals, 286 alternatives classified as 'EVALUATED ALTERNATIVE' in MARKETPLACE accounted for the most significant proportion in Europe on a continent basis, and the largest number in the United States (US) on a national basis. In South Korea, only significant companies were registered. Conclusions: In this study, it was found to be necessary to provide public technology support platforms to explore alternative candidates considering various aspects in order to support alternative development. In conclusion, exploring alternative candidate algorithms could contribute to the response to the global trends in the chemical industry and to supporting companies and researchers developing safer alternatives in the future.

N-terminal kinase-like (NTKL) protein was initially identified as a protein binding to protein kinase B (PKB, also known as Akt). Though NTKL-BP1 (NTKL-binding protein 1) has been identified as an NTKL binding protein, its functions related to binding have not yet been elucidated. Here, a new alternative spliced variant of NTKL and its association with integrin ${\beta}1$ is described, in addition to the kinase activity of NTKL and its substrate candidates. Although the phosphorylation of the candidates must be further confirmed using other experimental methods, the observation that NTKL can phosphorylate ROCK1, DYRK3, and MST1 indicates that NTKL may act as a signaling protein to regulate actin assembly, cell migration, cell growth, and to facilitate differentiation and development in an integrin-associated manner.

본 연구는 마리나 건설 최적의 대상지를 결정하기 위하여 여러 가능해역 중에서 최적의 장소를 결정하는 것이다. 마리나 건설 후보지 선정 문제를 다루기 위해서 여수시 인근의 10개의 후보지를 대상으로 10개의 결정 요인들을 분석하여 최적의 장소를 선정한다. 본 논문에서는 가장 합리적인 장소를 결정하기 위하여 새로운 모델인 0-1정수 최적계획모형이 제안된다. 제안된 모형은 지금까지 최적 마리나 시설 분석 문제에 적용된 사례가 없다. 본 논문은 가장 합리적인 장소를 결정하는데 기여할 뿐만 아니라 제안된 모형은 타 지역의 마리나 시설 건설 후보지 선정 문제에도 적용할 수 있다.

특허 정보 검색은 연구 및 기술 개발에 앞서 선행연구의 존재 여부를 확인하기 위한 사전 조사 목적으로 주로 사용된다. 이러한 특히 정보 검색에서 원하는 정보를 얻지 못하는 원인은 다양하다. 그 중에서 본 연구는 키워드 불일치에 의한 정보 누락을 최소화하기 위한 대체어 후보 추출 방법을 제안한다. 본 연구에서 제안하는 대체어 후보 추출 방법은 문장 내에서 함께 쓰이는 단어들이 비슷한 두 단어는 서로 비슷한 의미를 지닐 것이다라는 직관적 가설을 전제로 한다. 이와 같은 가설을 만족하는 대체어를 추출하기 위해서 본 연구에서는 분류별 집중도, 신뢰도를 이용한 연관단어뭉치, 연관단어 뭉치간 코사인 유사도 및 순위 보정 기법을 제안한다. 본 연구에서 제안한 대체어 후보 추출 방법의 성능은 대체어 유형별로 작성된 평가지표를 이용하여 재현율을 측정함으로써 평가하였으며, 제안 방법이 문서 벡터공간 모델의 성능보다 더 우수한 것으로 나타났다.

본 연구는 최대의 효과를 달성하기 위하여 정수 계획법을 이용하여 주어진 자연조건하에서 여러 대안 후보 입지 중 최적의 요트 계류장을 결정 하기위한 문제이다. 목포시 인근의 4개의 요트 계류장 후보지 중 최적의 후보지를 선정하기 위하여 21개의 요소들이 각각의 후보지들에 대하여 분석된다. 총 21개 요소들 중 개발 기간과 초기 투자비용은 다음 요소들에 비해서 1.5배의 가중치를 갖는다. 가중치 선형모델 분석 결과 네 곳의 후보지중 평화광장 수역이 가장 합리적인 장소로 선정되었다. 본 논문에서 소개된 모델은 지금까지 요트 계류장 선정 시 적용된 적이 없는 새로운 방법이다. 본 논문은 가장 합리적인 위치를 결정하는데 공헌할 뿐만 아니라 마리나 관련된 다른 분야에도 응용 적용가능하다.

This paper will present an overview of toxicity of hexavalent chromium as well as effort for its replacement by a wide spectrum of alternative materials and technologies. Cr-based materials such as trivalent electrodeposit will be one of strong candidates for hard chromium by surface modification of its surface hardness. Ni-base alloy deposits has proved its application in specific mold for glass. HVOF has been studied in aircraft and military sector. There are still under way of development for commercially available alternatives. To date, no single coating has been identified as universal process as comparable to conventional hard chromium electroplating.

정보 검색에서 원하는 정보를 얻지 못하는 원인은 다양하다. 그 중에서도 표기의 다양성은 검색 시 불일치로 인한 정보 누락을 발생시키는 원인이 된다. 본 논문은 이러한 불일치에 의한 정보 누락을 최소화하기 위하여 검색 대체어 후보를 자동 생성하는 방법을 제안한다. 본 연구에서 제안하는 대체어 후보 자동 생성 방법은 문장 내에서 함께 쓰이는 단어들이 비슷한 두 단어는 서로 비슷한 의미를 지닐 것이다라는 직관적 가설을 전제로 한다. 이와 같은 가설을 기반으로 하여 본 연구에서는 분류별 집중도, 신뢰도를 이용한 연관단어 뭉치, 연관단어 뭉치 간 코사인 유사도 및 신뢰도를 이용한 필터링 기법 등을 이용한 대체어 후보 자동 생성 방법을 제안한다. 본 연구에서 제안한 대체어 후보 자동 생성 방법의 성능은 대체어 유형별로 작성된 평가지표를 이용하여 정확도 및 재현율을 측정함으로써 평가되었으며, 제안 방법이 context window overlapping을 이용한 대체어 추출 방법보다 더 우수한 것으로 나타났다.

This paper presents a probabilistic approach of reliability evaluation and economic assessment for solving transmission network expansion planning problems. Three methods are proposed for TNEP, which are reorganizing the existing power system focused on the buses of interest, selecting candidates using modified system operating state method with healthy, marginal and at-risk states, and finally choosing the optimal alternative using cost-optimization method. TNEP candidates can be selected based on the state reliability such as sufficient and insufficient indices, as proposed in this paper. The process of economic assessment involves the costs of construction, maintenance and operation, congestion, and outage. The case studies are carried out with modified IEEE-24 bus system and Jeju island power system expansion plan in Korea, to verify the proposed methodology.

Oxide semiconductor has been spotlighted as a channel material of TFTs in AMLCD as an alternative to Si, due to high mobility ( > $5cm^2/Vs$). It is also one of the strong candidates for TFTs in AMOLED because of high bias stability at amorphous phase. Beyond the advantages mentioned above, oxide semiconductor has many strengths such as transparency, low fabrication temperature and relatively low fabrication cost. For those reasons, the application of oxide semiconductor is not limited to display but can be extended to new types of electronics, for example, transient electronics for human implantable devices. From this context, oxide materials that have been used as semiconductor and insulator at transient electronics are investigated respectively, and conductor and substrate candidates are also explained, since transient electronics require systematic consideration beyond individual oxide films.

The decision making process for production planning in FMS usually involves multiple conflicting objectives and criteria. This study consists of prescreening and analytical phase. In the prescreening phase, criteria are used to reduce the set of alternative system configuration down to a small number of candidates. After this phase, a multiobjected programming model is formulated for each remainning configuration.
