  • As software becomes larger and network technology develops, the management of distributed data becomes more popular. Therefore, it is becoming increasingly important to use blockchain technology that can guarantee the integrity of data in various fields by utilizing existing infrastructure. Blockchain is a distributed computing technology that ensures that servers participating in a network maintain and manage data according to specific agreement algorithms and rules to ensure integrity. As smart contracts are applied, not only passwords but also various services to be applied to the code. In order to reinforce existing research on smart contract applied to the blockchain, we proposed a dynamic conditional rule of smart contract that can formalize rules of smart contract by introducing ontology and SWRL and manage rules dynamically in various situations. In the previous research, there is a module that receives the upper rule in the blockchain network, and the rule layer is formed according to this module. However, for every transaction request, it is a lot of resources to check the top rule in a blockchain network, or to provide it to every blockchain network by a reputable organization every time the rule is updated. To solve this problem, we propose to separate the module responsible for the upper rule into an independent server. Since the module responsible for the above rules is separated into servers, the rules underlying the service may be transformed or attacked in the middleware. Therefore, the security mechanism using TLS and PKI is added as an agent in consideration of the security factor. In this way, the benefits of computing resource management and security can be achieved at the same time.

  • This paper deals with reconfigurable secured mobile systems where the reconfigurability has the potential of providing a required adaptability to change the system requirements. The reconfiguration scenario is presented as a run-time automatic operation which allows security mechanisms and the addition-removal-update of software tasks. In particular, there is a definite requirement for filtering and intrusion detection mechanisms that will use fewer resources and also that will improve the security on the secured mobile devices. Filtering methods are used to control incoming traffic and messages, whereas, detection methods are used to detect malware events. Nevertheless, when different reconfiguration scenarios are applied at run-time, new security threats will be emerged against those systems which need to support multiple security objectives: Confidentiality, integrity and availability. We propose in this paper a new approach that efficiently detects threats after reconfigurable scenarios and which is based on filtering and intrusion detection methods. The paper's contribution is applied to Android where the evaluation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed middleware in order to detect the malicious events on reconfigurable secured mobile systems and the feasibility of running and executing such a system with the proposed solutions.

  • Recent research has been actively carried out on systems that want to optimize resource utilization by analyzing the intended behavior and pattern of behavior of objects (users, consumers). A service system that applies information about an object's location or behavior must include a location trigger processing system for tracking an object's real-time location. In this paper, we analyze design problems for the implementation of a context-awareness based location trigger system, and present system models based on analysis details. For this purpose, this paper introduces the concept of location trigger for intelligent location tracking techniques about moving situations of objects, and suggests a mobile agent system with active rules that can perform monitoring and appropriate actions based on sensing information and location context information, and uses them to design and implement the location trigger system for context-awareness based location services. The proposed system is verified by implementing location trigger processing scenarios and trigger service and action service protocols. In addition, through experiments on mobile agents with active rules, it is suggested that the proposed system can optimize the role and function of the application system by using rules appropriate to the service characteristics and that it is scalable and effective for location-based service systems. This paper is a preliminary study for the establishment of an optimization system for utilizing resources (equipment, power, manpower, etc.) through the active characteristics of systems such as real-time remote autonomous control and exception handling over consumption patterns and behavior changes of power users. The proposed system can be used in system configurations that induce optimization of resource utilization through intelligent warning and action based on location of objects, and can be effectively applied to the development of various location service systems.

  • As the various A/V devices and home networks are delivered to users, home networks are changing to an entertainment network. It is expected that the required network bandwidth and the amount of usage of media content in home entertainment networks will be increased. Although the access networks and home networks becoming a high speed network, there remains the problems for QoS-guaranteed media content transfer in home networks. Also, in the home network, there can be network traffic caused by applications like video conferencing, video telephone, and VoIP(voice over IP) as well as inner network traffic of home network. Since media content transfer requires the real-time delivery, it is very important and basic requirement that is to transfer media content to A/V device user wants while keeping the media quality. Even though there are many middleware protocol for home networking, they provide basic device discovery and control or simple functions for QoS-guaranteed media content transfer that are not enough to provide QoS-guaranteed media transfer service that user wants. Thus, in this paper, we propose the technique based on UPnP(universal plug and play) protocol for QoS-guaranteed media content transfer in the home network. The proposed technique is compatible with UPnP and can be used with UPnP as additional functions. In this paper, we utilize VideoLAN application to verify the proposed technique. We add the additional modules that support the proposed technique's function to VideoLAN and we verify the its functions through various test scenarios.
