In this study, we investigated the modeling and design of an Intelligent Agent System (IAS). To achieve this goal, we introduced several kinds of agents that exhibit intelligent features. These are the main agent, management agent, watcher agent, report agent and application agent. We applied the intelligent agent concept to two different application fields, i.e. the intelligent agent system for pattern classification and the intelligent agent system for bank asset management modeling.

에이젼트를 이용한 응용의 증가와 함께, 이의 효율적 운영을 위한 관리 방안이 필요해졌다. 본 논문에서는 소프트웨어 에이젼트의 동작을 모니터링하고 작업을 제어하는 관리 방안에 대해 연구하였다. 에이젼트를 효과적으로 관리하기 위하여 에이젼트의 동작 특성을 조사하고, 관리에 필요한 관리정보를 SNMP SMI 표준에 따라 정의하였다. 구현 방안은 많은 에이젼트를 관리하기 위해, 에이젼트 매스터를 이용하여 동작을 관리하는 방식으로 하였다. 본고에서 정의한 에이젼트 관리정보를 자체 제작한 에이젼트 시스템에 구현하여 이를 적용하여 실험한 결과, 효과적인 에이젼트의 동작 모니터링 및 관리가 가능해짐을 알 수 있었다.

Mobile Agent는 네트워크 환경에서 관리자의 작업을 자율적으로 대신 수행하는 이동이 가능한 소프트웨어 프로그램으로 현재 여러 분야에서 응용되어지고 있는 기술이다. 본 논문에서는 분산환경에서 mobile agent 기술을 이용한 네트워크 관리 구조를 제안하였다. Mobile agent를 생성한 후 네이밍 서비스에 의해 분산 객체인 SNMP 대리자 프록시를 찾아내고 이후 mobile agent와 프록시 사이의 통신을 통해 필요한 관리정보를 획득하여 관리 시스템으로 전달하게 하였다. 분산환경에서 투명성 제공을 위해 CORBA를 기반으로 하였다. 또한 SNMP 대리자를 위한 프록시를 두어 SNMP 대리자와 CORBA 객체인 mobile agent 간의 통신을 가능하게 하였다. 제안된 구조에서 mobile agent는 자동화된 관리 기능 수행이 가능하며 새로운 관리 기능 추가 및 변경을 용이하게 하므로 효율적인 관리 방식을 제공함을 알 수 있었다.

Agent technology has been widely applied in today's electronic business, such as mobile agents, multi-agent information systems, etc. In particular, multi-agent systems have been applied as powerful simulation tools to study complex business networks composed of various self-interested trading firms and/or human beings. In this paper, we build an integrated model that consists of a multi-agent B2C market model and a B2B trade network model, and incorporate more reality than much of prior work. Then with this model, we carry out experimental studies on two different strategies that are common in electronic business - 'loyal' strategy (retailers try to build stable cooperation with suppiers to ensure material supply) and 'cost-saving' strategy (retailers try to reduce cost by choosing suppliers with lower wholesale price).

본고에서는 에이전트의 제어 및 관리를 위한 인터페이스 표준과, 각 인터페이스에 필요한 메시지를 구현하였다. 에이전트 인터페이스는 에이전트, 에이전트를 생성하고 활동 토대를 제공하는 에이전트 시스템, 서비스를 요구하는 클라이언트, 서비스를 중재하는 에이전트 매스터, 망내의 에이전트 관리 기능을 수행하는 에이전트 관리자 사이의 메시지 교환으로 정의된다. 이러한 인터페이스 표준은 OMG의 MAF와 FIPA의 에이전트 표준을 반영하여 만들어 졌으며, 논문에서 정의한 인터페이스와 메시지를 이용한 응용을 구현하여 실험하였다 실험 망은 컨텐츠를 분배해주는 망을 에이전트로 구현한 망으로서, 에이전트 인터페이스를 통해 이를 제어하고 관리하였다.

Technological innovations over the years have accentuated the workings in corporate- connected organizations and different application platforms. Hence, a unified management information system (MIS) that can utilize the Web and propel programming developments is required. Software agents, the latest developments in computer software technology, can be utilized to rapidly and effortlessly build integrated information systems. Consequently, 59 research papers on the use of software agents in MIS were identified from top 40 MIS journals published between 2007 and 2017. Then, we reviewed and classified all the research papers according to two categories: application fields and application categories. The application fields consisted of eight sub-groups: manufacturing, telecommunication systems, traffic and transportation management, information filtering and gathering, electronic commerce, business process management, entertainment, and medical care; whereas the application categories consisted of three sub-groups: multi-agent systems, personal assistants, and multi-agent simulation. The research papers were further divided into journal and year of publication, and journal and application field. The objective of our research was to understand the trend of the use software agent technology in MIS by examining the published research paper beside to add knowledge and content to the information system academic discipline.

In this paper, we analyze the performance of the network management system with intelligent mobile agent system. The proposed system dynamically selects appropriate its destinations. Thus, the system has an advantage of flexible network management in mobile network environments as well as dynamic change of traffic. Comparing its delay and throughput performance with the conventional SNMP based network management system, we find that the proposed mobile agent system performs better efficiency than the conventional one.

차세대 정보통신망의 중요한 요건으로 이동성 멀티미디어 서비스의 제공이 지적되고 있으며, 이러한 통신망 자원의 효율적인 운영, 관리를 위해서는 통신망 관리시스템이 필수적이라 할 수 있다. 현재 ATM과 SDH 기반의 초고속 통신망과 IP 기반의 인터네트워킹 기술이 차세대 정보통신망의 주축이 될 것으로 예상되며, 정보 통신망 요소 시스템들(교환기 및 전송장비, 단말장비, 라우터 등)의 관리는 TMN(Telecommunications Management Network)과 SNMP(Simple Network Management Protocol)을 기반으로 하는 agent들이 적용될 것이다. 이와 같이 서로 다른 기술을 기반으로 하는 통신망 관리 agent를 갖는 통신망 자원들을 통합관리하고 광역 정보통신망의 효율적인 구성을 위해서는 분산환경을 기반으로 한 통신망 관리체계가 보다 효과적일 수 있다. 이러한 요건을 만족하는 통신망 구조가 TINA(Telecommunications Information Networking Architecture) 체계의 통신망 관리구조이다. 본 논문에서는 통합 통신망 관리를 위한 TINA manager와 TMN agent 사이의 연동(interworking)방안 및 기능 구조를 제안한다. 제안된 연동구조는 관리객체를 변환하는 기 맛\ulcorner방식과는 달리 TINA 체계의 통신망관리 계층중 EML(Element Management Layer)의 서브네트워크 관리동작을 통신망 요소 시스템의 TMN agent 관리 동작으로 변환하는 것을 기본 개념으로 하고 있다. 이는 specification translation을 수행하는 JIDM(Joint Inter-Domain management) 구조에 비하여 비교적 간단한 구조를 가지며 시스템의 처리부담이 작은 장점을 갖는다.

본 논문에서는 인터넷 망을 위한 SNMP(Simple Network Management Protocol)를 이용하는 망 관리 시스템과 OSI 망을 위한 CMIP (Common Management Information Protocol)을 사용하는 망 관리 시스템을 상호 연동할 수 있는 통합 망 관리 에이전트 (agent)를 설계, 구현하였다. 서로 다른 두 망 관리 시스템을 통합하기 위하여 본 연구에 앞서 수행한 MOVI(Managed Object View Interface) 개념을 이용하였다. 통합 망 관리 에이전트 설계를 위한 3가지 모델을 검토하고 이 모델들의 장단점을 비교하여 적합한 모델을 선택 하였다. 선택한 모델을 구체화할 수 있는 통합 망 관리 에이전트의 논리적 구조와 구체적인 구현방법 그리고 각 모듈별 작동에 대하여 언급하였다. 본 연구에서는 기존의 망 관리 시스템인 osimis와 ucd-snmp 시스템을 참조 모델로 이용하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 인터넷 망과 OSI 망을 망 관리적 측면에서 연동할 수 있을 뿐 아니라 앞으로 MOVI 개념에서 언급하고 있는 것과 같이 새롭게 정의될 수 있는 망 관리 시스템과의 연동에 대한 확장도 가능하다는 장점을 가진다.

이동 에전트를 응용한 프로그래밍은 최근 급격히 확산되고 있는 경향으로서, 이는 코드의 이동성을 기초로 한 프로그래밍 패다임이다. 네트워크 환경에서 컴퓨터의 사용이 증가함에 따라 컴퓨터 네트워크의 보안 관리의 중요성이 부각되고 있다. 본 연구는 이동 에이전트를 이용한 보안 관리 시스템의 기본 모델을 설계하였다.
