Recently, although researching and developing of safety and maintenance on domestic infrastructure facilities in KOREA are important, there has been very little research regarding on a comprehensive and integrated survey of actual condition. Therefore this study asserts the necessity of the survey process of actual condition by period planning(short-term, middle-term, long-term). The purpose of this study is to investigate current situation and to suggest the whole process method, and to establish survey process of actual condition on domestic infrastructure facilities.

The purpose of this study was to identify the actual condition of residential environment for the elderly residing in Daejeon. The data were collected through interviews and structured questionnaires. The sujects were 583 elderly people over the age of 65 in Daejeon. Sociodemographic characteristics, living characteristics, housing characteristics, neighborhood environment types, actual usage condition of neighborhood environment, relationship between sociodemographic characteristics and actual usage of neighborhood environment, actual condition of unit interior, were surveyed. The data were analyzed with frequency, percentage, χ²-test, mean using the SPSS package. The major findings were as follows. Features of unit interior which pointed generally were deterioration, soundproofing and size. Features of unit interior which need to be carefully planned were removal of height difference of entrance, removal of the thresholds, installation of emergency bell and room heating control facility. The facilities provided highly within the subject's residential environment were the eldery facility, church, hospital, bank, restaurant, beauty salon/barbershop, supermarket. and the facilities provided lowly were recreational facility, library, elderly school.

Facilities with high risk of a disaster or requiring continuous safety management are designated as class-III facility. In order to designate a class-III facility, it is evaluated based on the safety status of the facility, the risk to the building users, and the number of years elapsed of the facility, etc. and this shall be referred to the actual condition survey for the designation of a class-III facility. In the actual condition survey conducted to designate the safety status is calculated by the checklist based on the evaluation scores consisting of five stages each item, and is evaluated in three stages by 'good', 'careful observation', and 'designated review' through the average of the combined scores. Currently, the actual condition survey being conducted applies only structural stability, and the risk factors such as damage to the finish, the risk of cracking, and the type and weight of major structures are not included in the checklist for the actual condition survey, so even if experts think it is dangerous, scores cannot be reflected. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the problems of checklist of the actual condition survey for the designation of class-III facility and to propose an improvement plan for the checklist for the actual condition survey.

The purpose of this study were ; (1) to analyze the relationship between actual housing condition and housing satisfaction with socio-demographic and housing characteristics of respondents and (2) to present the device on the quality of housing environment in low-income families. The sample was a proportional, stratified, random sample of 299 low-income families in Deajeon. The major findings were as follows: 1) The wholey, actual housing conditions were not good; especially the worst conditions appeared exterior walls, roof, kitchen, bath and toilet, heating, noise, recreation facilities as play-ground. 2) Actual housing condition has been found to be related to income, tenure(rent or own), persons/room. In the relation of the socio-demographic and housing characteristics, actual housing condition, housing satisfaction, income and persons/room were found to be a significant explanatory variable in actual housing condition. And actual housing condition ws appeared to be the strongest variable in housing satisfaction. 3) Housing of the low-income families should be improved physical aspects of the environment and be reflected in need of the occupant that based on the social-welfare housing concept.

This study was designed to investigate the correlation between the degree of knowledge in regards to the importance of oral health and the smile scores as well as the correlation between their actual oral conditions and smile scores. The author surveyed the knowledge and the actual oral health condition of the subjects, 150 high school students (80 males and 70 females), and their frontal pictures were taken when they had full smiles. After evaluation of the smiles of the subjects by five dentists, the results were analysed. This study showed that there was neither a correlation between the smile score and the knowledge of oral health nor the actual oral condition. The investigation showed that the actual oral condition and care was performed well even if there were some wrong answers in the questionnaire, which asked about proper oral health. In conclusion, the smile could be related to the repetition of the habit of smiling rather than being related to the knowledge of oral health or their actual oral condition.

The purpose of this study is to know the way of practical space use and user behavior pattern at the livingroom of city apartment that is the representative residential space of modern citizen. The way of study is to compare the livingroom of model house with actual condition of livingroom, through this way, we will know that livingroom is in use as the original concept of design or not. From the research which sees consequently (1) Most of the current model houses show common kind of livingroom by using typical style and arrangement of furniture (TV, couch, table, and decorations such as pictures or other artworks). (2) Actual condition of livingroom is different from model house in furniture arrangement and in using space which is set depending on the residents' preferences and characteristics.(computer, desk, exercising equipments, and instruments etc.) (3) The actual condition of livingroom shows the various behavior pattern of space use as the actual condition of livingroom is a mixture of typical kind of livingroom and the livingroom that reflects the characteristics of residents'.

170kV GIS(Gas Insulated Switchgear) is widely used in large industrial factory-electrical facilities of private use because has many benefits. But Other equipments's failures are occurred by GIS failures and give rise economic problems to user. Therefore we will examine the actual condition of the 170kV GIS-electrical facilities of private use and are able to confirm the distribution characteristic analysis of disconnecting switchgear. In this paper, we presents the actual condition investigation of the disconnecting switchgear of 170kV GIS-electrical facilities of private use by post - failure pattern, inspection method, test equipments and so forth.

A comparison of temperature distributions along the fin length coordinate between two different fin tip boundary conditions for a circular pin fin is made by using the one-dimensional analytic method. One tip boundary condition is the actual fin tip boundary condition and fin tip temperature is arbitrarily given for another fin tip boundary condition. The value of the fin base temperature is depend on the fin base thickness and fin radius. One of the results shows that the temperature distribution along the fin length coordinate for the actual fin tip boundary condition and that for the arbitrarily given fin tip temperature are the same if the arbitrarily given fin tip temperature and the fin tip temperature for the actual fin tip boundary condition are the same.

We need to recognize the overall changes in Korean society with understanding the situation of the characteristic and actual living condition of the elderly, so to prepare efficient and active policies at the moment from aging society to aged society. Based on the 2008 national survey data of the actual living condition of the elderly and welfare need, the living condition of the elderly for household and individual information is identified and the effects on the life satisfaction of these variables are statistically analyzed. Therefore, this paper might help to establish the aged social policies with realistic validity and suitability and extend the academical understanding of Korean society.

The purpose of this study is to clarify the actual condition of real certification schools of environment-friendly architecture per ecological environment elements through extracting ecological environment elements which is possible to analyze in quantity certification standards of environment friendly architecture. As the method of this study, firstly, certification as an examination on certification system of environment-friendly architecture, summary of certification system of environment-friendly architecture and eco-school pilot model project, ecological environment elements which is possible for quantitative analysis of ecological environment certification standards were extracted. Secondly, actual condition of ecological environment elements per school grade by collecting actual data of certification schools environment-friendly architecture were analyzed. As a result, total 35 environment-friendly school facilities are clarified that the average composition ratio of ecological area ratio is 23.0% in case of this certification regardless of school grade and region.
