쿼드콥터 제어 방법 고찰 (Review on the Control Methods of Quadcopters)

  • Recently, quadcopters have been popular as aerial drones. The structure of quadcopters is simpler than traditional helicopters and they are easy to construct and maneuver. Various hardware platforms for quadcopters have been developed. However, the controller design is not easy due to the requirement of 6-DOF flights using 4 rotors(control inputs)(under-actuated systems). In order to overcome the underactuation problem, various control methods - PID, LQR, $H_{\infty}$, SMC, backstepping control, and etc. - have been suggested for the control of quadcopters. In this paper, dynamic features and control methods of quadcopters are reviewed and evaluated. Future works are proposed for designing the advanced controllers of quadcopters.

태양열 시스템의 활용성 제고를 위한 축열 장치 개발에 관한 실험적 연구 (A Study on the Development of Thermal Storage Units for Efficient Utilization of Solar Systems)

  • This study has been carried out to design a number of storage units which could improve the utilizability of solar energy by offering convenient means to store it. The proposed units are systematically tested to establish their reliability in actual operations. One of the prominent features of the present storage units is that each design is meant to drastically improve the thermal response of solar systems which would definitely offer extreme convenience to whoever uses it. Also sought in the present study is to elicit ideal operating conditions during the storage and extraction phases of solar energy once it is delivered to the storage unit. The present study has confirmed the potential use of the proposed units with their applicability in capitalizing the sun's energy.

PERFORMANCE EVALUATION OF NEW SPACER GRID SHAPES FOR PWRS

  • A spacer grid, which is one of the most important structural components in a PWR fuel assembly, supports its fuel rods laterally and vertically. Based on in-house design experience, scrutiny of the design features of advanced nuclear fuels and the patents of other spacer grids, KAERI has devised its own spacer grid shapes and acquired patents. In this study, a performance evaluation of KAERI's spacer grid shapes was carried out from mechanical/structural and thermohydraulic view points. A comparative performance evaluation of commercial spacer grid shapes was also carried out. The comparisons addressed the spring characteristics, fuel rod vibration characteristics, fretting wear resistance, impact strength characteristics, CHF enhancement, and the pressure drop level of the spacer grid shapes. The results show that the performances of KAERI's spacer grid shapes are as good as or better than those of the commercial spacer grid shapes.

  • Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receivers are becoming increasingly sophisticated, equipped with advanced features and precise specifications, thus demanding efficient and high-performance hardware platforms. This paper presents the design and implementation of a Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA)-based GNSS receiver development platform for multi-band signal processing. This platform utilizes a FPGA to provide a flexible and re-configurable hardware environment, enabling real-time signal processing, position determination, and handling of large-scale data. Integrated signal processing of L/S bands enhances the performance and functionality of GNSS receivers. Key components such as the RF frontend, signal processing modules, and power management are designed to ensure optimal signal reception and processing, supporting multiple GNSS. The developed hardware platform enables real-time signal processing and position determination, supporting multiple GNSS systems, thereby contributing to the advancement of GNSS development and research.

생활한복 이미지를 활용한 캐주얼웨어 디자인 개발 (A Study on the Casual Wear Design based on the Image of the Modernized Korean Costume)

  • Costume is a formative art expressed by active human unlike the field of other living formativeness, and an expression of social actions based on a style of culture in a period. Therefore, costume has a deep connection with a mode of living and is recognized as a 'culture for living', and is more characteristic culture than all metaphysical cultures including architecture, craft, painting, and sculpture. Therefore, it expresses wearer's status or social standing, and furthermore, ideas and values of the times with aesthetic features in their form, color, materials, and pattern, so it is expressed as a mirror reflecting the phases of the times as. Korean costume had been dressed until the period of the Joseon Dynasty without a great change and started to be simplified in a simple style on the grounds of inconvenience in behaviors with the opening of an interchange of Western culture in the civilized period. And, this movement had been continued and Korean costume had been applied as an everyday dress under the name of 'Reformed Korean Costume'. Since the middle phase of 1980s, it aroused many people's interests with the introduction of designs focused on activity and convenience. In 1990's, many people had taken a growing interest in Korean costume with development of various designs keeping pace with the internationalization period and Korean Costume had been revitalized under the name of 'The Modernized Korean Costume'. And, since the 21st century, the advanced communication and full-scaled import of Western fashion have made the introduction of many fashion information in the world into Korea, affected greatly the fashion market, led consumers' sensitivity on a trend to be increased. Therefore, a design accepting a trend 'The Modernized Korean Costume' with fashions has risen. Second, this study is an attempt to suggest a revitalization method of domestic casual Korean costume brands by developing and suggesting competitive and highly value-added products with connection of practicality, variety, and highly sensitive fashion styles. For theoretical study, domestic and foreign literatures, academic journals, professional monthly magazines, and newspapers were examined. And, a process of change and features of the Korean fashion since the civilization period, and concept, features and images of casual Korean costume were analyzed, On the basis of analyzing image, features, and consumers' preference of the modernized Korean costume, a design development plan was established and 10 suits of costume were designed and made.

  • Newly proposed RG-MADS (Randomly Guided Mesh Adaptive Direct Search) has been applied to the optimal design of Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (IPMSM) which has the distinctive features of magnetic saturation. RG-MADS, advanced from classical MADS algorithm, has the superiority in computational time and reliable convergence accuracy to the optimal solution, thus it is appropriate to the optimal design of IPMSM coupled with time-consuming Finite Element Analysis (FEA), necessary to the nonlinear magnetic application for better accuracy. Effectiveness of RG-MADS has been verified through the well-known benchmark-functions beforehand. In addition, the proposed RG-MADS has been applied to the optimal design of IPMSM aiming at maximizing the Maximum Torque Per Ampere (MTPA), which is regarded as representative design goal of IPMSM.

APR+ 확률론적 안전성평가 및 대형냉각재상실사고 성공기준과 파단크기 민감도 분석 (A Study on the Probabilistic Safety Assessment and Sensitivity Analysis of Success Criteria of Large LOCA for APR+)

  • Standard design of APR+(advanced power reactor plus) was certified at 2014 by Korea regulatory body. Based on the experience gained from OPR1000 and APR1400, the APR1400 was being developed as a 1,500MWe class reactor using Korean technologies for design code, reactor coolant pump, and man-machine interface system. APR+ has been basically designed to have the seismic design basis of safe shutdown earthquake (SSE) 0.3g, a 4-train safety concept based on N+2 design philosophy, and a passive auxiliary feedwater system (PAFS). Also, safety issues on the Fukushima-type accidents have been extensively reviewed and applied to enhance APR+ safety. APR+ provides higher reliability and safety against tsunami and earthquake. The purpose of this paper is to implement probabilistic safety assessment considering these design features and to analyze sensitivity of core damage frequency for large loss of coolant accident of APR+.

  • 본 연구에서는 체계적인 공학 설계 교육을 위한 입문 과정으로 개발된 '입문공학설계' 교과목의 내용과 운영 방식을 논의하였다. 이 교과목의 목적은 후속 설계 과목 학습에 필요한 기본 설계 소양을 갖추게 하고 공학에 대한 긍정적인 호기심을 자극하기 위한 것이다. 이를 위하여 본 수업은 학생들의 능동적인 참여로 이루어지는 수업을 기본 교수 방법으로 하여 창의적 사고 능력과 팀웍기술, 의사소통기술 배양을 위한 각종 설계 및 실습 과제를 개발하였다.

  • The Cases of advanced nations which have advanced welfare policy, they have headed for the deinstitutionalization and the protection of the local society. So they have expanded and improved the various policies and welfare facilities to be able to keep daily life on the base of local area. Many problems have been caused by rising the average life span of the elderly in Korea now. Under the tendency, there have been many alternative proposals to solve the problems. One of those proposals, the deinstitutionalization theory that is rated the ideal way, is the community-based care than the care in facilities for the elderly. It shows that the most ideal facility for the care is Daycare center and that it matters the system of spatial construction and standard of the facilities. Under the undetailed Korean standard of facility design, it is very important that system of spatial construction to correspond to the needs of the users and standard of the facilities are prepared from the point of view of the standard design of the domestic facilities for the elderly. The study of the book grasps the regional present situation of the domestic Daycare center and surveys the tendency of the stay and features of occupation of the user there through some case, and aims to have a thorough grip of the spatial scale by the user's behavior. It is to utilize for a proposal for preparation of the space scale, and an institution standard corresponding to user's needs in a Daycare center.

공유경제 서비스 사례분석을 통한 협력적 라이프스타일 연구 -코워킹과 코리빙 스페이스를 중심으로- (A Study on Collective Lifestyle by Analyzing Case of Sharing Economy Service -Focusing on Co-working & Co-living Space-)

  • 본 연구는 유럽 지역을 중심으로 활발하게 운영되고 있는 코워킹&코리빙 스페이스 15곳을 유형별로 분류, 사례조사를 통해 국내 코워킹&코리빙 스페이스가 나아가야 할 방향성을 제안하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 연구방법으로는 1차로 문헌 연구를 통해 공유경제서비스의 유형과 코워킹&코리빙 스페이스의 이론적 배경을 고찰하였다. 2차로 3차 산업혁명 공유경제의 연결 선상에서 더욱 진화된 과정으로 간주하는 4차 산업혁명의 공유경제의 3대 키워드를 유추하고, 코워킹&코리빙 스페이스 15곳을 유형별로 분류하여 사례 조사를 진행하였다. 그 결과, 3가지 유형별 특성에 따라 각기 다른 목적성 중심의 특성이 나타났다. 또한, 공통으로 공동체적 특성이 두드러지며 플랫폼 자체의 커뮤니티를 통해 다양한 협업 루트를 제공한다는 특징을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구를 바탕으로 앞으로 국내의 코워킹&코리빙 스페이스의 활성화 방안을 위한 참고자료로 사용될 수 있을 것을 기대하며, 이후 진행될 후속 연구에도 도움이 되길 기대한다.
