R452B 냉매 적용 물대물 지열원 히트펌프 유닛의 냉난방 운전 성능 특성 (Heating and Cooling Performance Characteristics of a Water-to-Water Heat Pump with R452B Refrigerant)

  • Refrigerant having high global warming potentials will be phased out due to environmental protection issues. R410A has been widely used in geothermal heat pump. However, it has a little high GWP by 2088 value. One of the recommended substitute for R410A refrigerant is R452B which having a GWP by 698 value. In this paper, the heating and cooling performance of the water-to-water geothermal heat pump unit with R452B was experimentally investigated. The performance of the heat pump adopting R452B was also compared with the system applying R410A. The heating and cooling capacity of R452B heat pump system showed a slightly lower values within 2% comparing with R410A system. However, the R452B system's coefficient of performance was enhanced by 5.2% and 13.7% at heating and cooling mode, respectively.

  • Heating and cooling performance has been analyzed for the water-source heat pump system using raw water from Daechung reservoir. During heating operation from March to May, water temperature is not good condition for a heat source due to the higher atmospheric temperature. Avearged heating load ratio is only 14.3%, and the averaged unit COP and system COP are estimated to be 2.46 and 2.15 respectively. The COP is affected considerably by the water temperature, and the unit COP is increased from 2.16 at $5^{\circ}C$ to 2.95 at $11^{\circ}C$. Cooling performance is analyzed with the measured data from June to August. During cooling operation, raw water has lower temperature by 4. $5^{\circ}C{\sim}4.7^{\circ}C$ than the atmosphere. The load ratio is 39.2%, and the averaged unit COP and system COP are estimated to be 7.25 and 6.13 respectively. The heating COP is affected by the load ratio rather than water temperature. The COP is increased for 20%~40% load ratio, while is decreased for 40%~60% load ratio. It is estimated that the compressor operation combination for 3 (two constant speed and one inverter) compressors is changed for the load ratio.

  • Remarkable air temperature increases in urban areas are known as heat island phenomenon. In this study, we analyzed the effects of renewable energy on the heat island phenomenon in urban area by numerical method. The results showed that the use of renewable energy reduces the building energy use in urban area and contributes the alleviation of the Urban Heat Island Effects.

심야전기보일러 대체 Heat Pump의 경제성 분석 (Analysis on Economic Feasibility of Electric Night Storage Heat Pump as a Substitution of a Heater)

  • Electric night storage heater was introduced and disseminated for power grid balancing and efficient management of power generation facility. But fuel cost for heating has been increased rapidly while the cost of electricity increased slightly. This abnormal rate system caused peak load in winter at last. To solve this problem, application of an air source heat pump was suggested. In the study, the effect of replacing night heater by heat pump and the economics were analysed. In addition the expectation of prospect of heat pump penetration was simulated based on surveyed and investigated data. As a result, fund supporting as well as institutional backing was needed for effective propagation and return of investment.

  • This study deals with the application of an artificial neural network (ANN) model to predict power consumption for utilizing seawater source heat pumps of recirculating aquaculture system. An integrated dynamic simulation model was constructed using the TRNSYS program to obtain input and output data for the ANN model to predict the power consumption of the recirculating aquaculture system with a heat pump system. Data obtained from the TRNSYS program were analyzed using linear regression, and converted into optimal data necessary for the ANN model through normalization. To optimize the ANN-based power consumption prediction model, the hyper parameters of ANN were determined using the Bayesian optimization. ANN simulation results showed that ANN models with optimized hyper parameters exhibited acceptably high predictive accuracy conforming to ASHRAE standards.

마곡지구 하수열에너지이용 타당성 검토 (Feasibility study on district heating Magok area by sewage water heat source)

  • As a unutilized energy, treated sewage water locates widespread near urban areas. From the previous survey, the sewage water is reported to hold energy potential up to 36,000 Tcal/year, which was 2.1% of the total domestic energy consumption and 9.7% of the energy usage in the household and business sector in 2006. Temperature of the sewage water differs locally, but its range is observed in a range of $20{\sim}25^{\circ}C$ in summer and $8{\sim}13^{\circ}C$ in winter. Since the temperature range of the sewage water has a better seasonal distribution about $5{\sim}10^{\circ}C$ compared to ambient air, it is a promising heat sink for summer or heat source for winter. The sewage water is also a high quality heat source from its abundant quantity and uniform temperature. Considering the ambient temperature of Korea is very low in winter, a heat pump system using the sewage water can be an alternative to prevent problems of capacity deficiency and frost formation.

  • Performance of the raw water-source heat pump system with a thermal storage tank has been analyzed in winter season. The raw water is transferred through the multi-regional water supply system from Han river. Raw water is large temperature difference resource compared with groundwater. Although the raw water temperature drops to $0.6^{\circ}C$ due to the heavy snowfall and the severe cold in late January and early February, 2010, the system has been normally operated without any trouble this winter. The unit COP and system COP considered all pump power consumption were estimated based on the second-by-second data of the all sensors. The monthly averaged unit COP and system COP are 3.37 and 2.76 respectively with $1.4^{\circ}C$ of raw water in January, 3.55 and 2.89 with $1.6^{\circ}C$ raw water in February, 3.82 and 3.15 with $5.4^{\circ}C$ raw water in March. The performance of the system are increased with raw water temperature, and the COPs are higher than the water-to-air heat pump system using relatively high temperature raw water from Daecheong reservoir because the water-to-water system was operated on the full load condition and was stopped when the thermal storage tank was full of the high temperature water.

해수열에너지를 이용한 히트펌프의 국내 적용을 위한 성능평가 시뮬레이션 (Performance analysis simulation for domestic application of heat pump by using sea water heat source)

  • 문명의 발전과 도시화, 산업화를 통하여 인류는 의식주의 해결뿐 아니라 더 낳은 생활환경을 추구하였다. 그 결과 냉동 및 공조 분야의 연구와 개발이 활발히 진행되어 왔다. 하지만 인류는 21세기에 들어 상승하는 고유가와 환경문제를 더 이상 간과할 수 없게 되었다. 그 대안으로, 해수의 열원을 이용한 열펌프의 개발이 진행되었다. 본 논문에서는 2010년의 해수와 대기의 온도를 분석하여 열펌프의 국내적용을 위한 성능평가 시뮬레이션을 HYSYS 프로그램을 이용하여 전수식과 전공기식에 적용하였다. 그 결과, 총 평균 성능계수는 전수식에서 3.37 그리고 전공기식에서 3.48을 기록하였다. 이와 같은 결과로 해수열원을 이용한 열펌프 시스템이 국내사용에 적합함을 알 수 있었다.

수치해석을 통한 저심도 유닛형 지중열교환기의 성능 검토 (Performance Analysis of a Low-Depth Unit-Type Ground Heat Exchanger using Numerical Simulation)

  • Recently, ground source heat pump (GSHP) systems have attracted much attention, according to the enhanced social demand of renewable energy. GSHP systems can achieve higher coefficient of performance than the conventional air-source heat pump systems by utilizing stable underground temperature. However, the initial cost of GSHP system is higher than that of the conventional systems, especially, in the small-size buildings. Therefore, it is necessary to develop small-size ground heat exchanger with low cost and quick installation. In this study, a unit-type ground heat exchanger was developed and heat exchange rate was calculated by the numerical simulation. As a result, 27.45 W/m of heat exchange rate was acquired in the condition of $0.5m{\times}0.2m{\times}2m$ unit.

지열-태양열원 복합시스템의 성능평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Performance Evaluation of Hybrid Energy System with Geothermal and Solar Heat Sources)

  • The present study concerns the annual performance evaluation of a hybrid-renewable energy system with geothermal and solar heat sources for hot water, heating and cooling of the residential buildings. The hybrid energy system consists of ground source heat pump of 2 RT for cooling, solar collectors of $4.8m^2$, storage tank of 250 liters and gas fired backup boiler of 11.6 kW. The averaged coefficients of performance of geothermal heat pump system during cooling and heating seasons are measured as 4.1 and 3.5, respectively. Also solar fraction for hot water is measured as 35 percent. Overall, the results shows that the hybrid-renewable energy system satisfactorily operated under all climatic conditions.
