Synthesis and Photocatalytic Effect of Brookite Phase $TiO_2$ Colloidal Sol by Hydrothermal Method (수열합성법을 이용한 Brookite $TiO2$ 졸의 제조 및 광촉매 효과)

  • $TiOCl_2$를 중화시키고 과산화수소와 반응시켜 Ti peroxo 전구체를 수열합성법을 이용하여 autoclave 반응기 내에서 가열하여 $TiO_2$ 졸을 제조하였다. Autoclave 반응기 내에 압력을 가하면 브룩카이트상 $TiO_2$졸이 형성됨을 확인하였고, 중화과정에서 NaCl을 첨가하여 Ti 수산화물 격자 내에 Na 이온을 포획되어 브룩카이트상이 나타남을 알 수 있었다. Na 이온의 첨가량에 따라 브룩카이트 결정상 함량이 달라져 광촉매 활성도 달라짐을 브룩카이트상 $TiO_2$가 코팅된 박막의 기상벤젠 광분해 실험을 통해 확인하였고 미세구조, 결정성, 광흡수도률 측정하여 특성평가를 실시하였다.

High resolution 5" full color field emission displays with new aging technique

  • High resolution field emission dispplay(FED) devices of 5 inch diagonal in size are fully developped for the applications of near-future flat ppanel dispplays. Under the unique gate-switching drive scheme electron trajectory pprofiles are simulated and tested by considering leakage effects of each ppixel. Uniquely-pprinted sppacer with high asppect ratio are fabricated on real ITO glass for high vacuum ppackaging. In addition new gas aging scheme of stabilizing field emitting array are extensively investigated during the sealing and exhausting pprocess in order to pprevent oxidation effects on the micro tipp. Finally fulll color images of 64 gray scale will be demonstrated.

  • We demonstrated 2.2inch qqVGA AMOLED display drived by ultra low temperature poly-Si (ULTPS) TFT not transferred but direct fabricated below $200^{\circ}C$. Si channel was crystallized by decreasing impurity concentration even at room temperature. Gate insulator with a breakdown field exceeding 8 MV/cm was realized by Inductively coupled plasma - CVD. In order to reduce stress of plastic, organic film was coated as inter-dielectric and passivation layers. Finally, ULTPS TFT of which mobility is over $20cm^2/Vsec$ was fabricated on transparent plastic substrate and drived OLED display successfully.

Microstructures and Mechanical Properties of AZ31-(0~0.5%)Ca alloys (AZ31-(0~0.5)%Ca 합금의 미세조직과 기계적 성질)

  • Influence of Ca addition on microstructure and room temperature mechanical properties has been studied for AZ31(Mg-3%Al-1%Zn-0.2%Mn)-(0~0.5)%Ca wrought alloys, based on experimental results from metallography, X-ray diffractometry and mechanical tests. Yield strength, ultimate tensile strength and hardness of the alloys increased remarkably with increasing Ca content, whereas elongation was deteriorated continuously. Microstructural examination revealed that Ca addition efficiently refined grains of ${\alpha}$(Mg) phase and that some of the Ca dissolved in ${\beta}(Mg_{17}Al_{12})$ precipitates. The former and the latter facts are thought to be responsible for improved strength and loss of ductility of the AZ31+Ca wrought alloys, respectively.
