흡기중의 수증기분압과 점화시기 및 연료 변화에 따른 스파크 점화기관의 화염 전파 특성 분석 (An Experimental Analysis of the Effects of Water Vapor Partial Pressure in Inlet Air, Spark Advance and Fuel Type on the Flame Propagation in a Spark Ingnition Engine)

  • In this study, the effects of water vapor in inlet air, spark advance and fuel type in the spark ignition engine were investigated through the experiments of combustion and flame arriving pattern analysis using ionization probe. The results of flame propagation experiment using ionization probe show that the flame which ignited from spark plug located at the center of the combustion chamber propagated faster in exhaust side than in intake side due to the mixture flow motion inducted into combustion chamber from intake tumble port at all conditions. And as the partial vapor pressure increased, the flame propagation became slower in all direction. Especially effects were greater for intake side than the exhaust side.

전파발무향심의 수직편파에 대한 특성평가 (Evaluation of the Characteristics of Semi-Anechoic Chamber for the Vertical Polarization)

  • With the rapid advance of electronic equipments and the frequent, use of them, the electromagnetic environments including EMC or EMI problems are very complicated. The radiation of electromagnetic waves from electronic equipments has strictly been controlled by the authorities concerned from many years ago. Though it is the most proper to test EMI or EMC in the open area test site, we have used the anechoic chamber in place of the test site because of its various restrictions. To achieve the purpose, in this paper, the performances of a few anechoic chambers according to absorbing materials are analyzed for horizontal and vertical polarizations respectively. Furthermore, the calculated and the measured site attenuations in semi-anechoic chamber made with ferrite grid are compared. The obtained results are to be valuable for designing an anechoic chamber.

예연소실을 갖는 점화플러그의 연소 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Combustion Characteristics of Spark Plug with Pre-ignition Chamber)

  • The new concept spark plug was developed to study its influence on the combustion characteristics of SI engine. It has pre-ignition chamber in the lower end of spark plug and flame hole, in which fresh mixture gas can be introduced without any fuel supply system. This spark plug was tested with a commercial SI engine. Fuel consumption rate, emission gas and MBT timing were measured in the engine dynamometer for various flame hole numbers, hole positions, hole sizes of the pre-ignition chamber of the spark plug. And average flame propagation speed was measured by using the head gasket ionization probe in single cylinder engine. The new concept spark plug induces fast bum in combustion compared with the conventional spark plug, and MBT(Minimum advance for Best Torque) timing was retarded about $3{\sim}5^{\circ}$ crank angle. The flame hole number, hole direction and volume of pre-ignition chamber were found to influence the combustion characteristics.

  • It is nearing the establishment of KAC(Korean Agricultural Chamber) as an institution for intensive reflection of farmer's public opinions in agricultural administration. In this study, researchers examined the management of Agricultural Chambers in France and Japan, which have experienced the action of Agricultural Chamber in advance of Korea. And discussed the anticipated change in agricultural extension taking advantage of departure of KAC. Discourses and movements to establish KAC is putting pressure the existing agricultural extension system into innovation. Taking a side view that there were little contribution of agents belonging to the existing agricultural extension agencies, the problem of restructuring agricultural extension system has assumed very serious dimensions. Therefore, agents in agricultural extension agencies should lay their own view before the probable reorganization of agricultural extension system.

  • An experimental study presents characteristics of combustion in a combustion chamber by port deactivation valve for economy and emissions standards. In order to use combustion properties data it is necessary to build some data base, which use cylinder pressure sensor, etc. Port deactivation valve has been developed to satisfy requirement of achieving sufficient swirl generation to improve the combustion. A feasibility and necessity of combustion pressure based cylinder spark timing control has been examined. So, this was obtained the Coefficient of Variation(COV) and the mass-burned(MFB). The characteristics of pressure ratio fraction is similar to that of mass-burned fraction. Using the results of the test, the effects of the combustion chamber can be improved combustion stability by port deactivation.

  • This paper presents characteristics of combustion and exhaust gas properties according to variation of the combustion chamber for economy and emissions standards. In order to use combustion and exhaust gas properties data, it is necessary to build some data base, which use cylinder pressure sensor and emission tester. A feasibility and necessity of combustion pressure based cylinder spark timing control has been examined. So, this was obtained the coefficient of variation(COV) and the specific fuel consumption(sfc). Using the results of the test, the effects of the variable combustion chamber can be improved combustion stability and be reduced exhaust emission.

전파반무향실의 특성평가에 관한 연구 - 수평편파를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Evaluation of Semi-Anechoic Chamber Characteristics -mainly on horizontal polarization-)

  • We are confronted with the serious EMI(electromagnetic interference) problems in company with the development of electronic equipments. Accordingly it is also required to construct some anechoic chambers for EMI measurement. Furthermore it is very important to evaluate the chamber characteristics in advance of its construction. For that purpose we have analyzed the characteristics by computer simulation in base on the image method, and compared the results with the measured ones. In case of 3-meter method as a result, the curved line of height pattern of open site varies similarly as that of height pattern of anechoic chamber. When we measure the electromagnetic strength and can get the height pattern curves by frequencies, we utilized it effectively because we can protect instrumental errors in measurement. On the other hand, there is a little difference in site attenuation above 700MHz. When the ferrite grid was used however, the calculated values agree well with the measured values up to 1000MHz with the exception of 30-40 MHz range. The reason is that we don't consider the antenna coupling in the low frequencies of 30-100MHz range.

SI 엔진에서의 가솔린과 액화석유가스 연료의 연소특성 비교 연구 (A Study on the Comparison of Fuel Combustion Characteristics between Gasoline and Liquified Petroleum Gas on SI Engine)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyse and compare the fuel combustion characteristics between LPG and gasoline on SI engine. Pressures of combustion chamber were measured on the state that engine speed was 2000rpm and BMEP was 2.0bar And we measured pressures of combustion chamber regarding variation of the MBT We could know that the combustion pressure of LPG fuel use engine is appeared lower than that of gasoline fuel use engine. At the lean mixture ratio area we could blow that Ignition timings are pulled very forward, and ignition timing of LPG fuel is advanced to $5\sim12^{\circ}$ CA than gasoline fuel. We learned that the value of coefficient of variation of LPG fuel is higher than gasoline fuel.

디젤 차량용 통합 연료히터와 시험챔버 구현 (Implementation of Composited Fuel Heater and Test Chamber for Diesel Cars)

  • 본 연구에서는 디젤 차량용 통합형 연료히터 및 성능검사 시스템을 구현한다. 센서와 히터가 분리된 연료히터를 히터내에 센서를 안착시켜 통합함으로써 일체형 통합히터를 개발하고 성능평가시험 시스템 개발을 통하여 시험한다. 디젤 차량은 겨울철 저온환경의 영향을 받아 엔진이 냉각될 경우 일정한 온도 이하로 내려가면 파라핀과 같은 반고체 상태인 왁싱(Waxing)물질을 형성하여 엔진시동이 잘 걸리지 않게 하는 원인이 된다. 이러한 저온시동성을 지원하기 위해 연료히터를 사용하며, 연료히터의 성능을 평가하는 시험챔버가 필요하다. 시험챔버에서 연료히터의 성능검사 항목으로 상온, 극저온, 극고온에서의 동작검사, 시험저항 설정에 따른 저항동작지연시간 및 전류동작지연시간, 온도변화에 따른 바이메탈 지연시간 검사, 블록히터의 전류 및 저항 검사, 히팅 운전검사 등을 수행한다. 이때 연료히터의 시험평가 및 평가 알고리즘을 제시한다.

  • Pressure Sensitive Paint(PSP)는 압력에 반응하는 도료를 뜻한다. PSP를 이용하여 압력을 측정 하기 위해서는 paint calibration과 PSP를 도포한 모델의 풍동실험이 필요하다. PSP는 이 두 가지의 결과를 이용한 이미지의 후처리과정을 통하여 압력정보를 포함한 이미지를 얻을 수 있는 신기술이다. 본 연구에서는 PSP에 필요한 장치 및 설비들을 구성하고 PSP를 이용하여 calibration 실험을 실시하였다. 본 연구를 통해 얻어진 calibration chamber의 설계 및 제작 방법으로 진보된 calibration 시스템을 연구할 수 있는 능력을 배양하였다.
