The catalytic activity of $Pt/{\gamma}-Al_2O_3$ catalysts for the oxidation of toluene and toluene+xylene mixture was investigated in the microreactor of fixed-bed type. The calcination temperatures and loadings of $Pt/{\gamma}-Al_2O_3$ catalysts played the important role in the activity of catalysts for the oxidation of toluene. The increasing calcination temperatures and loadings of $Pt/{\gamma}-Al_2O_3$ catalysts increased the crystallite size of the platinum to result in the higher oxidation activity of catalysts. The catalytic activity for the toluene oxidation over $Pt/{\gamma}-Al_2O_3$ catalysts turned out to be increasing in the order of $500^{\circ}C\;<\;800^{\circ}C<600^{\circ}C\;<\;700^{\circ}C$ for calcination temperatures and 0.1 wt% < 0.3 wt% < 1.0 wt% for platinum loadings, respectively. The 1.0 wt% $Pt/{\gamma}-Al_2O_3$ catalysts calcined at $700^{\circ}C$ for 3 hrs in the air showed the highest activity for the oxidation of the toluene. The decrease of oxidation activity of $Pt/{\gamma}-Al_2O_3$ catalysts calcined at $800^{\circ}C$ might result from the decrease of active sites by sintering of platinum metals as well as ${\gamma}-Al_2O_3$ supports. The 1.0wt% $Pt/{\gamma}-Al_2O_3$ catalyst showed the activity from the lower temperature at $120^{\circ}C$, reached the light-off temperature ($T_{50%}$) at $180^{\circ}C$, and leveled off its activity at $340^{\circ}C$ with the conversion of 100% 'Mutual promotion' effects were observed for the binary mixture of toluene and xylene. The activity of the easy-to-oxidize toluene was slightly increased with the existence of the xylene. It might suggest the different mechanism for the oxidation of toluene and xylene on the $Pt/{\gamma}-Al_2O_3$ catalysts on different sites, and its reaction of gaseous oxygen.
We synthesized phase pure CrN having surface areas up to $47m^2/g$ starting from $CrCl_{3}$ with $NH_{3}$. Thermal Gravimetric Analysis coupled with X-ray diffraction was carried out to identify solid state transition temperatures and the phase after each transition. In addition, the BET surface areas, pore size distributions, and crystalline diameters for the synthesized materials were analyzed. Space velocity influenced a little to the surface areas of the prepared materials, while heating rate did not. We believe it is due to the fast removal of reaction by-products from the system. Temperature programmed reduction results revealed that the CrN was hardly passivated by 1% $O_{2}$. Molecular nitrogen was detected from CrN at 700 and $950^{\circ}C$, which may be from lattice nitrogen. In temperature programmed oxidation with heating rate of 10 K/min in flowing air, oxidation started at or higher than $300^{\circ}C$ and resulting $Cr_{2}O_{3}$ phase was observed with XRD at around $800^{\circ}C$. However the oxidation was not completed even at $900^{\circ}C$. CrN catalysts were highly active for n-butane dehydrogenation reaction. Their activity is even higher than that of a commercial $Pt-Sn/Al_{2}O_{3}$ dehydrogenation catalyst in terms of volumetric reaction rate. However, CrN was not active in pyridine hydrodenitrogenation.
The performance of polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell could be decreased due to coolant leaked from connection part. Micro pump was used to put small amount of coolant and investigate the effect on fuel cell. The stoichiometric ratio of hydrogen/air was 1.5/2.0, both side of gas was fully humidified, and current density of $400mA/cm^2$ was used as standard condition in this experiment. Constant current method was used to check performance recovery from coolant effect in 3 cell stack. The performance was recovered when coolant was injected in cathode side. On the other hand, the performance was not recovered when coolant was injected in anode side. Ethylene glycol could be converted to CO in oxidation process and cause poisoning effect on platinum catalyst or be adhered on GDL and cause gas diffusion block effect resulting performance decrease. Water with nitrogen gas was supplied in anode side to check performance recovery. Polarization curve, cyclic voltammetry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy was used to check performance, and gas chromatography was used to check coolant concentration. Constant current method was not enough in full recovery of performance. However, water injection method was proved good method in full recovery of performance.

ZnO nanostructure was fabricated by catalyst-free method using Zn powder in air. The growth temperature was controlled from 450$^{\circ}$C to 600$^{\circ}$C, and the structural and optical properties were investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), photoluminescence (PL), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) and cathodoluminescence (CL). From all samples both ZnO tetrapods and clusters were observed. No significant dispersion was observed from the ZnO tetrapods, however, ZnO clusters show considerable change in density and size. From the EDX results, atomic composition difference was found. The clusters have O-deficiencies, while tetrapods have stoichiometric composition. Strong luminescence was observed at room temperature. From room temperature PL, UV emission at 380 nm and green emission at 500 nm were observed, and the intensity ratio ($I_{uv}/I_{green}$) increased as growth temperature increases. CL measurements show that the UV emission is closely related with tetrapods and the green emission is dominated from the clusters.

The variation of shapes and related properties of ZnO nanostructures grown on the metal pattern and Si substrate have been investigated. Ni, Cr metal patterns were formed on Si (111) substrates by e-beam evaporation, and ZnO nanostructures were fabricated on it by using thermal evaporation of Zn powder in air. Growth temperature was controlled from 500 $^{\circ}$C to 700 $^{\circ}$C. When the growth temperature was relatively low, no considerable effect was found. However, UV emission intensity decreased, and Green-emission intensity, which is regarded as originated from the defect state in the ZnO nanostructure, increased as growth temperature increase. Also, the variation of nanostructure shape at high temperature (700 $^{\circ}$C) is understood in terms of the enhanced incorporation of metal vapor during the nanostructure formation.
A flow channel shape of PEMFC has an influence on the internal flow uniformity. If the reactant distribution in a flow path is not uniform during operation, both catalyst deactivation and mechanical damage of membrane could occur resulting in decreasing the membrane electrode assembly (MEA) durability. Numerous studies concerning flow design have been conducted to make smooth supply and uniform distribution of reactants in fuel cells. The baffle of flow path could improve fuel cell performance through the forced convection effect. A sub-channel, as an additional air flow path, could increase the reactant concentration and reduce the mass transfer loss via a smooth water discharge. In this study, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) was used to analyze the effect of blocks and sub-channels on the current density and oxygen concentration of the fuel cell. As a result, the limit current density and oxygen concentration at a rear block increased when using blocks and sub-channels in a flow channel. In particular, the current density increased significantly when the sub-channel was placed between two blocks. Also, the sub-channel position was optimized by analyzing the oxygen concentration, and the oxygen concentration was recovered at a rear block in the fuel cell.
The PEM(Proton Exchange Membrane)water electrolysis uses the same PEM electrolyte membrane as the PEM fuel cell and proceeds by the same reaction but the opposite direction. The PEM fuel cell has many methods of degradation analysis since many studies have been conducted on the degradation and durability of the membrane and catalyst. We examined whether PEM fuel cell durability evaluation method can be applied to PEM electrolytic durability evaluation. During the PEM electrolytic degradation process, LSV(Linear sweep voltammetry), CV(Cyclic voltammetry), Impedance, SEM(Scanning Electron Microscope) and FT-IR(Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy) were analyzed and compared under the same conditions as the PEM fuel cell. As the PEM fuel cell, hydrogen passing through the membrane was oxidized at the Pt/C electrode, and the hydrogen permeation current density was measured to analyze the degree of degradation of the PEM membrane. Electrode degradation could be analyzed by measuring the electrode active area (ECSA) by CV under hydrogen/nitrogen flowing conditions. While supplying hydrogen and air to the Pt/C electrode and the IrO2 electrode, the impedance of each electrode was measured to evaluate the durability of the electrode and membrane.
Due to the strengthening of environmental requirements, aging denitrification facilities need to improve their performance. The present study aims to suggest the possibility of improving performance using computational analysis techniques. This involved modifying both the geometric design and the operating conditions, including the flow path shape of the equipment such as the inlet guide vane and the curved diffusing part, and the flow control of the ammonia injection nozzle. The conditions presented in this study were compared with existing operating conditions in terms of the flow uniformity, the NH3/NO molar ratio of the mixed gas flowing into the catalyst layer, and the total pressure drop of the facility. The flow field applied in the computational analysis ranged from the outlet of the economizer in the combustion furnace to the inlet of the air preheater, the full domain of the denitrification facility. The performances were derived by solving the flow fields using ANSYS-Fluent and the injection amount of ammonia was adjusted for each nozzle using Design Xplorer. Compared to the denitrification performances of the equipment currently in operation, the conditions proposed in this study showed an improvement in the flow uniformity and NH3/NO composition ratio by 45.1% and 8.7%, respectively, but the total pressure drop increased by 1.24%.
The idea of creating a new International Space Agency (ISA) is only my academic and practical opinion. It is necessary for us to establish ISA as an international organization for the efficient and rapid exploitation of natural resources in the moon, Mars and other celestial bodies. The establishment of ISA as a new international regime is based on the Article 11, 5 and Article 18 of the 1979 Moon Agreement. In order to establish as a preliminary procedure, it needs to make a "Draft for the Convention on the Establishment of an International Space Agency" among the space-faring countries. In this paper, I was examined the domestic space legislation in the United States, Luxembourg, European Space Agency, China, Japan, the Republic of Korea as well as space exploration and planning of the moons, Mars, Asteroids, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Titan and Other Celestial Bodies. The creation of an ISA would lead to a strengthening of the cooperation needed essentially by the developed countries towards joint and cooperative undertakings in space and would act as a catalyst for the space exploration and exploitation of the moon, Mars and other celestial bodies. It will be managed effectively and centrally the exploitation and exploitation of space the natural resources, technology, manpower and finances as an independent organization in order to get the benefit of the space developed countries by ISA. It is desirable and necessary for us to establish ISA in order to promote cooperation in space policy, law, science technology and industry among the space developed countries in the near future. The establishment of the ISA will be promoted the international cooperation among the space-faring countries in exploration and exploitations of the natural resources in the moon and other celestial bodies. I would propose the "Draft for the Convention for the Establishment of an International Space Agency." in refering the "Convention for the Establishment of a European Space Agency." This "Draft for the Convention Convention for the Establishment of an ISA" must pass the abovementioned "Draft for the Convention" by two-third majority of Diplomatic Conference in the UNCOPUOS. Finally, a very important point is need that a political drive at the highest level and a solemn statement by heads of state of the space devloped countries including the United Nations for the space exploitation of the medium and long term. It should be noted that this political drive will be necessary not only to set up the organization, but also during a subsequent period. It is desirable and necessary for us to establish the ISA in order to develop the space industry, to strengthen friendly relations and to promote research cooperation among the space-faring countries based on the new ideology and creative ideas. If the heads of the superpowers including the United Nations will be agreed to establish ISA at a summit conference, 1 am sure that it is possible to establish an ISA in the near future.

The policy-making and technological development of eco-friendly automobiles designed to increase their supply is ongoing, but the internal combustion engine still accounts for about 95% of the automobiles in use. Also, in order to meet the stricter emission regulations of internal combustion engines based on fossil fuels, the proportion of after-treatments for vehicles and (ocean going) vessels is gradually increasing. Natural gas is a clean fuel that emits few air pollutants and has been used mainly as a fuel for city buses. In the long term, we intend to develop a new NGOC/LNT+NGCO/SCR combined system that simultaneously reduces the toxic gases, $CH_4$ and NOx, emitted from CNG buses. The objective of this study is to investigate the characteristics of $de-CH_4/NOx$ according to the ceramic and metal substrates of the SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) catalysts mounted downstream of the combined system. The V and Cu-SCR catalysts did not affect the $CH_4$ oxidation reaction, the two NGOC/SCR catalysts each coated with two layers began to oxidize $CH_4$ at $400^{\circ}C$, and the amount of $CH_4$ emitted was reduced to about 20% of its initial value at about $550^{\circ}C$. The two NGOC/SCR catalysts each coated with two layers showed a negative (-) NOx conversion rate above $350^{\circ}C$. The ceramic-based combined system reached LOT50 at $500^{\circ}C$, which was about 20% higher in terms of the $CH_4$ conversion rate than the metal-based combined system, showing that the combined system of NGOC/LNT+Cu-SCR is a suitable combination.
