CANDU형 원자로에서의 증분격자상수 계산 방법 평가

  • CANDU형 원자로의 노심해석을 위해 핵연료 격자 및 반응도 설비(reactivity devices)에 대한 2군 군정수가 필요하다. 특히 CANDU형 원자로의 노심해석에 있어서 반응도 설비나 구조물은 증분격자 상수(Incremental Cross Section)에 의해 묘사된다. 현재 CANDU형 원자로의 반응도 설비의 증분격자 상수를 계산하기 위해 MULTICELL 코드를 사용하여 계산하고 있다. 그러나 weak absorber에 대해 기존의 증분격자 상수를 이용하여 계산한 반응도가는 시운전(Phase-B)조건에서의 노물리 시험치보다 다소 과소평가하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 증분격자 상수 계산 방법의 개선 방향을 모색하기 위해 SHETAN 및 MCNP 코드로 단일 격자에서의 반응도가를 계산하여 비교, 평가하였다. HCNP 계산의 결과는 조정봉(Adjuster rods)과 흡수봉/정지봉 (Mechanical Control Absorber/Shutoff rod)은 MULTICELL의 계산 결과보다 적으며, 경수영역 조절기(Liquid Zone Controller)는 크게 나타났다. 또한 SHETAN 코드를 이용한 결과는 MULTICELL의 결과보다 약간 크게 나타났다.

오일 Aeration에 따른 엔진의 마찰 및 윤활 특성에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Engine Friction & Lubrication Characteristics related with Oil Aeration)

  • This Paper presents the friction and lubrication charateristic related with oil aeration. It is well known that oil aeration occurs severe problem on lubrication system, in particular, in the engine bearings and hydraulic lash adjuster. In this study, engine tests were carried out in motoring conditions. In order to investigate oil aeration characteristics, we measured oil aeration with respect to oil temperature, oil viscosity, modified oil drain system. From the results, we concluded that aeration can be reduced by improving oil drain system and FMEP can be reduced by minimising of aeration.

  • This study evaluated the impedance characteristics of earth termination system and developed a variable frequency-typed inverter (measuring tool) for the utilization in ground design for lightning protection. The variable-frequency-typed inverter were composed of rectification part, voltage adjuster, IGBT controller and measuring part. Meanwhile, the square wave signal of variable frequency converted its frequency up to lightning surge band by using an IGBT after rectifying an alternating current (AC). It conducted performance evaluation of ground impedance of actual earth termination system by using the developed measuring tool for ground impedance and confirmed that such impedance-oriented performance evaluation was effective in the design of lightning protection.

엔진 오일의 공기 혼입과 윤활 특성

  • 여러 가지 필수적인 윤활유 성상과 함께 요즘 개발된 엔진에서 요구되는 중요한 특성 중 하나가 윤활유 내의 공기 혼입(aeration) 문제이다. 만일 윤활유 내에 공기가 일정 한도 이상 혼입되면 윤활유가 수행하는 일반 기능 중 하중을 분산시키는 압력 분산 작용과 윤활 작용 및 마찰열을 식혀 주는 냉각 작용이 제대로 되지 않아 엔진 수명과 내구성에 심각한 문제를 초래한다. 특히 현재 밸브 소음 저감 및 정비성 향상을 위해 대부분의 엔진에서 채용하고 있는 hydraulic valve lash adjuster(HLA)에 미치는 영향이 가장 심각하다. HLA는 그 작동 특성이 엔진 오일의 비 압축성을 이용하고 있기 때문에 만일 HLA 내부의 고압실에 공기가 오일에 섞여 들어간다변 밸브 시스템 강성이 떨어지게 되어 오히려 HLA 사용 목적에 반해 밸크 이상 거동에 의한 소음이 유발될 뿐만 아니라 심하면 밸브가 파단되는 심각한 현상이 초래되기도 한다. 상기한 바와 같이 aeration 현상은 경우에 따라 매우 심각한 문제를 유발하기도 하며 엔진이 고속 고출력화 하면서 그 특성은 더욱 관심사가 되어 왔다. 따라서 엔진 각 부분의 올바른 기능과 신뢰성 확보를 위해 aeration의 특징 발생 원인 및 대책을 살펴보고 특히 oil aeration이 HLA와 엔진 베어링에 미치는 영향에 대해 분석 고찰해 봄으로써 그 특성을 이해하고자 한다.

  • This paper presents a static and dynamic characteristics of the relief valve which is a kind of direct operated pressure control valve for hydrogen compressor. The valve is consisted of a main poppet, a spring, an adjuster and a valve body. The purpose of this study is development of the simulation model for relief valve by using commercial AMESlM$^{(R)}$ tool. Poppet with sharp edge seat type and ball poppet with sharp edge seat type compare for P-Q characteristic. The dynamic simulation results are presented the operating pressure characteristics of relief valve. High pressure power unit of which maximum pressure control range is 100MPa was manufactured, and the pressure control valve was experimented using the above-mentioned power unit. The new model of pressure control valve from this results was suggested. It was confirmed that the suggested valve has a good control performance from experimental setup.

Guinea pid를 이용한 Glycolic acid 및 UVB의 피부 자극성 평가 (Skin Irriation Effect of Glycolic Acid and UVB in Guinea Pig)

  • Alpha-hydroxy acid(AHA) are used in cosmetic products as a pH adjuster, mild exfoliant and humectant-skin conditioner. Cosmetics containing higher concentration (30%) and lower pH (3.0) of AHA can cause side effects if it is applied without the prescription. For providing information on the safety of AHA and on human risk assessments we studied skin irritation effect of glycolic acid, one of the most commonly used AHA in guinea pigs. The skin irritation by glycolic acid was increased in a dose(10% to 70%), acidity (pH 2.5 to 5.5.) and length of exposure dependent manner (for up to 14 days), respectively. The combination treatment with UVB (0.4 or 3.0 J/$cm^2$) increased glycolic acid-induced skin irritation. Histological examination showed that hyperplasia of non-inflammatory cells in the epidermis of skin treated with high dose of glycolic acid (pH 3.0). There results show that glycolic acid increased skin irritation in a dose, length of exposure and pH dependent manner, respectively, in guinea pig, and the combination with UVB increased glycolic acid-induced skin irritation. The cell proliferation of non-inflammatory cell may be involved in high doses of glycolic acid-induced skin irritation. Long-term application of more than 30% of glycolic acid (pH 3.0) may cause skin irritation.

피드포워드 제어를 이용한 위상차 보정 속도리플 제어기의 설계 (Design of Velocity Ripple Controller using Phase Compensation Feedforward Control)

  • In this paper, we propose a novel velocity ripple controller using phase compensation feedforward control. Velocity ripples result in many kinds of performance degradations in manufacturing machines, especially such as ultra-precision roll lathes. The generation of velocity ripple in constant velocity control comes from various causes, such as electrical torque ripples, mechanical worn out, inconsistent mass center, etc. Conventional researches about ripple is mainly for reducing torque ripple in actuator level, which is only one of reasons for velocity ripples, so in this study, we focus on eliminating velocity ripples in upper level controller using phase compensation feedforward controller. The proposed algorithm is composed of several modules, such as ripple extractor, phase adjuster and phase follower etc. The suggested algorithm can be easily extended, and it shows a superior performance in the experiments of ultra-precision roll lathes.

  • This study makes a relative comparison of the results of tensile test and quasi-static analysis using AGL(Adjuster Guide Loop) model that plays a role in adjusting the height of shoulder belt, of the components of the vehicle seatbelt system and attempts to propose a method of reducing the error rate of the quasi-static analysis technique effectively. This study selects two major factors affecting the result of an analysis, draws the result of analysis through the method of experimental design, one of the statistical techniques and understands the contribution rate of the major factors affecting the result of the analysis through ANOVA(Analysis of Variance).

2016년 요크앤트워프규칙상 구조비의 공동해손 인정요건에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Conditions for Salvage to be allowed as General Average under the YAR 2016)

  • Salvage has been allowed as general average since 1974. However, the adoption of YAR 2004 which had reflects cargo interest's position has made salvage unallowable in general average. The YAR do not have the force of a convention and only apply by mutual agreement between the parties to the contract of carriage. Thus, it is important that any changes to the Rules have the consent of major stakeholder. However, shipowners generally refuged to accept the incorporation of the 2004 Rules. The revised 2016 Rules is the result of compromise between the ship and cargo interests. YAR 2016 Rule VI has the premise that salvage is allowable as general average. However, with regard to the types of salvage that are payable independently by ship and cargo such as under Lloyd's Open Form it does not allow these type of salvages as general average and reapportion them, unless causes significantly inequitable result and meets five conditions. In addition, it makes the adjuster's task much easier as it avoids the deduction in respect of salvage payment can readily be calculated by total amount paid to the salvor. The salvage issue to be dealt with in YAR 2016 reduces the complexity, cost and delay in adjusting general average.

공리적 설계에서 트리즈를 이용한 연성설계의 비연성화 과정 (Decoupling Process of a Coupled Design in Axiomatic Design Using the TRIZ)

  • Axiomatic Design has been developed as a general design framework during past two decades and TRIZ has been developed for a design tool over 50 years. Axiomatic design is quite excellent in that design should be decoupled. When a design matrix is established, the characteristics of the design are identified according to the coupling properties. If the design is coupled, a decoupling process should be found. However, axiomatic design does not specifically indicate how to decouple a coupled design. In this research, the coupling manner is classified into six patterns. Each pattern could be solved by an appropriate TRIZ module. A table, which matches the coupling pattern and a TRIZ module, is proposed for effective application of the two design theories. The decoupling ideas are proposed by using TRIZ modules. When the number of decoupled designs is more than one, the engineer should select the final idea. The proposed method is applied to practical cases such as a tape feeder and a beam adjuster of the laser marker.
