  • Furnace slag powder used currently in Korea needs to add special functions in response to the increase of large-scale projects. In addition, it is advantageous in that it has a lower hydration heat emission rate than ordinary Portland cement and improves properties such as the inhibition of alkali aggregate reaction, watertightness, salt proofness, seawater resistance and chemical resistance. However, furnace slag powder is not self -hardening, and requires activators such as alkali for hydration. Accordingly, if recycled fine aggregate, from which calcium hydroxide is generated, and furnace slag, which requires alkali stimulation, are used together they play mutually complementary roles, so we expect to use the mixture as a resource-recycling construction material. Thus the present study purposed to examine the properties and characteristics of furnace slag powder and recycled aggregate, to manufacture recycled fine aggregate concrete using furnace slag and analyze its performance based on the results of an experiment, to provide materials on concrete using furnace slag as a cement additive and recycled fine aggregate as a substitute of aggregate, and ultimately to provide basic materials on the manufacturing of resource-recycled construction materials using binder and fine aggregate as recycled resources.

  • Fly ash has the advantages, among others, of improving the characteristics of concrete, reducing the price of concrete products, improving the durability, and reducing hydration heat. However, when added in mass, it leads to problems such as insufficient concrete intensity, increase of AE use, and others, resulting in a limitation of the use volume. Therefore, this study is undertaken to solve the problems associated with themass use of fly ash through the high concentration powder ($4000{\sim}8000cm^2/g$) of fly ash, curing method, the addition of an alkali stimulation agent and others for the purpose of increasing the added value of the fly ash. The research showed that the intensity manifestation has an outstanding status, with the hydrates reaching a very stable condition if the rate of addition of a stimulation agent is appropriately used with the heightening of the fineness of the fly ash in the temperature range of $40^{\circ}C$, and if the applicable study is continued, it is likely to result ineffective value generation on the massive replacement of fly ash.

  • In this research, Conducting an engineering properties experiment, this study examined basic properties of regional Hwangto. The results of experiments are as followings. 1) This study confirmed that a result of examining lime order for Hwangto and comparison of stimulants, this study confirmed that 28 day's strength promotion is found in case of calcium hydroxide(Ca(OH)2) and calcium chloride(CaCl2) stimulant. Finally, it is known the fact that lime highly improves the weak strength of Hwangtoh. 2) As XRD analysis for proving the strength manifestation principle of Hwangto by regions, CSH figure and CASH figure appeared in each regional Hwangto in all the strength areas. This result could be appeared through hydraulicity from reaction of alkali stimulant and water, and pozzolan reaction(CSH figure) and $Str{\ddot{a}}tlingite$ reaction(CASH figure) by silica (SiO2) ingredient and calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH)2) among ingredients of clay, and alumina(Al2O3). 3) In result of strength analysis, It is knowned that the Gyeongsangdo Hwangto is stronger than the Jeollado Hwangto in reactivity.

  • This purpose of this study is to find the properties of pore structure and length change of blast furnace slag cement added alkali powder stimulant on shrinkage reducing agent presence. In length change, the specimen added alkaline stimulant was smaller than normal blast furnace slag concrete. And the specimen added shrinkage reduction agent was confirmed to show smaller rate of length change than the length. In MIP analysis of 1day-age, 0.1㎛ subsequent pore amount of the specimen added alkaline stimulant was significantly smaller value the normal blast furnace slag concrete specimen.

  • Using salt-tolerant bacteria to protect plants from salt stress is a promising microbiological treatment strategy for saline-alkali soil improvement. Here, we conducted research on the growth-promoting effect of Brevibacterium frigoritolerans on wheat under salt stress, which has rarely been addressed before. The synergistic effect of B. frigoritolerans combined with representative salt-tolerant bacteria Bacillus velezensis and Bacillus thuringiensis to promote the development of wheat under salt stress was also further studied. Our approach involved two steps: investigation of the plant growth-promoting traits of each strain at six salt stress levels (0, 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10%); examination of the effects of the strains (single or in combination) inoculated on wheat in different salt stress conditions (0, 50, 100, 200, 300, and 400 mM). The experiment of plant growth-promoting traits indicated that among three strains, B. frigoritolerans had the most potential for promoting wheat parameters. In single-strain inoculation, B. frigoritolerans showed the best performance of plant growth promotion. Moreover, a pot experiment proved that the plant growth-promoting potential of co-inoculation with three strains on wheat is better than single-strain inoculation under salt stress condition. Up to now, this is the first report suggesting that B. frigoritolerans has the potential to promote wheat growth under salt stress, especially combined with B. velezensis and B. thuringiensis.
