접착부 형상이 알루미늄/폴리카보네이트 접합재의 강도에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Adhesive Shape on the Strength of Aluminum/Polycarbonate Joint)

  • Adhesive-bonded joints are widely used in the industry. Recently aircraft applications of adhesive bonding joints have been increased extensively in automobile and air industry. Because adhesives which are available for structural applications have been developed a lot and understanding of adhesive bonding has been improved so much. In this study, as the fundamental research of design of adhesive bonding joints, this study considers specimen shape are affect strength and durability of Al/Polymer lap joints. In this research, cross head speed difference were concerned to evaluate their effects on the adhesive strength. Cross head speed makes a change 0.05mm/min, 0.5mm/min, 5mm/min. The result is load-displacement diagram showed brittleness fracture tendency. Fracture tendency that is shown enough on stress distribution of trigonal single lap joint and trigonal edged single lap joint occur the inside of adhesive.

면직물의 종류에 다른 접착심지의 접착강도에 관한 연구 -실의 굵기와 조직의 세탁에 따른 변화를 중심으로- (A Study on the bonding strength of the adhesive interlining according to cotton fabrics)

  • The purpose of this paper was to identify bonding strength by weave (plain weave, twill weave, satin weave) and counts(20 s, 40s) of the face cloth cotton 100% in the course of sewing process using by cotton fabric of adhesive interlining. The results of the study was as follows. 1. With the increased laundry, it revealed that the bonding strength was decreased to some degree regardless of the kinds of face cloth. 2. the bonding strength by the counts of the face cloth appeared in order of 40 s<20 s. 4. It was observed that there are no significant differences on the adhesive strength in the cutting directions which are an inclination warp, weft, bias in this experiment.

요소-멜라민 공축합 수지의 요소와 멜라민 혼합비율이 합판의 포름알데히드 방출과 접착성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Mixing Ratio of Urea and Mlelamine on Formaldehyde Emission and Bonding Properties of Plywoods Manufactured with Urea-Melamine Formaldehyde Adhesives)

  • This study was to measure formaldehyde emission and bonding strength of plywoods manufactured with urea-melamine formaldehyde adhesives, which were made from three different mixing ratios of urea and melamine, and with four different formaldehyde/urea-melamine molar ratios of 1.0,1.1,1.2 and 1.4. The results were as follows 1. Amount of formaldehyde emission was the lowest at the first method of molar ratio(F/(M+U)) 1.0. Amounts of formaldehyde emission of experimental manufactured adhesives were lower than that of commercial adhesive. 2. Bonding strength of dry specimen was the highest at the first method of molar ratio(F/(M+U)) 1.4. Dry bonding strength of molar ratio(F/(M+U)) 1.4 was similar to commercial adhesive. 3. Bonding strength of wet specimen was the highest at the second method of molar ratio(F/(M+U)) 1.4. Bonding strength of wet specimen used by the third method of molar ratio(F/(M+U)) 1.4 was almost equal to commercial adhesive.

접착제 접합과 점용접된 버스 폴딩도어 필러의 굽힘피로강도 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on Cyclic Bending Load of Bus Folding Door Pillar including Adhesive Bonding and Spot Welding)

  • This paper is concerned with a study on cyclic bending load of bus folding door pillar including adhesive bonding and spot welding. Three specimen types were used such as spot welding, I-type adhesive bonding and M-type adhesive bonding in this study. The tensile-shear tests were carried out to evaluate the tensile-shear strength of these three specimen types. Also four-point bending tests were carried out to evaluate the static and dynamic bending load. From the results, using adhesive bonding has a better effect on the static and dynamic bending load than using spot welding. Therefore, manufacturing better structural products can be expected by applying hybrid welding using adhesive and spot welding to those.

와동벽에서 접착제의 두께가 미세인장 결합강도에 미치는 영향 (The effect of adhesive thickness on microtensile bond strength to the cavity wall)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 와동벽에서 다른 위치에서의 상아질 접착제의 두께를 평가하고, 이런 다양한 접착제의 두께와 미세 인장 강도 사이의 관계를 평가하기 위한 것이다. 여섯 개의 인간 대구치에 모든 상아질 면이 노출되도록 I급 와동을 형성하였다 3개의 치아는 filled adhesive ($Clearfil^{TM}$ SE bond)를 와동 내에 도포하였고, 다른 3개의 치아는 unfilled adhesives ($Scotchbond^{TM}$ Multi Purpose)를 도포하였다. 형광 현미경을 이용하여 접착층의 형태와 두께를 관찰하였다. 접착제의 두께는 수직 와동벽을 따라 와동 변연, 와동벽 1/2, 와동 내각의 세 지점에서 측정되었다. $Scotchbond^{TM}$ Multi Purpose와 $Clearfil^{TM}$ SE bond가 와동 변연과 와동벽 1/2, 와동 내각에서의 접착제의 두께를 재현하여 미세 인장 결합 강도를 측정하였다. 이 실험의 결과에서 두 가지 상아질 접착제 모두에서 와동 내각에서의 접착제의 두께가 와동 변연과 와동벽 1/2위치에서의 두께보다 두꺼웠으며, 와동 내각의 두꺼운 접착제의 미세 인장 결합 강도는 와동 변연과 와동벽 1/2에서의 얇은 접착제 두께의 미세 인장 결합 강도보다 유의성 있게 높게 나타났다.

사용환경온도에 따른 접착이음의 인장전단강도 변화 (Variation of fracture strength of adhesive joint according to the operating temperature)

  • Recently, use of adhesive bonding technology is increased to achieve the multi-material design for lightweight structure in automobile industry. In this paper, the fracture strength of adhesive has been studied with the single lap shear test conducted at different temperatures. The joint specimens are made from Al 5052 and SPRC 440 bonded with structural epoxy adhesive. The operating temperature has been considered up to $150[^{\circ}C]$ and the single lap shear test has been conducted with 5mm/min tensile rate. Fracture strength of adhesive bonded joint has been decreased with increase of operating temperature. The fracture strength at the $100[^{\circ}C]$ was shown about half of that at room temperature.

접착 및 기계적 프레스 접합부에서의 인장-박리 피로강도 평가 (Fatigue Strength Evaluation of Tensile-Peel Loaded Adhesively Bonded and Mechanical Pressed Joints)

  • The tensile and fatigue experiments were conducted with tensile-peel specimens for investigating on strength of adhesively bonded and mechanical press joints of aluminum sheet used in the field of the automobile industry. The combining epoxy adhesive bonding and mechanical press joining exhibits an increase in joining force as a result of interaction between static forces of the two joining methods. The fatigue strength of pure adhesive joint was measured as 91% of that of the combination of adhesive bond and mechanical press joint, suggesting that the interaction between the bonding and mechanical joining was about 9%.

홍합 추출 접착액을 이용한 바이오 티슈의 접합능력 향상에 관한 연구 (Improvement of Bonding Performance for Biotissue using Marine Mussel Extract Adhesive)

  • The adhesive performance of marine mussel extract was compared with that of the commercial medical adhesives for fastening biotissue (SIS) bandages. Joints bonded with mussel extract showed stronger strength than those bonded with other commercial adhesives. The bonding strength was much improved when the moisture in the Joint was reduced using superporous hydrogel regardless of curing time under humid condition ($37^{\circ}C$ and 91% relative humidity). Water inflow into the SIS joint seemed to degrade the performance of mussel extracts adhesive especially for the joints of short period of curing time. The strength of SIS joints coated with surgical sealant was well maintained after being exposed to water inflow.

접착제 경화시점에 따른 하이브리드 접합 파단모드 및 접합강도 평가 (Evaluation of Failure Mode and Strength on Baking Time of Adhesive for Hybrid Joining)

  • With the development of pre-painted steel sheets for automotive body application, a new joining method is required such as hybrid joining with combination of adhesive bonding and mechanical joining. The objective of this study is to investigate the effect of pre- and post-baking of adhesive bonding on failure mode and strength of hybrid joining of automotive steel sheets. Experiments show that the hybrid joining exhibits better bonding strength and displacement than conventional adhesive joining and mechanical fastening each. Comparison of pre- and post-baked hybrid joining results suggested that baking at $160^{\circ}C$ after mechanical joining was found to have higher joining properties than pre-baking condition. The prebaking condition changed its fracture mode from interfacial to button fracture. The changes in fracture mode with post-baking of hybrid joining was attributed to variation in neck thickness and undercut of joint.

복합레진과 Glass Ionomer Cement수복물에 대한 Bracket의 접착전단강도 (THE SHEAR BOND STRENGTH OF TWO ADHESIVES BONDED TO COMPOSITE RESIN AND GLASS IONOMER CEMENT RESTORATIONS)

  • If the bond strength is sufficient to resist orthodontic force, orthodontic brackets can be bonded to restorations. Orthodontic brackets were bonded to composite resin and glass ionomer cement restorations with no-mix adhesive or glass ionomer cement. The shear bond strength of adhesives bonded to restorations was studied in vitro. Orthodontic brackets were bonded to 10 extracted natural teeth, 40 composite resin restorations and 40 glass ionomer restorations. The surfaces of composite resin restorations were roughened or applied with bonding agent (Scothbond) after surface roughening. The surfaces of glass ionomer cement restorations were conditioned with acid etching or applied with Scotchbond to etched surface. The adhesive was no-mix resin or glass ionomer cement. The shear bond strength was measured. The results were as follows: 1. Orthodontic brackets could be bonded to composite resin restorations effectively as they could be bonded to acid etched enamel with no-mix adhesive. The shear bond strength was sufficient to resist orthodontic force and was not affected by bonding agent greatly. 2. The shear bond strength of no-mix adhesive bonded to acid etched glass ionomer cement restorations was sufficient to resist orthodontic force. However. the fracture risk of glass ionomer cement restorations was increased during debonding. The bonding agent couldn't increase the shear bond strength greatly. 3. The shear bond strength of glass ionomer cement bonded to glass ionomer cement restorations was lower than that of no-mix adhesive. The shear bond strength was sufficient to resist orthodontic force and was greatly decreased by bonding agent. 4. The shear bond strength of glass ionomer cement bonded to composite resin restorations was too low to resist orthodontic force.
