PMSM 드라이브의 효율 최적화 벡터제어 (Efficiency Optimization Control of PMSM)

  • IPMSM (Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) is widely used in many applications such as an electric vehicle, compressor drives of air conditioner and machine tool spindle drives. In order to maximize the efficiency in such applications, this paper is proposed the optimal control method of the armature current. The controllable electrical loss which consists of the copper loss and the iron loss can be minimized by the optimal control of the armature current. The minimization of loss is possible to realize efficiency optimization control for the proposed IPMSM. The proposed control algorithm is applied to IPMSM drive system, the operating characteristics controlled by efficiency optimization control are examined in detail by simulation.

  • In order to manufacture a precision mold/die by machining, users need high speed & precision mold/die machining center. So, for development of this machine, we intend to use linear motor that is instead of ball-screw, servo-motor and coupling, high-speed spindle of pressurized air journal bearing and composite materials. In this paper we research column moving type and table moving type. The former is mainly piling 3 axes on one moving body, the latter is consist of two independent carriages. Both types are available to high speed & precision machine, but we finally draw a conclusion column moving type due to an advantage of high-speed control of linear motor.

  • In silicon wafer manufacturing process, the grinding process has been adopted to improve the quality of wafer such as flatness, roughness and so on. This paper describes the effect of grinding process on the surface quality of wafer. The experiments are carried out by high precision in fred grinder with air bearing spindle. The relationship between the inclination of chuck table and the flatness of wafer is investigated, and the effect of grinding conditions including wheel speed, table speed, and feed rate on damage depth and roughness of wafer is also investigated. The experimental results show that there is close relationship between the inclination of the chuck table and the flatness of wafer, and the grinding conditions within this paper little affect the flatness of wafer and relatively high affect the damage depth of wafer.

  • DTM (Diamond Turning Machine) is using for ultra precision manufacturing such as, plastic lens die or aspherical optics. This study is on a design of precision 2-axis stage for DTM. We designed and manufactured a back lash free stage using different weights and measured the positioning accuracy using Interferometer. Also, the 2-D moving accuracy is measured using the high magnification CCD technique. Then, the stage is tested with the machining of spherical and aspherical lens in a DTM with air bearing spindle. It was shown that the back lash free stage is effective for improving the positioning accuracy. Also, positioning control errors in motion control board were able to be found using the proposed stages system.

  • In this paper, machining characteristics of glass for HDD media are researched. Nowadays HDD media are used globally as a data storage device. In generally, it is machined by the lapping. But the lapping process time is long and the productivity is low. In this reason, 1 examined the possibility of ELID grinding of glass fur HDD media. If the machining process of HDD media can be changed to ELID grinding, a product cost will be largely saved. The machines used in this experiment were a special rotary type grinder and a normal rotary grinder. The one has an air bearing spindle, the other has not. Experimental results show the possibility of highly efficient grinding and mirror surface can be achieved by the ELID grinding.

  • Permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM) is widely used in many applications such as an electric vehicle. compressor drives of air conditioner and machine tool spindle drives. PMSM drive system have become a popular choice in various application, due to their excellent power to weight ratio. This paper is proposed maximum torque control for field weakening operation of PMSM drive. At low speeds, the reluctance torque is used to maximize the output for a given current level. This is achieved maximum torque per ampere(MTPA) by selecting an optimal value of the direct stator current component. At high speeds, the system reaches a point at which the inverter will not be able to supply the desired voltage. In this case it is necessary to make use of an increased value the direct current component. The proposed control algorithm is applied to PMSM drive system, the operating characteristics controlled by maximum torque control are examined in detail by simulation.

MQL장치를 이용한 보링 가공시 최적절삭조건에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Optimal Cutting Condition in Boring using MQL System)

  • Lubrication has an important role to reduce frictional forces and temperature between cutting chips and the face of a tool. However, it has harmful effects to workers' health and working environment. The purpose of this thesis is to find cutting conditions through the quality analysis in boring for SM45C steel using MQL(Minimum Quantity Lubrication). Machining process is super drill, tip drill, end mill and boring in order. Experimental factors of boring and the quantity of mist air are properly selected. With the analysis of experimental data, this thesis shows that boring with MQL improves the surface roughness when spindle speed is 934rpm or feeding speed is 74mm/min.

  • Synchronous reluctance motors(SynRM) for the application such as an electric vehicle, compressor drives of air conditioner and machine tool spindle drives require a wide field-weakening speed range. In order to improve the efficiency performance in such applications, this paper has examined the loss and the efficiency characteristics of SynRM mainly in the field-weakening speed region over the base speed. The control strategy in order to offer a efficiency optimization operation is shown and the copper and iron losses driven the equivalent circuit model of the machine is minimized. The usefulness of the proposed efficiency optimization control is verified through the SynRM durve system.

고속 앵귤러 콘택트 볼베어링의 마찰 토크 및 윤활 특성 (Characteristics of Friction Torques and Lubrication in High Speed Angular Contact Ball Bearings)

  • Friction torques, electrical contact resistances and bearing temperatures were measured on high speed angular contact ball beatings for the spindle of machine tools. The test bearings ran with oil-air lubrication at the thrust loads from 320 N to 1920 N and at the rotational speed of up to 12000 rpm. Electrical contact resistances between balls and races were measured to evaluate the formation of the lubricant film in the contact area. The test results with sufficient lubrication showed that the variations of friction torques were sensitive to the thrust loads and the rotational speeds, and that the friction torques were higher than those with insufficient lubrication. With insufficient lubrication and high thrust loads, the collapse of the lubricant film was detected even at a high rotational speed. It was concluded that these high speed beatings to run in condition of fluid lubrication should require monitoring not only the temperature increase of the bearing but also the lubricant film formation in contact areas resulting from the change in the applied load and the lubricant amount.

  • After the micro turning lathe was developed in the last year by AMR Laboratory, a micro-milling machine is developed for micro machining. This machine is integrated with PZT-driven micro-sliders, micro-linear encoders, air turbine spindle which has maximum 150.000 rpm. It is applicable to milling and drilling machining. This paper shows the possibility of micro machining and characteristics of micro end milling process by using micro machine. A machining of micro barrier ribs using 0.2 mm flat type end mill was achieved by micro-milling machine. As experimental results show the machining capability and positional accuracy of this machine is good enough for machining micro parts.
