  • We developed a novel growth method of CNTs on metal substrate for device applications, deposited by a triode direct current plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (dc-PECVD). With resist-assisted patterning (RAP) method, we had grown CNTs on metal substrate, which were strongly bonded with metal substrate.

  • Carbon nanotube arrays were fabricated using micro molding in capillary (MIMIC) process. Patterns remained on the surface in the pattern complementary to that present in the mold. CNTs were selectively grown on the MIMIC patterned sites with a triode PECVD. And turn on field for $10\;{\mu}A/cm^2$ electron emission current was $2.2\;V/{\mu}m$ turn on field.

  • We have proposed a novel cleaning technology with organic nanoparticles for high-performance TFT array. The surface of the TFT layer becomes more hydrophilic after cleaning by the nanoparticles. This is concluded from the comparison of contact angles for the samples cleaned by various methods. It is found that the drain currents in the subthreshold and off-state regions are less than those for the TFTs cleaned with conventional method.

  • Dispersion of arc-discharged single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) has been accomplished by a water soluble polymer wrapping functionalization at room temperature. The treated SWNTs were redispersed in both aqueous and many organic solvents and the solutions were found to be stable.

  • White polymeric light-emitting devices (WPLEDs) have been fabricated from polyfluorene-based (PFO) blue and MEH-PPV polymer blending systems. A device structure of ITO / PEDOT:PSS / Blending polymer / Blue polymer / LiF / Al was employed. This structure of double emission layers showed significant improvement of white color shift phenomenon. A current efficiency of 4.67 cd/A (3,900 $cd/m^{2}$, 6.4 V) and a brightness value of 17,600 $cd/m^{2}$ at 9.4 V with (0.34, 0.35) CIE coordinates at 5 V and (0.29, 0.29) at 9 V were achieved achieved.

  • We have fabricated pentacene OTFT on ultra-thin flexible polyimide film with a rigid glass support. Polyimide film of the thickness of $10{\mu}m$ has formed on glass by spin coating from the solution. After the entire OTFT process, the OTFT exhibited a fieldeffect mobility of $0.4\;cm^2/Vs$, an $I_{on}/I_{off}$ ratio of $10^7$ and a subthreshold swing of 0.7 V/dec. The OTFT on polyimide film has been detached from the glass support and laminated on a plastic support of $130\;{\mu}m-thick$ PET film. After the detach process, in spite of the degrading of its field-effect mobility, the OTFT showed high $I_{on}/I_{off}$ as high $as{\sim}10^6$.

  • We have grown well-aligned carbon nanotube arrays on the selective areas by plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition at the substrate temperature of $580\;^{\circ}C$. The selective areas for CNTs growth can be defined by photo lithography technology. The CNTs are uniformly grown on the areas regardless of island diameters. Electron emission currents were measured in a vacuum with a diode structure at room temperature. Uniform electron emission currents were achieved with $40\;{\mu}m$ island spacing with $5{\mu}m$ island diameter.

  • Using 4,4'4"-tris(N-carbazolyl)-triphenylamine (TCTA) small molecule interlayer, we have fabricated efficient green PHOLED by solution process. The maximum current and power efficiency values of 33.7 cd/A and 19.6 lm/W are demonstrated, respectively. Results reveal a way to fabricate the PHOLED using TCTA interlayer by solution process, promising for efficient and simple manufacturing.

  • Highly efficient red and green phosphorescent devices comprising a simple bilayer structure are reported. The driving voltage to reach $1000\;cd/m^2$ is 4.5 V in $Bebq_2:\;Ir(piq)_3$ red phosphorescent device. Current and power efficiency values of 9.66 cd/A and 6.90 lm/W in this bi-layered simple structure PHOLEDs are obtained, respectively. While in $Bepp_2:Ir(ppy)_3$ green phosphorescent device, the operating voltage value of 3.3V and current and power efficiencies of 37.89 cd/A and 35.02 lm/W to obtain a luminance of $1000\;cd/m^2$ are noticed, respectively.
