On purpose of relative comparison of between air-vent attached pattern and non attached one, casting tests were accomplished by castability analysis unrig wax screen mesh pattern. Experimental specimens are divided Into 4groups. 1) Air-vent attached pattern with high casting pressure(coil spring type centrifugal casting machine 2.5turn). 2) Air-vent attached pattern with low casting pressure(coil spring type centrifugal casting machine 1.5turn). 3) Air vent non attached pattern with high casting pressure(coil spring type centrifugal casting machine 2.5turn). 4) Air-vent non attached pattern with low casting pressure(coil spring type centrifrgal casting machine 1.5turn). The main results are as follows : 1) The condition of high casting pressure no.1, no.3 were showed perfect castability. 2) The condition of low-casting pressure, there is a wide difference between no.2, no.4 group. Castability of no.2 group preferable to no.4 group(p<0.001). 3) Low casting pressure and complex shape cause the low-castability. So it is recommanded that use of air-vent in case of complex shaped wax pattern with low easting pressure.

It is well known that a refrigerant-induced noise is caused by two-phase flow in the indoor unit of a heat pump air-conditioner. Especially when the flow pattern in a pipe is intermittent flow, the irregular noise occurs frequently. But it is very difficult to avoid this kind of the noise for the application of air-conditioner. Therefore, in this research, the flow patterns at two-phase flow state in a pipe of the indoor unit for the air-conditioner are researched using cycle simulator at typical cycle conditions. In order to find the relationship between refrigerant-induced noise and flow pattern, the noise patterns are investigated with respect to the estimated flow pattern from the various flow pattern maps. Base on the estimations of the flow patterns by those maps, the refrigerant-induced noise is evaluated as decreasing tube diameter, which can transit the flow pattern from slug to annular flow.
Cometabolic air sparging (CAS) is a new and innovative technology that uses air sparging principles but attempts to optimize in situ contaminant degradation by adding a growth substrate to saturated zone. CAS relies on the degradation of the primary growth substrate and cometabolic substrate transformation in the saturated zone and in the vadose zone for volatilized contaminants. In this study, we have investigated to determine MTBE degradation pattern and microbial activity variation if using propane as a primary substrate at the condition of considering air injection rate and air injection pattern. Laboratory-scale two-dimentional aquifer physical model studies were used and the experimental results were represented that the optimal conditions were as air injection rate of 1,000 mL/min and pulsed air injection pattern (15 min on/off). Over 1,000 mL/min air injection rate and continuous air injection pattern was no affected to increase DO concentration. On the other hand, Injection of propane and propane-utilizing bacteria degraded MTBE partially. And also, injection of propane- and MTBE-utilizing bacteria effectively degraded MTBE and TBA production was observed.
A Study using compare and analyze about differences among three patterns(shape and size of pattern, fitting and amount of air gap and so on) through 3D simulation. This study use 3D simulation program, DC Suite version 3.0. The results are as a follows: The results of estimation about total appearance, the pattern of Bunka is best of all pattern about total fitting and silhouette of front and back side. The pattern of armstrong and on&on stand low in estimation. As the total fitting, the pattern of Bunka is 4.40, the pattern of Armstrong is 2.60 and the pattern of On&on is 1.60. The result show better pattern of Bunka than pattern of Armstrong and On&on. When we examine about space between body and cloth, the pattern of Bunka is best. The pattern of Armstrong don't have problems about back side but front side have some problem of getting loose. Because it only have a waist dart so dart size is too big. The pattern of On&on have so much space because it don't have a waist dart. On the amount of air gap, the pattern of Bunka squash up body so it have the amount of air gap 0.08 at bust circumference and underbust circumference. Next is the pattern of Armstrong, amount of air gap is 0.14 at bust circumference and 0.23 at underbust circumference. The pattern of On&on's amount of air gap is 0.30 at bust circumference and 0.37 at underbust circumference. So the pattern of Bunka is bodice block of the best closing adhesion and the On&on is a loose-fitting pattern.

This study has been conducted to propose an optimal design guidance of underfloor air distribution system by examining air pattern and proper exhaust status of floor plenum using CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics). Simulation shows deficient air pattern and exhaust status at BPG (Bypass Grille) of the current design. As a means to find an alternative design, four cases have been developed and tested. Case 1, 2 and 3 show similar results in comparison to the current design. However, case 4 shows improved air pattern and exhaust status at BPG(Bypass Grille), and has been chosen as the optimal alternative.
Laboratory-scale two-dimensional aquifer physical model studies were conducted to assess the effect of air injection rate and air injection pattern on the removal of disel contaminated soil and groundwater by air/bio-sparging. The experimental results were represented that the optimal conditions in this experiment were as air injection rate of 1,000 ml/min and pulsed air injection pattern(15 min on/off). The results of the TPH reduction, DO consumption and $CO_2$ production indicate the effective biodegradation evidence of diesel. Based on our results, The minimal $O_2$ supply and pulsed air injection pattern could effectively enhance the diesel removal and the pulsing air injection had effect on oxygenation in this system. Thus, the cost of operating air/bio-sparging system will be reduced if optimal air injection rate and pulsed air injection pattern are applied to remediate contaminants.

The purpose of this study is to develop an excellent bodice prototype that is adapted to the body shape of middle-aged women using 3D measurement data. In the evaluation of appearance, S pattern 4.00, B pattern 2.80, E pattern 2.40, L pattern 1.40 were shown in order, and the best fit of S pattern was evaluated as excellent. As a result of looking at the color distribution chart to find out the amount, E pattern and S pattern were not space in the front bust, armhole, and the back waist line. The B pattern and the L pattern were marked in blue because of insufficiency space in the back neck. As a result of evaluation the amount of air gap in the clothing, the air gap of the bust was 0.12, which is the largest pattern of B. Next, the L pattern appears as a tight circle with smallest air gap in the order of the S pattern 0.096, the E pattern 0.08, and the L pattern 0.003. The S pattern was evaluated to be the most appropriate for the body shape of middle-aged women. But the waist and back were slightly tight. Middle-aged women have larger shoulder-related items and larger waist circumference. Therefore, when you set the perimeter item, you should add 1-2cm of space amount and give extra space to the circumference area.

This study improves the fitness of Air Force winter service uniforms through the development of a shirt pattern drafting method and automatic pattern drafting program for MTM production. A calculation formula is formed through a correlation analysis and regression analysis using Size Korea 2004 3D measurement data after analyzing 4 kinds of existing shirt pattern drafting methods and 3 types of shirt patterns currently used for the Air Force service uniform. The results of this study are as follows: The developed pattern drafting method has 4 parts that use calculated dimensions: neck base width, front interscye, back interscye and scye depth. Other body measuring parts that have a high correlation with calculation parts are inserted into regression analysis as independent variables to create dimension calculation formulas. The result of the final study patterns were better than existing winter service uniforms in nearly all items for the appearance evaluation and motion adaptability evaluations. The method was converted into an automatic pattern drafting program using C++ after the completion of pattern drafting method development.

Nowadays a lot of high-tech electronic products such as TVs, monitors and camcorders are being developed. The more functions the electronic devices have, the more heat problems occur. Therefore, most of electronic products have air-ventilation holes to eliminate heat that is generated inside the products. The shapes of ventilation holes are usually complicated since aesthetic appearance of the products is important these days. In order to create those complicated shapes, designers should do time-consuming jobs because most of commercial CAD systems do not provide the functions that create patterns of lofted parts along freeform surfaces. In this research, an automated air-ventilation hole modeling system was proposed. The system generates patterns of lofted objects on freeform surfaces. Standard process to create air-ventilation holes manually was established, and vent-hole types and pattern types were classified into several categories. Designers can create many kinds of vent-holes by combining vent-hole types and pattern types. Users can also utilize user-defined pattern which can give users more flexibility. Developed system was applied to several design examples and the results are presented.

In this paper, This work demonstrates a experimental evaluation for vehicle road noise NVH performance from the component-level NVH measurements of Tire. The power unit noise from tire emitted by cars has been reduced. It has been found that tire noise dominates noise produced by the power train when vehicles are driven at high constant speed. Therefore tire pattern noise is affected by pattern and vehicle and transmission loss. Tire noise mechanism is generated by several mechanisms. The sound of tire can propagate either through the air or through the structure of vehicle. Pattern noise is the result of pressure variations through the air to the interior side of vehicle. Especially, smooth asphalt, the periodicity of tread design, groove depth is important factor, which have an influence on the reduction of tire pattern noise.
