Distribution system reliability evaluation estimates by approach methods such as Makove modelling or Monte Carlo simulation, equation of state and failure rate that is on one basic data used to these assessment technique is described as probability of average value. because average failure rate equipment device is aged as time goes by but there is shortcoming that such used failure rate does not evaluate thing which is correct in reliability change hereafter. In this paper, failure rate displayed that apply aging to basis equipment device by passing time using Weibull distribution one of life evaluation method and for express aging of component from utility's failure database.
Life management technology is required as the failure risk of aged power transformers increases. Asset management technology is developed to evaluate the remaining life, establish the replacement strategies, and decide the optimal investment based on the reliability and economy of power transformers. The remaining life assessment uses data such as installation, operation, maintenance, refurbishment, and failure of power transformers. The optimal investment also uses data such as maintenance, outage, and social costs. To develop the asset management system for power transformers, determining the degradation parameters related to the aging of power transformers and evaluating the condition of power transformers using these parameters are important. In this study, since 1983, 110,000 Dissolved Gas Analysis (DGA) data have been analyzed to determine the degradation parameters related to the aging of power transformers. The alarm rates of combustible gases ($H_2$, $C_2H_2$, $C_2H_4$, $CH_4$, and $C_2H_6$), TCG, CO, and $CO_2$ were analyzed. The end of life and failure rate (bathtub curve) of power transformers were also calculated based on the failure data from 1981 to 2014. The DGA gases related to discharge, overheating, and insulation degradation were determined based on alarm and failure rates. $C_2H_2$, $C_2H_6$, and $CO_2$ were discharge, oxidation, and insulation degradation parameters related to the aging of power transformers.
This paper suggests a revision method for historical fault data using Proportional Aging Reduction(PAR) to consider maintenance effect in time-varying failure rate. In order to product time-varying failure rate, the historical fault data are necessary. However, the maintenance record could be left out in historical data by spot operator's mistake. In this case, the failure rate is produced less than the average failure rate for increasing equipments' life-time by maintenance effect. Hence, it is necessary for new time-varying failure rate to extract maintenance effect from the existing fault data. In this paper, the revision method to reduce equipments' life-time, adversely using PAR among three techniques to consider maintenance effect.

The dynamic properties of laminated rubber bearings used as isolators in structures could be significantly deteriorated because of the change of microstructure in rubber caused by thermal aging. As a result, a catastrophic failure of bridges and buildings unexpectedly occurs when they are subjected to earthquake attack. Here, the dynamic properties of laminated rubber bearings before and after different of compression-shear loading and repeated cycles loadings, ultimated failure test with thermal aging were first measured and compared to each other. The experimental results, the effects of thermal aging on the shear stiffness, energy absorption, and equivalent damping coefficient of laminated rubber bearings are investigated. It is found that the deterioration of dynamic properties of laminated rubber bearings caused by thermal aging is significant and should be taken into account in designing rubber bearings.

This study presents an approach to predict insulation resistance failure of multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs) using non-linear modeling. A capacitance aging model created by non-linear modeling allowed for the prediction of insulation resistance failure. The MLCC data tested under temperature-humidity-bias testing conditions showed that a change in capacitance, when measured against a capacitance aging model, was able to provide a prediction of insulation resistance failure.

This paper proposes methods to incorporate station related aging failures in composite system reliability assessment. Aging failures of station components, such as circuit breakers and bus bars, are a major concern in composite power system planning and operation as an increasing number of station components approach the wear-out phase. This paper presents probabilistic models for circuit breakers involving aging failures and relevant evaluation techniques to examine the effects of station related aging outages. The technique developed to incorporate station related aging failures are illustrated by application to a small composite test system. The paper illustrates the effects of circuit breaker aging outages on bulk system reliability evaluation and examines the relative effects of variations in component age. System sensitivity analysis is illustrated by varying selected component parameters. The results show the implications of including component aging failure considerations in the overall analysis of a composite system.

Differential scanning calorimetry and numerical analysis were performed to estimate the performance degradation and ignition characteristics of the pyrotechnic device due to aging. The reaction kinetics extracted from the calorimetry are implemented into the numerical simulation of the igniter and the pyrotechnic delay, subjected to natural, thermal, and hygrothermal aging conditions. Also, combustion experiments are conducted to confirm that aging due to moisture is a major cause of performance failure of the pyrotechnic device as shown from the present numerical simulations.
It has become ever harder to design reliable circuits with each nanometer technology node under normal operation conditions, a transistor device can be affected by various aging effects resulting in performance degradation and eventually design failure. The reliability (aging) effect has traditionally been the area of process engineers. However, in the future, even the smallest of variations can slow down a transistor's switching speed, and an aging device may not perform adequately at a very low voltage. Because of such dilemmas, the transistor aging is emerging as a circuit designer's problem. Therefore, in this paper, the impact of aging effects on the delay and power dissipation of digital circuits by using nanomneter MOSFET power gating structure has been analyzed.. Based on this analyzed aging models, a reliable digital circuits can be designed.
Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the shear bond strength (SBS) of orthodontic brackets bonded to three-dimensionally (3D)-printed materials after various surface treatments and artificial aging compared with that bonded to computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD-CAM) polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA)-milled materials. Methods: Eighty cylindrical specimens were 3D printed and divided into the following four subgroups (n = 20 each) according to the surface treatment and artificial aging procedure. Group A, sandblasted with 50 ㎛ aluminum oxide particles (SA) and aging; group B, sandblasted with 30 ㎛ silica-coated alumina particles (CO) and aging; group C, SA without aging; and group D, CO without aging. For the control group, 20 CAD-CAM PMMA-milled cylindrical specimens were sandblasted with SA and aged. The SBS was measured using a universal testing machine (0.25 mm/min), examined at ×2.5 magnification for failure mode classification, and statistically analyzed (p = 0.05). Results: The retention obtained with the 3D-printed materials (groups A-D) was higher than that obtained with the PMMA-milled materials (control group). However, no significant difference was found between the study and control groups, except for group C (SA without aging), which showed significantly higher retention than the control group (PMMA-SA and thermocycling) (p = 0.037). Study groups A-D predominantly exhibited a cohesive specimen mode, indicating specimen fracture. Conclusions: Orthodontic brackets bonded to 3D-printed materials exhibit acceptable bonding strengths. However, 3D-printed materials are prone to cohesive failure, which may result in crown fractures.

This paper proposes a method to consider an aging failure probability and survival probability of power system components unlike uses only aging failure probability in existing mean life calculation. The estimates of the mean and its standard deviation is calculated by using Weibull distribution and each estimated parameters is obtained from Data Analytic Method (Type II Censoring). The parameter estimation using Data Analytic Method is simpler and faster than a traditional calculation method. This paper shows how to calculate the mean life and its standard deviation by the proposed method and illustrates a exactness using real historical records of generator utilities in korea.
