We describe a scheme for developing character-based interface within the context of an agent-based tutoring system in the Web environment. The ideas in this paper stem from original work representing aspects of human emotion in tutoring computer models, where may provide mote natural ways for students to communicate with digital learning materials. The proposed system model is a set of software services that enable developers to incorporate interactive animated characters into their Web pages designed for on-line lectures. The prototypical application is developed and shown for validating the applicability and the effectiveness of this model in real tutoring settings.

Recently, searching agent systems to help purchase of products between business and customer have been actively studied in Electronic Commerce(EC). However, the most of comparative searching agent systems are only provided customers with searching results by the keyword-based search, and is not support the efficient decision models to be selected products considering the customer's requirements. This paper proposes the decision agent system applied decision model as well as searching functions based on the keyword-input to be selected useful products in EC. The proposed decision agent system is consist of the user interface, provider interface, decision model. Especially, as the example of the decision model, this paper is designed and implemented the prototype of decision agent system which is normalized the searching data and value of customer's preference weight as to each attribute, and orderly provided customers with computed results. This agent system is also carried out sensitive analysis according to the reflection ratio of the each attribute.

최근 생체 모방 시스템과 지능 로봇 등에 대한 관심에 따라 일정한 작업을 스스로 수행하는 로봇 에이전트 시스템에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다 로봇 에이전트를 보다 인간 친화형으로 제어하기 위한 인터페이스가 요구되고 있는데 본 논문에서는 인터넷 환경에 기반한 로봇 에이전트의 원격 제어 및 모니터링을 위한 가상 3D 인터페이스 시스템을 제안한다. 제안한 시스템은 매니저-에이전트 모델로 설정하고 작업자가 원격지에 있는 매니저에서 가상의 3D사용자 인터페이스 환경하에서 마우스로 로봇 에이전트에게 작업 지시 내용에 따라 스스로 물체의 3차원 형상을 인식하고 이를 목표한 위치로 옮기는 작업을 수행하게 된다. 제안된 시스템은 이 작업의 과정을 가상의 3D 그래픽과 실제 영상을 보여주는 개선된 인터페이스를 제공함으로써 보다 쉽고 인간 친화적인 로봇 에이전트의 제어가 가능함을 보인다.

Recently, there are lots of concerning on robot agent system working for itself with the trends of the research of bio-mimetic system and intelligent robot. In this paper, a virtual 3D interface system is proposed based on Internet for remote controlling and monitoring of mobile robot. The proposed system is constructed as manager-agent model. A worker can order the robot agent move to a new position by clicking the destination on virtual space of 3D graphic interface in manager. Then the robot agent move to the position automatically with avoiding collision by using range finding and autonomous control algorithm. The proposed robot agent system lets us control the mobile robot remotely located more conveniently.

This study examines the recognition of the user's sound command based on speech recognition and natural language processing, and develops the natural language interface agent which can analyze the recognized command. The natural language interface agent consists of speech recognizer and semantic interpreter. Speech recognizer understands speech command and transforms the command into character strings. Semantic interpreter analyzes the character strings and creates the commands and questions to be transferred into the application program. We also consider the problems, related to the speech recognizer and the semantic interpreter, such as the ambiguity of natural language and the ambiguity and the errors from speech recognizer. This kind of natural language interface agent can be applied to the telephony environment involving all kind of communication media such as telephone, fax, e-mail, and so on.

This hardware includes function of image capture through camera interface, image process and sending off image information by LAN(local area network) or WLAN(wireless local area network). We define this hardware as a network based Visual Agent Platform for Tangible Space, This Visual Agent Platform includes the software that is RTLinux and CORBA

본 논문에서는 RFID를 기반으로 하는 지능형 홈 네트워크의 아키텍처를 제시하고, 이러한 홈 네트워크를 효율적으로 관리하기 위한 지능형 에이전트를 제시한다. 이 에이전트는, 에이전트 내의 각 모듈이 수행하는 작업을 총괄하여 관리하는 에이전트 관리자, RFID 리더기를 통하여 홈 가전기가로부터 데이터를 수집하는 데이터 수집기, 홈 네트워크의 상황에 따른 오퍼레이션을 결정하고, 결정된 오퍼레이션을 해당 가전기기로 전달하는 실행 제어기, 에이전트가 오퍼레이션을 수행하는데 필요한 데이터를 저장하는 데이터 저장소, 홈 가전기기로부터 수집한 데이터를 임시적으로 저장하는 데이터 큐, 사용자가 에이전트를 통하여 홈 네트워크를 직접 제어하거나 모니터링 할 수 있도록 하는 사용자 인터페이스의 여섯 개의 모듈로 구성된다. 이 에이전트는 홈 네트워크 내의 가전기기에 대한 상태 정보를 분석하여 자율적으로 홈 네트워크 내의 상황을 학습하고, 사용자의 성향에 맞도록 가전기기를 제어한다. 따라서 지능형 에이전트를 통하여 홈 네트워킹을 수행한다며 사용자는 직접 모든 가전기기를 제어하지 않더라도 자신의 성향에 맞는 홈 환경에서 생활할 수 있다.

본 논문에서는 JNDI를 이용한 네이밍 서비스와 디렉토리 서비스를 적용한 Mobile Agent 기반 SNMP 망관리 시스템을 제안한다. Mobile Agent 기반의 망관리 시스템은 기존의 중앙집중식 망관리의 단점들을 해결한다 또한 분산환경에서 관리자가 직접 대리자를 참조하고 접근하여 관리자의 필요에 따라 Mobile Agent를 파견할 수 있도록 JNDI를 이용하여 네이밍 서비스와 디렉토리 서비스를 지원하는 시스템을 설계 및 구현하였다.

본 논문에서는 웹을 통하여 탈놀이에 관한 멀티미디어 정보를 제공하는 에이전트 기반의 탈놀이안내 시스템을 설계하고 구현한다. 사용자가 요구사항을 입력하면 클라이언트는 서버에게 이를 전송하고, 서버는 입력된 조건을 만족하는 탈놀이의 동영상 및 안내음성을 웹을 통하여 클라이언트에게 전송하여 상영한다. 본 논문에서는 에이전트 기반의 안내 시스템을 개발하기 위하여 인터페이스 에이전트, 사용자 모델링 에이전트, 중재 에이전트, 자료관리 에이전트를 설계하고 구현하였다. 또한 개발한 탈놀이 안내 시스템은 멀티미디어 데이터를 생성하는 기본기능 외에도 키워드를 이용한 검색 학습 등의 다양한 기능을 제공한다.
