반복학습제어를 기반으로 한 회분공정의 고급제어기법 (Advanced Control Techniques for Batch Processes Based on Iterative Learning Control Methods)

  • 석유화학공업으로 대표되는 공정산업의 연속공정들은 지난 20여 년간 모델예측제어를 중심으로 고급제어(APC)기법들이 도입되며 운전성 및 생산성 향상에 많은 진보를 이루었다. 이에 반하여 중합반응기를 비롯한 각종 회분공정에는 APC 기법의 도입이 아직 활발히 이루어지지 않고 있다. 이것은 회분공정의 독특한 문제점을 극복하며 원하는 성능을 보장할 수 있는 방법론이 제시되지 못한 데에 가장 큰 이유가 있다고 할 수 있다. 그러나 최근 이러한 문제점들을 극복할 수 있는 APC 기법들이 반복학습제어(ILC)에 근거하여 개발되며 회분공정 APC 환경에 큰 변화가 일어나고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이들 기법들이 다양한 실제 공정에 활발하게 적용되어 운전을 개선할 수 있기를 기대하며, ILC를 기반으로 한 최근의 회분공정 APC 연구동향을 이론과 실례를 통해 소개한다.

  • A real time process control package was developed in an INTEL 80386 based PC and MS OS/2 environment using MS-C and MS-FORTRAN. RTACS(Real Time Advanced Control System), process control computer software for distributed or centralized architectures, is a package which meets functional requirements specified for typical continuous process applications like chemical processes. The package consists of 5 parts, which are DB(data base), OCF(Operator Console Functions), CL (Control logic Library), MSM(Multitasking and Scheduling, Manager) and UAI(User Applications Interface), based upon a table and function block architecture to improve the system performance.

  • Since the advanced control technique such as model predictive control has been introduced to industrial plant, there have been many progresses in the process control. As a way to improve the control performance, the on-line process optimizer was integrated with the advance controller. In this study, a control technique which improves the control. As the number of changes by the optimizer is increased, the control performance of the proposed algorithm is improved. Its control performance is shown via an numerical example.

동적 모사를 이용한 천연가스 액화 공정에서 혼합냉매 공정 제어 연구 (A Study of Mixed Refrigerant Process Control in Liquefied Natural Gas Process using Dynamic Simulation)

  • 천연가스의 이송을 위해 현재까지 가장 효율적인 방법은 액화를 통한 운반이다. 천연가스를 액화하기 위해서는 $-160^{\circ}C$이하로 냉각시켜야 하는데, 그 방법에는 여러 가지가 있다. 본 논문에서는 가장 대표적인 액화 공정인 C3MR 공정에 대한 제어 방법에 대해 연구하였다. 천연가스 액화 공정의 제어는 천연가스 품질을 유지할 수 있는 도구이며 안정된 운전을 보장하는 수단이다. C3MR 공정을 분석하고 제어 밸브에 대한 제어 변수를 선택하고 제어 변수의 계단 응답 결과를 통해 혼합냉매의 제어 구조를 도출 하였다. 도출된 제어 결과를 동적 모사를 통해서 임의로 외란을 주어 정상상태를 유지하는 결과를 확인 하였다.

  • This paper proposes a looperless tension control algorithm which is robust to disturbance and tensional variation in rolling process using SVR(Support Vector Regression). Hot rolling process which is global technology to coil steel after continuous finishing process for welded bars followed by roughing mill process, becomes hot issue. Finishing mill process not only makes it possible to produce ultra thin steel strip(0.8 mm) but enhance the quality of terminals of coil, which increases the productivity due to faster process. Constant tension control between stands in hot rolling process is essential to enhance the quality of steel. Sensorless tension control is under research by some advanced companies to replace the conventional tension control method because in continuous finishing mill process, it is impossible to install the looper used in conventional control system. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

  • 천연가스 액화 공정은 상온의 천연가스를 상압 $-160^{\circ}C$ 이하로 냉각해서 액화시키는 공정으로, 안정된 LNG 생산을 위해서는 최적의 제어 전략이 필요하다. 제어 전략을 수립할 때 가장 중요한 작업 중 하나가 공정의 분석인데, 조절 변수의 변화에 따른 제어 변수의 변화를 파악하는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 C3MR(Propane Pre-cooled Mixed Refrigerant) 공정으로 BSU(Bench Scale Unit)를 제작하여 천연가스 액화 공정을 실험하였다. 각 조절변수의 조작에 따른 유량의 변화가 공정에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해서 냉매의 유량변화에 따른 냉매 온도 변화 및 천연가스의 온도 변화를 분석하였고, 천연가스 자체의 유량 변화에 따른 냉매의 온도 변화를 분석함으로써 3개의 조절 변수와 공정의 제어변수들과의 관계를 알아보았다. 각 제어변수들은 독립적인 요소들이 아닌 서로 연관되어 유기적인 움직임을 보였으나, 특정 조절 변수의 변화에 따라 큰 반응을 보이는 제어 변수를 확인 할 수 있었다.

Micro LED 제작을 위한 Color Filter용 잉크젯 공정 적색, 녹색 형광체 잉크 연구 (Fabrication of Red and Green Phosphor Ink for the Micro LED Color Filter Using Ink-Jet Process)

  • In this paper, in order to apply the CF (color filter) type of the micro light emitting device (Micro LED) display method, a study on the manufacturing process of red and green phosphor inks for the inkjet process was conducted. The blue light-emitting KSF and LuAG phosphors were respectively used to control the phosphor particle size to about 1㎛, and a phosphor ink was prepared by synthesizing with a low-viscosity solution (IPA/Eg). A chemical dispersion method was applied to selectively control the dispersion characteristics in the manufacture of phosphor inks, and in particular, phosphor inks with a dispersant applied a dispersant secured stable dispersion characteristic compared to phosphor inks without a dispersion process. Therefore, it seems possible to manufacture CF for Micro LED through an inkjet process capable of controlling the dispersion characteristics of phosphor ink.

기능블록 구성에 의한 공정제어 언어의 개발 (Development of a Process Control Language Using Function Block Configuration)

  • A process control language is developed using function block configuration, to simplify software development for large scale process control systems, and to implement advanced control algorithms with ease. A function block parser and controller is implemented to be suitable for multi-loop control systems having hierachical structure. On-line change of controller parameter is possible, and inclusion of user defined function block is also possible. By adding plant model block, control performance can be checked in advance. Function blocks of the Smith Predicotor, auto-tuners are implemented to demonstrate usefulness of function block configuration.

  • This paper describes the design and implementation techniques of a generic Internet based telerobotic system. The purpose is to make precious technical information and hands-on experience of the authors widely available for the research community. The paper is based on the telerobotics system that the authors recently implemented between KAIST and Saga University, Japan. In its current functionality, two control modes can be exercised; high-level supervisory control, and low-level supervisory control.

APID공정 내 공정진단을 위한 dynamic $\bar{x}$-R 관리도의 적용 (Application of Dynamic $\bar{x}$-R Control Chart for Advanced Phase Isolation Ditch (APID) Process)

  • Advanced Phase Isolation Ditch (APID) process was studied to develop economic retrofitting technology, for the plants where retrofitting of common activated sludge process is required. In this study, to evaluate and monitor the effluent water quality ($BOD_5$, SS, T-N, and T-P) and operating conditions (Influent, SVI, SRT, and HRT) as process capable and stable parameters for treating municipal wastewater, a demonstration plant was installed and operated in the existing sewage treatment plant of P city. During this study, the average effluent $BOD_5$, SS, T-N, and T-P concentrations were 7.7, 5.6, 10.8, and 1.6 mg/L. Trend analysis of influent $BOD_5$, SS, T-N, and T-P in APID process were illustrated that APID process need for more strong APID process management on the winter session, such as developing new intermediated aeration mode, operating methods, and managements strategy. At the application of control chart, the signal of uncommon effects at APID process was determined much higher existing control chart tntr conventional control chart in this study. These results indicate that conventional control chart has been collected and determined cleary signal at only stable situation. Therefore, newly developed APID process of dynamic control chart can be one of the useful tool for monitoring and management process.
