In this paper, we developed a vehicle condition monitoring system that checks vehicle conditions, and transmits and displays them to a driver for safety and effective maintenance. We used a CAN controller and transceiver to establish the CAN communication that has been used commonly inside an actual vehicle for the collection of vehicle's status information. To validate the operation of the developed system, we have confirmed the accuracy and stability of data transmission and reception of vehicle information.

In laboratories, researchers frequently work using new methods with new tools and materials. So the workers in laboratories are exposed to risk from dangerous articles all the time. In the case of university laboratories, testing is done by the individual at night. Because of that, the risks in university laboratories are higher than in other places. In addition, students and managers in universities generally have little concern for laboratory safety. So students are sometimes injured or killed in laboratory accidents. In this study, 1,000 university students answered questions about university laboratory safety. Their answers have been analyzed to determine the state of actual conditions and to formulate countermeasures. The results indicate that we need to change the safety awareness of the universities and the students. Adequate safety training and safe practice must be implemented by each university to decrease accidents. Development of systematic safety training program suited to the specific conditions of the individual laboratory and formulation of specific counter plans should accidents occur are required.

In order to minimize casualties from marine vessel accidents that occur frequently at home and abroad, it is important to ensure the safety of the passengers aboard the vessel in the event of an accident. There is an EPIRB system as a system for disaster preparedness in the marine situation currently on the market, but there is a problem that the price is very expensive. In order to overcome the cost problem, which is a disadvantage of previous system, LoRaWAN-based communication is used. LoRaWAN communication-based vessel positioning and risk detection system based on LoRaWAN communication transmits measurement data of each module using two Beacon and GPS modules to stably perform position measurement for both indoor and outdoor situations. The rider danger situation detection system can detect the safety status of the rider using the 3-axis acceleration sensor, collect data from the rider positioning system and the rider safety status detection system, and send to server using LoRa communication. When conducting communication experiments in the long-distance maritime situation and actual communication experiments using the implemented system, it was found that the two experiments showed over 90% communication success rate on average.

Among all industries, the construction industry still remains a traditional one with low productivity due to its labor-intensive and field-dependent production system, its supplier-oriented industrial structure, and the disruption of the information flow between participants. In addition, the construction industry in South Korea has recently been required to transform itself according to social trends such as aging, the reduction of skilled workers, and the shortening of working hours, and the disaster and death rates in the industry, which are more than twice as high as those in other industries, are making it more necessary to solve chronic safety problems. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to grasp the actual condition of safety management on construction sites in South Korea and analyze cases of K-smart technology utilization for preventing safety accidents on construction sites. The study investigated and analyzed the following. First, construction sites in South Korea were analyzed by type of safety accident, by type of construction, and by construction contract amount. Second, the current status of accidents on small-sized construction sites with a high fatal accident rate and cases of safety accidents on construction sites were investigated. The results of the study are expected to contribute to the dissemination and spread of smart safety technology for not only identifying major factors in safety accidents that occur on construction sites but also preventing workers from suffering accidents.

재난에 대한 선제적 대응과 예방이 제대로 이루어지기 위해서는 재난안전 기록정보자원을 체계적으로 수집하고, 보존하여 관리 및 활용할 수 있는 기반을 마련할 필요가 있다. 이에 본 연구는 재난안전 유관기관들이 실제 생산한 기록정보자원 중 온라인 상에 공개된 텍스트 기반의 문서기록자료의 유형과 현황을 분석한 후, 이들 문서기록에 기술되어 있는 재난정보와 그 유형이 무엇인지 분석하였다. 또한 재난안전정보 아카이브 구축 관련한 현장인터뷰를 통해 실제 사용자들의 요구사항을 수렴하였다. 이를 통해 기존 재난안전관련 기록정보자원의 관리체계 개선방안을 도출하여 재난안전정보 아카이브 구축을 위한 토대를 마련하고자 한다.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the concept of nurses' safety within the context of the hospital environment. Methods: We used Rodgers' method of evolutionary concept analysis and reviewed the relevant literature and noted and categorized characteristics that appeared frequently. Results: Nurses' safety was defined as safe status and safe activity among nurses. Three key defining attributes were identified as: (a) the minimization of actual or perceived risk, (b) personal duties and rights, and (c) ensuring within a safe working environment. Antecedents of nurses' safety were categorized into three dimensions: (a) individual, including vigilance and knowledge gained through education and training; (b) institutional, including safety provision in the organizations; and (c) national, including legislation. The outcomes of nurses' safety included the following: (a) continued competence in nurses' work; (b) enhancement of the quality of patient care; and (c) reductions in nurses' turnover rates. Conclusion: Nurses' safety ensures that qualified nurses are able to continue to perform their duties and provide good patient care. The findings of this study could contribute to future research examining nurses' safety. In addition, appropriate tools must be developed to measure the concept.

최근 소방안전 서비스는 위험의 사전방지와 일상생활에서 느끼는 생활안전 업무까지 확대되고 있다. 본 연구는 생활안전의 이론적 탐색과 119생활안전대의 실태분석을 바탕으로 소방공무원과 경기도민을 대상으로 설문조사의 결과를 토대로 소방조직의 효과적인 생활안전서비스 방안을 제시하는데 있다. 연구의 결과 지역사회의 사회적 자본 활용, 유관기관 협력관계 구축과 시민의 지지 확보, 다조직간의 협력, 긴급신고와 비긴급신고 구분, 생활안전 소방서비스의 사회안전망 역할 등을 제안하였다.

This study identified the actual conditions for safe anticancer drug management among nurses and the relationship between level of awareness and performance of anticancer drug safety regulations in terms of preparation, administration, and disposal. The respondents were 236 nurses working with chemotherapy in wards and outpatient clinics in five hospitals in and near Seoul. Safety regulations provided for the anticancer drug the Occupational Safety Health Administration (OSHA, 1999), as modified for an earlier study, were used. The results showed that the level of awareness and performance on the anticancer drug safety regulations indicate their preparation ($3.38{\pm}0.55$, $2.38{\pm}0.98$), administration ($3.52{\pm}0.46$, $3.17{\pm}0.70$), general handling and disposal ($3.33{\pm}0.54$, $2.42{\pm}0.90$) on a scale 0 to 5. Also, there were significant differences in job positions, work experience, type of preparation, and continuing education and a positive relationship between the level of awareness and nursing performance. Thus, nurses should receive continuing education on the handling of anticancer drugs to improve the level of performance following safety regulations.
