This paper presents an efficient method for determining the economic dispatch of thermal generator using an alternative Jacobian matrix considering system constraints. The transmission loss is approximately expressed as a funtion of generating powers and the generalized generation factor. From this expression, the Jacobian matrix is formulated and solved by the Newton Raphson Method. In this method, the economic dispatch problem is solved rapidly without calculating the penalty factor. The proposed method has fast convergency characteristic and good accuracy. The feasibility of this method is demonstrated by means of examples.

In this study, cerium nitrate was used as an alternative to chromate for the surface-treatment of Al coated steel to improve the corrosion resistance. The surface of Al coated steel was characterized by means of a X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS). It was found that cerium on the surface of Al coated steel had a mixture of oxidation states such as Ce(+4) and Ce(+3), and the relative concentration of each state was 57 % and 43 %, respectively. The surface film consisting of these cerium compounds played an important role for achieving the corrosion resistance of Al coated steel.

As internet is wide spread, the number of internet service provider is increased. Internet service providers gather the personnel information with inhabitants registration identification number for the user management and the adult authentication. The personnel information is spreaded thorough the Internet by the system hacking, mismanagement and malicious resale. And the personnel information is used for spam email, phishing scams, etc. by malicious others. So the Ministry of Information and Communication Republic of Korea developments I-PIN system of the personnel identification. But, I-PIN has some problem the guideline for it and the method of 5 I-PIN services. In this paper, we analyze the problem about the guideline for I-PIN and the method of 5 I-PIN services. And we propose the countermeasure about the problem.

This study is executed to find out necessities of park & open space management, its policy, its administrational structure, and personnel management. To get objective and basic materials for this study, conscious structure of practical level members in Seoul is analyzed by means of questionnaire sheet and ANOVA analysis. It is important to consider various related factors ; quality upgrading of management of park & open space, improvement of productivity, intensification of user service, and orientation of self administration. As a result, we should restructure the park system and policy in order to enhance recognition toward the necessities of park & open space. And we could suggest regional specialization of district autonomy area as an alternative strategy.

Recently 'Rural Amenity Resources Survey' has been launched to preserve unique and various attributes of rural amenity resources in rural areas. While vast amounts of field data are being collected, there has been insufficient means to share and analyze the data among users. This article addresses crucial issues on why more systematical approaches of building an information system to retrieve and represent information more efficiently. In this work, we have developed an alternative 'Rural Amenity Resources Information System' using Web-GIS and ontology, and later examined its applicability.

A technique of finding both probability density and distribution function for interkilling times is considered and demonstrated. An important result is that any arbitrary interfiring time random variables fit to this study, The interfiring renewal density function given a certain interfiring probability density function can be applied to obtain the corresponding interkilling renewal density function which helps us to estimate the expected number of killing events in a time period. The numerical inversion of Laplace transformation makes these possible and the results appear to be excellent. In case of ammunition supply is limited, an alternative way of getting the probability density function of time to the killing is investigated. The convolution technique may give us a means of settling for this new problem.

Owing to the development of Biotechnology, the involvement of humans in life before birth has been increasing. This means the need for the protection of unborn life takes on new importance. The respect for life and human beings which is based on fundamental constitutional principle should still be respected under civil law. This study examines how methods of respect for life are embodied in civil liability law. In particular, it enunciates the protection of unborn life within time-flow. Lastly, it studies the instruments of the civil liability law and the extent of protection for a fetus from the process of fertilization of an ovum by a sperm, development into an embryo and implantation. Especially, it looks into when and how the subject of the right changes. Besides, it critically scrutinizes the opinions of leading case lawyers and the Constitutional Court which conclude that, in order for a fetus to become the subject of Damage law, it is required to be born alive to comply with precedent. Furthermore, it suggests an alternative interpretation theory.

The objective of this study is to assess the possibility of ozone as an environmentally friendly new deinking alternative for conventional deinking method. It is well known that the white ledger is very difficult to deink because the toner ink has the peculiar shape and size. Ozonization could remove the ink particles above 300 microns and thus improved the ink removal efficiency. Ozonization also improved the WRV of recycled fiber and apparent density, scott bond strength , breaking length, double fold and tear index. Thus, we believe that ozonization could be used as a deinking means of white ledger instead of the convention미 deinking method.

In this paper MIP(mean inventory period) Model and OMMIP decision flow have been developed. MIP model can calculate mean inventory period which is subject to the order quantity alternative plan. OMMIP decision flow leads how can decide the most minimized order quantity in mean inventory period among various order quantity alternatives. This paper also suggests how to select the order quantity with minimum inventory period as optimal order quantity by means of comparison each mean inventory period with other mean inventory period, after simulating EOQ and order quantity of OMMIP calculated in MIP model.

For a probabilistic model with positively skewed data, a lognormal distribution is one of the key distributions that play a critical role. Several lognormal models can be found in various areas, such as medical science, engineering, and finance. In this paper, we propose a new estimator for a lognormal mean and depict the performance of the proposed estimator in terms of the relative mean squared error (RMSE) compared with Shen's estimator (Shen et al., 2006), which is considered the best estimator among the existing methods. The proposed estimator includes a tuning parameter. By finding the optimal value of the tuning parameter, we can improve the average performance of the proposed estimator over the typical range of σ². The bias reduction of the proposed estimator tends to exceed the increased variance, and it results in a smaller RMSE than Shen's estimator. A numerical study reveals that the proposed estimator has performance comparable with Shen's estimator when σ² is small and exhibits a meaningful decrease in the RMSE under moderate and large σ² values.
