광기능성시트 보호용 천연고무계 점착제의 점착 물성 (Adhesion Performance of Natural Rubber-based Pressure-Sensitive Adhesives for Protecting of Opto-functionalized Sheet)

  • 광기능성시트 보호용 점착제를 제조하기 위하여 천연고무와 DCPD계 점착부여수지, 세 종류의 지방족 점착부여수지를 이용하여 천연고무계 점착제를 제조하였다. 또한, 천연고무의 낮은 응집력을 대체하기 위하여 점착부여수지의 함량이 고정된 상태에서 SIS 블록공중합체를 함량비에 따라 첨가하여 점착제를 제조하였다. 제조한 점착제의 점착물성을 초기점착력과 박리강도로써 평가하였다. 천연고무/점착부여수지의 초기점착력은 점착부여수지의 함량이 증가함에 따라 증가하다 최대값을 보이고 감소하였다. 또한, 지방족계 점착부여수지의 연화점이 증가함에 따라 초기점착력이 다소 증가하였다. 점착부여수지의 함량이 50 wt%까지는 박리강도가 증가하였으나 그 이상의 함량에서는 혼합파괴 현상을 보였다. SIS가 블랜드된 점착제의 초기점착력은 지방족계 점착부여수지의 함량이 20~40 wt%에서 최대값을 보였으나 20 wt%에서 fibrillation 현상을 나타내었고 박리강도는 40 wt%에서 최대값을 나타내었다.

Metal PCB에 있어서 양극산화법으로 제작한 Al2O3절연막의 방열특성 (Heat dissipation of Al2O3 Insulation layer Prepared by Anodizing Process for Metal PCB)

  • High efficiency LED device is being concerned due to its high heat loss, and such heat loss will cause a shorter lifespan and lower efficiency. Since there is a demand for the materials that can release heat quickly into the external air, the organic insulating layer was required to be replaced with high thermal conductive materials such as metal or ceramics. Through anodizing the upper layer of Al, the Breakdown Voltage of 3kV was obtained by using an uniform thickness of $60{\mu}M$ aluminum oxide($Al_2O_3$) and was carried out to determine the optimum process conditions when thermal cracking does not occur. Two Ni layers were formed above the layer of $Al_2O_3$ by sputtering deposition and electroplating process, and saccharin was added for the purpose of minimizing the remain stress in electroplating process. The results presented that the 3-layer film including the Ni layer has an adhesive force of 10N and the thermal conductivity for heat dissipation is achieved by 150W/mK level, and leads to improvement about 7 times or above in thermal conductivity, as opposed to the organic insulation layer.

거동 부자유 노인을 위한 일회용 기저귀 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study for the Development of Disposable Diaspers for the Elderly in Need)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop disposable diapers for the elderly in need by experimenting with wearing disposable diapers and analyzing the properties of materials of these diapers. The diapers were of two different types: one was a panty type for the elderly who were bed ridden, and the other was a pad type for the elderly who had incontinence. The subjects for the wearing test of the panty type were forty who were bed ridden, and there were forty subjects for the wearing test of the pad type who had incontinence. The disposable diapers for these experiments were chosen from those already found in the market place. Four panty types and three pad types were selected. From these experiments for the disposable diapers, the first prototypes were developed, and the second prototypes were proposed by experimenting with the first prototypes. The first panty prototype was designed to improve absorbing power, and we added waist rubber bands to prevent evacuation from back leaking and a frontal tape to prevent waistline film from tearing. The first pad prototype was designed to improve absorbing power also, and we added side rubber bands to prevent the side leaking and an adhesive tape on the fore part of the bottom to prevent the diapers from moving, and made the outline of the back area curved and thin to help hide the diaper from detection thus making the wearer feel better. From these test cases and analyzing the properties of materials with the first prototypes, we gained some success, but several points on further improvements were proposed to refine the final prototypes. The second panty prototype we proposed was to make 1he length longer, especially in the crotch area to prevent excess leaking and to fit the body more snugly. Also, the second pad prototype was proposed to reduce the total thickness of the diaper, and to improve the feeling and appearance.

복합 구조 이중대역 안테나의 충격 및 굽힘 특성 (Impact and Bending Characteristics of Dual Band Composite Antennas)

  • 본 논문에서는 복합재 샌드위치 구조를 가지는 이중대역(1.575, 2.645 GHz) 안테나의 충격 및 굽힘 특성에 관하여 연구하였다. 평면형 안테나에 복합재료인 Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic, Glass Fiber Reinforce Plastic을 접착하여 기계적 성능을 향상시킬 수 있다. 시험 규격 ASTM D7137에 따라 충격 시험과 시험규격 ASTM C393, MIL-STD401B에 따라 굽힘 시험을 실시한 후, S11 및 이득 측정을 통하여 안테나의 전기적 성능과 기계적 성능을 확인하였다. 제안된 안테나는 복합재료 보강 전보다 약 4배인 충격 하중 4 kN, 약 2배인 400 N의 굽힘 하중을 견디며, GPS, DMB 대역에서 6 dBi, 4.6 dBi의 이득을 가진다. 복합재 샌드위치 구조는 구조체 또는 운송체 표면에 적용 가능함을 확인하였다.

Characteristics of Non-plasticizer PVAc Resin for Wood Products

  • The applicable scope of adhesives in the current society is broad and currently, several types of PVAc resin are sold in the market for adhesives. PVAc resin is primarily used for wood works and paper adhesion. However, the PVAc resin itself has the disadvantages that its viscosity is highly temperature- dependent and the work condition and viscosity get worse at the low temperature in the winter seasons. Although phthalate-based plasticizer is used to complement these disadvantages, adhesion strength and heat-resistance are weakened by adding the phthalate-based plasticizer and in the winter period, the amount of quantity should be increased. Also in a high-density product, it worsens the work condition by causing a rise of viscosity and delays curing and in a low-density product, it worsens the storage stability by causing separate precipitation. In addition to these, the phthalate-based plasticizer as a material of causing environmental hormones is currently restricted in the advanced countries for its amount of use and also in the domestic market, it is necessary to prepare for the situation. This study has not only eliminated the disadvantages of PVAc resin emulsion without adding a phthalate-based plasticizer of causing these problems, but also synthesized the PVAc resin for timber adhesion that is excellent in woodwork, thermal-resistance, water-resistance, storage stability, and adhesion performance. As the result, it has proven an excellent performance in thermal resistance, water resistance, storage stability, and minimum film forming temperature.

표면분석을 활용한 청동문화재 보존처리용 Paraloid B72의 용제별 특성 연구 (Characterization Study of Various Solvents of Paraloid B72 for Bronze Artifacts Conservation by Surface Analysis)

  • 청동문화재 보존처리의 강화처리제로 가장 많이 쓰이고 있는 아크릴 수지인 Paraloid B72와 용제 4종(Acetone, MEK, Toluene, Xylene)을 선정하여 각 용제별 코팅 특성을 비교 분석하였다. 코팅 전 후의 표면을 현미경과 AFM을 통해 관찰하고 박막의 두께와 코팅 표면의 접촉각을 측정하여 표면에너지를 계산하였다. 그리고 Scratch Test를 통해 코팅 박막의 접착력을, 황변실험을 통해 코팅의 지속성을 조사하였다. 그 결과 Xylene을 용제로 사용하는 것이 육안으로 보았을 때 색 얼룩이 적고 적절한 소수성과 고른 표면을 가짐을 확인했다. 또한 코팅의 조건인 박막 두께가 얇으면서 접착력이 우수하며 황변에도 안정해야 한다는 점에서도 10% Paraloid B72 in xylene이 다른 용제에 비하여 우수한 코팅 성질을 가진다는 것을 확인하였다. 그러나 Paraloid B72의 적정농도를 찾기 위해서는 더 많은 실험과 분석이 이루어져야 할 것이다.

복합재-알루미늄 단일겹침 하이브리드 체결부 강도 특성 실험 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Strength of Composite-to-Aluminum Hybrid Single-Lap Joints)

  • 본 연구에서는 탄소 복합재와 알루미늄 2024-T3 단일겹침 체결부에 대해, 체결방법을 접착, 리벳, 리벳/접착 하이브리드의 세 가지로 변화시키면서 체결방법에 따른 파손하중과 파손모드를 실험을 통해 연구하였다. 세 가지 체결방법에 대해 각각 겹침길이 3가지와 적층순서 2가지, 총 82개의 시편을 제작하였다. 접착제는 FM73m, 리벳은 NAS9308-4-03을 사용하였다. 접착 체결과 하이브리드 체결에서는 겹침길이가 커짐에 따라 파손하중이 증가하였고, 리벳 체결에서는 겹침길이에 따른 파손하중 변화가 나타나지 않았다. 단순 접착 및 리벳 체결부에서는 적층순서에 따른 일관된 경향을 발견하기 어려운 반면, 하이브리드 체결부에서는 인접층의 적층각 차이가 작은 적층판을 사용한 체결부의 파손하중이 높게 나타났다. 접착 체결과 하이브리드 체결의 주된 파손모드는 층간분리이고 리벳 체결은 국부적 베어링 파손을 동반한 리벳 파손으로 나타났다.

Ag-Pd 후막도체와 솔더범프 사이의 접합특성 및 계면반응 (Characteristics of Joint Between Ag-Pd Thick Film Conductor and Solder Bump and Interfacial Reaction)

  • 자동차 전장품의 시험환경 조건이 엄격해짐에 따라, 전장품 개발 기술자들은 이에 부합하는 성능, 신뢰성, 비용 등을 고려한 보다 효과적인 제품 설계를 위해 노력하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 ECM 알루미나 기판의 플라즈마 세척 영향과 리플로우 후 Sn-37wt%Pb 솔더와 패드 접합부 계면에서 형성되는 금속간 화합물을 관찰하였다. 기판의 플라즈마 세척은 계면 접착력을 저해하였던 C에 의한 유기 잔류물 층이 제거되어 계면 접착력을 향상시키는 효과가 있다. 또한 AFM 분석 결과 도체 패드의 표면 거칠기는 304 nm에서 330 m로 증가하였다. 리플로우 과정에서 솔더와 TiWN/Cu 패드 계면에서 형성된 $Cu_6/Sn_5$는 리플로우 횟수가 증가할 수록 결정립의 크기도 조대화되었다. 솔더와 Ag-Pd 도체패드 계면에서는 세포질 형태의 $Ag_3Sn$화합물이 관찰되었다. $Ag_3Sn$은 지름이 약 0.1∼0.6 $\mu\textrm{m}$이며, 솔더 내부에서는 침상 모양도 관찰되었다.

부품 및 벤치 실험을 통한 폴리우레탄 유압 왕복 실의 가속 실험 (Component and Bench Tests of Polyurethane Hydraulic Reciprocating Seal for Accelerated Life Testing)

  • Hydraulic reciprocating seals have been widely used to prevent fluid leakage and to provide lubricant film on counter surface in various hydraulic system. The degradation of the seal may cause the catastrophic failure of the hydraulic system. To assess the durability of the seals and the compatibility with counter surface, accelerated life testing (ALT) has been typically employed from industry. However, ALT often takes up to a few months to cause a failure of the seals, and therefore, there is a need to develop more efficient ALT methods. In this work, the degradation characteristics of polyurethane (PU) seals from field test are investigated and they are compared to those from the component and bench tests, with an aim to contribute to the development of ALT method. From the comparison of the cross-sectional profiles of the sealing surface of the PU specimens before and after the tests, both wear and compression set are found to be responsible for degradation of the PU seals. It is also shown that the major wear mechanisms of the PU seals from the field is abrasive wear and formation of pits. The component and bench tests performed in this work are shown to reproduce such wear mechanisms, and therefore, those test methods can be used as an ALT method for PU seals. In particular, the bench test proposed in this work may be effectively utilized to assess the durability and the compatibility of the seals with the counter surface. The results of this work are expected to aid in the design of ALT for PU seal.

산화제($H_2O_2$)의 첨가 유무에 따른 Ti/TiN막의 CMP 연마 특성 (Improvement of Polishing Characteristics Using with and without Oxidant ($H_2O_2$) of Ti/FiN Layers)

  • Tungsten is widely used as a plug for the multi-level interconnection structures. However, due to the poor adhesive properties of tungsten (W) on $SiO_2$ layer, the Ti/TiN barrier layer is usually deposited onto $SiO_2$ for increasing adhesion ability with W film. Generally, for the W-CMP (chemical mechanical polishing) process, the passivation layer on the tungsten surface during CMP plays an important role. In this paper, the effect of oxidants controlling the polishing selectivity of W/Ti/TiN layer were investigated. The alumina ($Al_2O_3$) abrasive containing slurry with $H_2O_2$ as the oxidizer, was studied. As our preliminary experimental results, very low removal rates were observed for the case of no-oxidant slurry. This low removal rate is only due to the mechanical abrasive force. However, for Ti and TiN with $H_2O_2$ oxidizer, different removal rate was observed. The removal mechanism of Ti during CMP is mainly due to mechanical abrasive, whereas for TiN, it is due to the formation of metastable soluble peroxide complex.
