출신국의 사회·문화적 맥락에서 이해한 베트남 결혼이주여성의 적응경험 연구 (A Study of Vietnamese Immigrant Women's 'Adaptation Experiences', With in The Sociocultural Context of Their Home Country)

  • The present study aims to phenomenologically investigate the adaptation experiences of Vietnamese immigrant women, with in the sociocultural context of their native country. In-depth interviews with a total of seven Vietnamese immigrant women were analyzed by the phenomenological method of A. Giorgi(1997). A total of 127 meaning units and 7 themes with 17 sub-themes, which rendered central meanings that indicated situational structures, were derived. The statements of situational structures were re-categorized in accordance with the sociocultural context of their native country. As the socioeconomic aspect, "aspiration for new opportunities and a new world" and "disappointment and frustration" were derived. The aspect of familial value and culture involved "conflicts over the unilateral acceptance of differences" and "building social relationships". The aspect of female status was associated with "conflicts due to patriarchal hierarchy". The aspect of child caring involved "education as a symbolic value" and the "double-sidedness of mother identity strategy". The gist of Vietnamese immigrant women's adaptation experiences is "to grow into a subjective mother despite conflicts due to the disappointment and frustration behind aspirations".

레이저선택용융기술에 의해 제작된 금속 코어의 변연 적합도 분석 (An analysis of marginal adaptation of metal cores fabricated by selective laser sintering)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study were to analysis of marginal adaptation of metal cores fabricated by selective laser sintering. Methods: Main model was prepared and ten stone models were fabricated. Ten single metal cores were fabricated by selective laser sintering(SLS group) and another ten single metal cores using lost wax technique and casting method were manufactured(CAST group). The marginal adaptation of metal cores were analysis using by the silicone replica technique. Silicone replicas were sectioned two times. The marginal adaptations were measured using by digital microscope. Statistical analyses was performed with independent t-test(${\bullet}{\cdot}=0.05$). Results: Means of marginal adaptations were 90.3 ${\ss}{\uparrow}$ for SLS group and 65.1 ${\ss}{\uparrow}$ for CAST group. Two groups were statistically significant differences (p < 0.05). Conclusion: Marginal adaptation of metal cores fabricated by selective laser sintering were ranged within the clinical recommendation.

수축-이완과 수동신장 기법의 단기 적용이 슬괵근의 길이 적응에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Short-term Application of Contract-Relax and Passive Stretching on the Length Adaptation in Harmstring Muscles)

  • Objectives: Few studies have reported on the flexibility of the hamstrings resulting from variable stretching method, and little studies of length adaptation at 1 day after intervention. Methods: Fifty-four healthy a woman in her twenties with no history of musculoskeletal or neurogenic disorder volunteered for this study. Subjects were randomly assigned to either a contract-relax group or a passive stretching group. Methods: Hamstring flexibility was measured with a sit and reach test(SRT) (RF-D18; SPC) before, immediatly after interventions, and 1 day after interventions. Results: Flexibility scores for participants in each of the groups significantly increased from pre-interventions to immediate and 1 day after interventions. However, the length of 1 day after interventions was shorter than immediate length after interventions. Difference in length between immediate and 1 day after interventions was some shorter in the contract-relax group versus the static group but, not significantly. Conclusions: The results of this study suggest that a contract-relax is an effective length adaptation of hamstring muscles by 1 day after intervention.

  • Purpose: This study aims to explore the experience of cross-cultural communication adaptation between local and expatriate employees at PT. XX Organizational culture in the company is the most important factor to helpemployees in the company to work efficiently and effectively in order to achieve company goals. Research design, data and methodology: The analysis methods used in this research are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing a conclusion. From this collaboration, the cultural adaptations arouse due to the challenges for workers who have to work together with different cultural backgrounds. The method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection methods used is employee interviews at PT. XX with triangulation conducted on 2 expatriates and 2 local employees. Results: Studies show that successful management is highly dependent on employees adapting to local culture and work situations. This process rarely runs smoothly because the persons in intercultural interaction do not use the same language and the lack of adaptation.. Conclusions: . In order to maintain its existence, the company strives to expand its wings in the global market and establish partnerships to expand cooperation. PT. Students' college life adaptation experiences in the accelerated second-degree bachelor of science in nursing program in South Korea

  • Purpose: South Korea has expanded its accelerated second-degree Bachelor of Science in Nursing program to resolve its supply-demand imbalance in nursing, although how these students are adapting to and performing in college after admission remains unclear. Therefore, this study aimed to conduct an in-depth exploration of how Korean accelerated second-degree Bachelor of Science nursing students interact with society and adapt to college life for establishing further supportive educational policies and programs. Methods: Participants comprised 20 South Korean accelerated second-degree Bachelor of Science in Nursing students. The data were collected via online or offline in-depth interviews and analyzed using Strauss and Corbin's grounded theory and by applying a constant comparative method to achieve theoretical saturation. Results: The core category, derived using open, axial, and selective coding, was "process of the uncharted journey toward a new dream." The participants' college adaptation processes were found to involve three phases: trial and error, adjustment, and acceptance and integration. Conclusion: These findings can be used to develop, apply, test, and improve various support programs for accelerated second-degree Bachelor of Science in Nursing students and to advance the nursing profession by nurturing a workforce with diverse academic backgrounds and faster college life adaptation.

부서이동을 경험한 간호사의 간호근무환경, 대인관계능력, 그릿이 현장적응에 미치는 영향 (A Study on Impact of Nursing Work Environment, Interpersonal Skills, and Grit on Field Adaptation of Nurses Who Have Experienced Department Transfers)

  • Purpose : This study aims to identify the factors influencing field adaptation among nurses who have undergone department transfers, by examining the levels of and the relationships between their nursing work environment, interpersonal skills, grit, and field adaptation. Methods : The study involved 137 nurses who had experienced at least one department transfer within the last three years across two hospitals. Data analysis was performed using SPSS/WIN 29.0, involving descriptive statistics, means, standard deviations, independent t-tests, one-way ANOVA, Scheffé post-hoc tests, Pearson correlation coefficients, and multiple regression analysis (enter method). Results : Factors affecting field adaptation included the nursing work environment (β=.37, p<.001), interpersonal skills (β=.19, p=.021) and grit (β=.18, p=.025), with a total explanatory power of 31% (F=12.16, p<.001). Conclusion : This study contributes insights into effective nursing personnel management, offers foundational data for managing department transfers, and aims to improve the overall quality of nursing care.

Improving Visual Accessibility for Color Vision Deficiency Based on MPEG-21

  • In this paper, we propose a visual accessibility technique in an MPEG-21 framework. In particular, MPEG-21 visual accessibility for the colored-visual resource of a digital item is proposed to give better accessibility of color information to people with color vision deficiency (CVD). We propose an adaptation system for CVD as well as a description of CVD in MPEG-21. To verify the usefulness of the proposed method, computer simulations with CVD and color adaptation were performed. Furthermore, a statistical experiment was performed using volunteers with CVD in order to verify the effectiveness of the proposed visual accessibility technique in MPEG-21. Both the experimental and simulation results show that the proposed adaptations technique can provide better color information, particularly to people with CVD.

원거리 음성인식을 위한 MLLR적응기법 적용 (MLLR-Based Environment Adaptation for Distant-Talking Speech Recognition)

  • Speech recognition is one of the user interface technologies in commanding and controlling any terminal such as a TV, PC, cellular phone etc. in a ubiquitous environment. In controlling a terminal, the mismatch between training and testing causes rapid performance degradation. That is, the mismatch decreases not only the performance of the recognition system but also the reliability of that. Therefore, the performance degradation due to the mismatch caused by the change of the environment should be necessarily compensated. Whenever the environment changes, environment adaptation is performed using the user's speech and the background noise of the changed environment and the performance is increased by employing the models appropriately transformed to the changed environment. So far, the research on the environment compensation has been done actively. However, the compensation method for the effect of distant-talking speech has not been developed yet. Thus, in this paper we apply MLLR-based environment adaptation to compensate for the effect of distant-talking speech and the performance is improved.

상관방식 영상 추적에서의 추적창 적응 조절 (Adaptation of a tracking windwo in correlation-based video tracking)

  • In this paper, we propose an efficient algorithm for adaptation of tracking windwo, which improves tracking performance of a correlation-based video tracker by rejecting background effect originated from a time-varying target. Th eproposed adaptation algorithm ajdusts the size of a tracking window by using the ratio of spatial gradient power in target region to that in backgorund region, which is especially adequate for a correlation-based tracker. Experimental results for synthetic and real image sequences show that the proposed method adapts a tracking window well to a time-varying target and so greatly suppresses background effect, which makes improvement of trakcing performance.

Adaptive Feedback Linearization Control Based on Stator Fluxes Model for Induction Motors

  • This paper presents an adaptive feedback linearization control scheme for induction motors using stator fluxes. By using stator flukes as states, overparameterization is prevented and control inputs can be determined straightforwardly unlike in existing schemes. This approach leads to the decrease of the relative degree for the flux modulus and thus yields a simpler control algorithm than the prior results. In this paper. adaptation schemes are suggested to compensate for the variations of stator resistance. rotor resistance and load torque. In particular, the adaptation to the variation of stator resistance with a feedback linearization control is a new trial. In addition, to improve the convergence of rotor resistance estimation, the differences between stator currents and its estimates are used for the parameter adaptation. The simulations show that torque and flux are controlled independently and that the estimates of stator resistance, rotor resistance, and load torque converge to their true values. Actual experiments on a 3.7㎾ induction motor verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.
