This paper present a new sort of multilayer piezoelectric ceramic transformer for AC-adapt. This piezoelectric transformer operates n the second thickness extensional vibration mode. The output voltage of the multilayer piezoelectric transformer was simulated using ANSYS. As results, the maximum stress appeared at the two points where one is the middle of input and the other is middle of output side in Second thickness extensional vibration mode. And output voltage was inversely decreased by increasing number of output layers.

This paper investigates simple gray level image enhancement technique based on Genetic Algorithms and Local Statistics. The task of GA is to adapt the parameters of local sliding masks over pixels, finding out the best parameters preserving the brightness and possibly preventing the creation of intensity artifacts in the local area of images. The algorithm is controlled by GA as to enhance the contrast and details in the images automatically according to an object fitness criterion. Results obtained in terms of subjective and objective evaluations, show the plausibility of the method suggested here.

RFID security protocol is widely discussed as an important issue, while the mutual authentication with the security agreement is mostly discussed enthusiastically. In this paper we improve HB family to achieve the property of mutual authentication, so that the user privacy can be protected. The future direction is to adapt the protocol for cloud computing.

The paper is extending output feedback nonlinear control and backstepping approaches to a class of systems approximately diffeomorphic to output feedback systems. The uncertainties under consideration are of two types - parametric and non-parametric. The non-parametric terms are assumed to be bounded by unknown constants. The backstepping procedure is applied to adapt with respect to both parametric uncertainties and the upper bound of non-parametric uncertainties.

The challenge is to control unstable nonlinear dynamic systems using only sparse feedback from the environment concerning its performance. The design of such controllers can be achieved by evolving neural networks. An evolutionary approach to train neural networks in realtime is proposed. Evolutionary strategies adapt the weights of neural networks and the threshold values of neuron's synapses. The proposed method has been successfully implemented for pole balancing problem.

Water regulators in New Zealand have recognised the need to adapt water allocation regimes and water permit conditions to reflect the likelihood of lower catchment yield on the east coast from 2030 due to climate change. Water management mechanisms to protect the environment and maintain the reliability of other water users are currently being applied or assessed in Marlborough province. These include seasonal water quota based on spring aquifer status, linking water use to environmental triggers to avoid seawater intrusion or spring depletion; and redefining water permit entitlements to account for recharge variability.

Immoral and unethical cases are reported in newspapers and on TV every day, and the number of serious juvenile problems such as suicide, truanting and extreme egoism has been increasing. Therefore, through our counseling system, we can select some students who are at risk of causing juvenile problems such as delinquency and absenteeism. Moreover we can prevent the students from causing these problems and help the students adapt better to school circumstances.

We consider the comparison of two one-parameter exponential distributions with the complete data as well as the type II censored data. We adapt Bayesian test procedure for nested hypothesis based on the Bayesian reference criterion. Specifically we derive the expression for the Bayesian reference criterion to solve our problem. Also we provide numerical examples using simulated data sets to illustrate our results.

Electro sensitive traffic system can't consider passenger car unit, so, it causes start up delay time and passenger waiting time. In this paper, it antecedently creates optimal traffic cycle of passenger car unit at the bottom traffic intersection. But, sometimes it can make mistakes due to changes in car weight, car speed, and control of feed-back data. Moreover, to prevent spillback, it can adapt control even though upper traffic intersection has a different saturation rate, road length, road slope and road width.
