Television is a powerful and persuasive teacher. It has the potential to influence perceptions, knowledge, beliefs, and behaviors, thus nutritionists need to be aware of the nutrition-related information (NRI) in television programming and the effect this information has on viewers. The purpose of this article was to review research published in peer-reviewed journals between 1988 and 2003 that examined the NRI embedded in American television programming, which is exported to over 125 nations, and its impact on nutrition knowledge, attitudes, and/or behaviors. This review revealed that, for the past 15 years, NRI was commonly included in both television advertisements and shows. Advertised foods were mainly high in fat, sodium, and/or sugar. In addition, the NRI embedded in food advertisements tended to be misleading or inaccurate. Prime-time television shows included numerous NRI containing scenes every hour, with situation comedies having the most and real-life re-enactment shows the least. Overall, low nutrient density foods accounted for approximately 40 percent or more of all food references on prime-time television shows. In television shows, foods were mostly consumed as snacks rather than meals and children often ate more nutritious foods than adults. Although relatively few studies have examined the impact of television programming on viewers, those that do exist indicate that as children watch more television, nutrition knowledge and understanding declines while misconceptions about nutrition increase. Advertising influences children's food purchase requests and subsequent purchases by adults, with the most requested and purchased foods being high in sugar, fat, and/or salt foods. Existing research indicates that television must be acknowledged as a major source of NRI and a potentially powerful influence on dietary practices.

If the message is limited time, however, these discounts are worth the extra promotion on attitudes and purchase intentions are least likely to affect the thing that was found.
This study has expanded the existing studies on the characteristics of consumers using the personal level of cultural dimensions and self-construal. As Korean are becoming more individualistic and independent, we have focused on consumer independence in self-construal. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of consumer independence on consumers' attitudes and purchase intention toward consensus claim in ads. We hypothesized that individuals with higher in independence are more likely to show negative attitudes and the purchase intention towards the ads focused on consensus claim. Two experiments revealed that consumers higher in independence, depicting consensus claim in ads reduces consumers' attitudes and purchase intention. Based on the results, we suggest that for individuals higher in independence, consensus claims in product advertisement are less effective advertising strategy which ultimately lower consumers' purchase intentions. Important theoretical and practical implications are discussed.

This study intended to investigate the concept of Clothing Involvement and Brand and to provide useful basic data for building on affective brand strategy. The purpose of this study is as follows: first, It is to measure the result of Brand Extension attitudes and Brand Extension items by clothing involvement (high involvement/low involvement). Second, It is to classify the factors of Clothing Involvement which suggested in theoretical research and to clarify correlation between clothing involvement factor and brand evaluation, brand extension attitudes. Third, It is to investigate the affect that clothing involvement, demographic variable and brand type on Brand Extension Evaluation. Subjects of this study were the adult women in Seoul, who were extracted by sampling randomly during the fall of 1995. Questionnaire was used as major method of gathering data. They were analyzed by the SAS method such as Frequency, Anova, Duncan, Correlation, multiple regression, Factor analysis. Main result of this study were as follows : 1. In brand extension attitude evaluation by high-involve group and low-involve group, quality, reputation and buying intension of brand extension attitudes showed significant difference. B brand extension attitudes and items of high-involve group was high compare to low-involve stoup. High-involve group evaluated watch, underwear, shoes and stocking of extension items highly, and there is no involvement difference of perfume, parasol, cushion. 2. In order to classify the dimension of Clothing Involvement, it was carried out factor analysis. 1 found that Clothing Involvement was composed of 4 factors, namely, interest - fashion.perceived risk symbolism. Correlation between clothing involvement and brand extension attitude was as followed; Interest factor of clothing involvement was correlated the existing brand attitude. Brand preference of the existing brand attitude was related the image of brand extension attitude, interest of advertising was the quality and the reputation-image was the buying intension. 3. For evaluation of a factor influenced on Brand Extension, it was produced multiple -regression test. Demographic variables and brand types had some influence of Clothing Involvement and Clothing Involvement had on brand extension. 27% of interest, 26% of symbolism was explained by brand types and 15% of fashion, 6% of perceived risk was explained by brand types, demographic variables. And, 10% of brand extension was explained by interest, fashion and symbolism.

This study sought to determine the influence of perceived benefits of subscription services on attitudes toward subscription services and continued use intention of them. For this purpose, the perceived benefits of the subscription service were composed of perceived enjoyment and perceived usefulness, and the personal variable, innovativeness, was set as a control variable to examine its influence. As a result of the study, perceived benefits, such as perceived enjoyment and perceived usefulness, both showed a positive influence on attitude toward subscription services and continued use intention of them. The moderating effect of innovativeness on perceived usefulness was also confirmed. The influence of perceived usefulness on attitudes toward subscription services was found to be greater in groups with low innovation propensity than in groups with high innovativeness. These results provide implications about the value of personal characteristics for the continued use of subscription services.
With the rapid expansion of smart-phone based brand app and its marketing implementations, the marketers stake much resources in the success of brand apps so that they are able to reinforce the user satisfaction and intention for repeat use. The purpose of this paper is to understand the characteristics underlying the brand applications and to analyze the usage and attitudes of the users. Self-administered survey on the research variables for respondents of 20-49 age group was conducted and the results as follow. The results are as follows the consumers are more satisfied with its usefulness, entertainment, and design attributes of the brand app. They tend to keep using a brand app that contains useful contents and great entertainment elements. Marketers thus need to reflect those elements when developing and distributing a brand app in order to meet the needs of their customers. The study results would help marketing firms find new competitive edges by providing basic insight for new competition strategies for brand app development.
Awe is recognized as an emotion linked to enhancing openness to new experiences and broadening one's cognitive perspective through the acquisition of new knowledge. This research aimed to investigate awe's impact on consumer behavior in advertising, using a 2 (emotion: awe/control) × 2 (product type: innovative/non-innovative) experimental design with 118 undergraduate students in Seoul, Korea. Findings revealed that awe-inducing advertising significantly increases product preference and positive technology readiness, particularly for innovative products compared to non-innovative ones or when awe is not elicited. The analysis of moderated mediation showed that positive technology readiness plays a mediating role in the relationship between awe induction and product preference. Notably, in the case of innovative products, awe-inducing advertising heightens positive technology readiness, subsequently increasing consumer preference for these products. These results reinforce existing literature on awe's positive effects, demonstrating its role in augmenting consumers' favorable attitudes toward innovative products. The study offers valuable insights for marketing strategies of companies promoting innovative products or services, highlighting the effectiveness of awe-inducing emotional appeals in shaping consumer attitudes towards innovation.

This study focused on the brand attitude of consumers toward social innovation companies so that they could have differentiated competitive advantage and secure competitive advantage with ordinary companies. To this end, the difference in consumer brand attitudes between products of social innovation entities and products of general enterprises was compared through blind testing. The blind test results of this study showed that there was no statistically significant difference in product properties or brand attitudes, but after the information of the after-sales product was disclosed, the information included that the soap product used as a laboratory was natural handmade soap, indicating that post-brand attitudes improved in both social innovation and general enterprise products. And after explaining the social values pursued by social innovators, the increased interest in social innovation firms compared to ordinary enterprises resulted in a statistically significant increase in brand attitudes toward social innovation enterprise products. Clear and unexaggerated information displays on product packaging can be a tool to improve brand attitudes. In addition, in order to raise consumer awareness of social innovation enterprise products, there will be a need to enhance education and promotion policies for social innovation companies at the government level, and developing self-help measures for social innovation companies to promote themselves by presenting the contents of their social values as advertising copy on their product packaging may also be another breakthrough for improving brand attitudes and increasing sales.
The purpose of this research are to forecast the demand and supply of milk in Korea, and to obtain information for attitudes affecting milk consumption, which is necessary to make a plan for increasing milk consumption in Korea. The estimation of the milk demand and production was made by the multiplicative decomposition method and the statistical function. Data on consumer were collected from 737 students who were attending primary school, middle school and university in Daejeon during the period of July 11 to July 21, 1988. The results obtained are as follows; 1. The prediction results showed that the production for milk will over supply 21,900 tons in 1,990, 70,800 tons in 1,995 by the multiplicative decomposition method and 45,400 tons in 1990, -51,500 tons in 1995 by the statistical function. 2. It was found that almost all the students awared milk as essential food-stuff of common food stuff for the Koreans. 3. Quite a few students were apt to believe that milk processors added water into fluid milk. 4. Most students showed obtaining information about the nutritional value of milk by school education and advertising of TV, Radio, and Printed media. 5. However, it was found that the advertising by TV, Radio, and Printed media did hardly give to consumers influences on the choice of a particular milk brand. Accordingly, the conclusions are as follows; 1. Need to provide consumers with well planned education programs on the nutritional value of milk. 2. Heavy brand advertising for fluid milk may mislead the understanding of consumer, since city milk is not much differentiated in Korea. Therefore the milk processors should put more efforts in generic milk promotion by reducing brand advertizement. 3. The milk processors should provide major portion of financing for generic milk promotion program.
The Korea Convergence Society. The main purpose of this study is to analyze and categorize Art Infusion, and to examine the effects of consumers' advertising on attitude and memory information. As a result, first, there were no statistical differences according to the type of recall according to the way of using famous paintings. However, the product diagnosis and advertisement diagnosticity according to the way of using the famous paintings showed positive evaluation in the reinterpreted famous paintings. Second, in the case of recalls according to the frequency of exposure to famous paintings, the exposure of famous painting advertisements was higher than that of the highly exposed painting advertisements. Third, when comparing the interaction effect on the recall of advertisements, the high-exposure advertisements reinterpreted by the camera showed the highest recall. The results of this study are expected to contribute to strategic measures that can positively change consumer memory and attitudes according to the way of using famous paintings.
