In this study, the conduct of underground water flow system with 3 dimensions is interpreted in order to examine closely the actual condition regarding the flow of the underground water which is forecast from the tunnel segment and the interpretation result which selects the design and the construction technique of the tunnel segment was applied. Also, an obstacle to construct that relates with the underground water flow in construction duration in advance will be able to apply with information that is necessary in order to establish the countermeasure. The objective tunnel is the BEOPGI tunnel segment that is 2 parallel tunnels that are a one-way 2 lane and the parameters of the MODFLOW model executing the boring investigation and the permeability examination were presumed. The underground water flow of the excavation tunnel inside was interpreted by the MODFLOW model using the parameters which is presumed and two values which compared with calculated value and observed value are the same almost. Also, when the underground water discharge quantify that followed in tunnel excavation tries to compare, the underground water total discharge quantity from tunnel point of start until destination was presumed as 0.0269㎥/day/$m^2$.

Virtual reality is currently mainly used in games, but is starting to be applied as a variety of media fields, such as broadcasting and film. Virtual reality provides more fun than reality, and can provide new experiences in areas that cannot be experienced in reality due to the constraints of time, space, and environment. In particular, as the social non-contact arena has increased due to COVID-19, it is being applied to education, health, and medical industries. The contents are further expanding into design and military fields. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to observe the change in distribution of load and pressure felt by the body in the flying state while wearing a short pants harness, which are mainly used in the game and entertainment industry. In the experiment, the average pressure in the flying state was measured by attaching a pressure sensor to the back and front of a human mannequin. As a result, it was confirmed that the load concentrated on the waist in the flying state was 44 N, with a pressure of 1353 kPa. The pressure distribution was concentrated in front of the center of gravity, and was measured was at 98% by the pressure sensors, with an average pressure value of approximately 15 kPa, and a pressure value of approximately 12 kPa at the back, which was measured at 67% by the pressure sensor. The results of the load and pressure distribution measurement are presented as fundamental data to improve the wearability and comfort of harnesses in the future, and are compared to actual measured pressure values by analyzing the clothing pressure in flight through virtual wear of harnesses through the CLO 3D program.
A forecast of slope behavior during catastrophic events, such as earthquakes is crucial to recognize the risk of slope failure. This paper endeavors to eliminate the significant supposition of predefined slip surfaces in the slope stability analysis, which questions the relevance of simple conventional methods under seismic conditions. To overcome such limitations, a methodology dependent on the slip line hypothesis, which permits an automatic generation of slip surfaces, is embraced to trace the extreme slope face under static and seismic conditions. The effect of earthquakes is considered using the pseudo-static approach. The current outcomes developed from a parametric study endorse a non-linear slope surface as the extreme profile, which is in accordance with the geomorphological aspect of slopes. The proposed methodology is compared with the finite element limit analysis to ensure credibility. Through the design charts obtained from the current investigation, the stability of slopes can be assessed under seismic conditions. It can be observed that the extreme slope profile demands a flat configuration to endure the condition of the limiting equilibrium at a higher level of seismicity. However, a concurrent enhancement in the shear strength of the slope medium suppresses this tendency by offering greater resistance to the seismic inertial forces induced in the medium. Unlike the traditional linear slopes, the extreme slope profiles mostly exhibit a steeper layout over a significant part of the slope height, thus ensuring a more optimized solution to the slope stability problem. Further, the susceptibility of the Longnan slope failure in the Huining-Wudu seismic belt is predicted using the current plasticity approach, which is found to be in close agreement with a case study reported in the literature. Finally, the concept of equivalent single or multi-tiered planar slopes is explored through an example problem, which exhibits the appropriateness of the proposed non-linear slope geometry under actual field conditions.

There is risk of derailment due to various factors such as vehicle-track load imbalance in curved parts, so urban railways install and operate derailing prevent guard rails. The angle-type derailing prevent guard rail is composed of various parts including the guard angle. Even if derailment does not occur, various damages occur in the components, so continuous maintenance is required. Through the damage status analysis, the components of the angle-type derailing prevent guard rail with high damage frequency were classified, and conditions for the occurrence of various damages were investigated. In addition, a numerical analysis using a precise 3D numerical model was performed to analyze the cause of the damage analytically. In order to analytically simulate the derailment situation, the static ultimate load condition was applied, and the actual drawing of the angle-type derailing prevent guard rails, rails, and wheels was used for modeling. By analyzing the results of the damage status investigation and finite element analysis, we tried to investigate the damage of the components.

The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze the air infections in middle and small hospitals with the facilities of large national hospitals that have air-borne infection isolation (AII) wards through actual condition investigation and airflow analysis simulation (CFD) and to provide basic data for prevention. The method and scope of the study are as follows. First, through literature review, data related to prevention of infection spread in domestic medical institutions were investigated. Second, we conducted a survey on the status of isolation facilities to prevent the spread of infectious diseases in large hospitals and small and medium - sized clinics in Korea. Third, airflow analysis simulation (CFD) was carried out using the isolation ward of the nationally designated inpatient ward and the data of the plane and facility system of the small clinic. As a result of the study, it is found that regulations applicable to small and medium-sized clinics are insufficient. In addition, the simulation results show that the infectious disease virus is likely to spread to other patients in the hospital.

The purpose of this study is concerned with an investigation of the actual condition of traumatic injuries of teeth and supporting structures in children to set up possible criteria for prevention and treatment of injured teeth. The materials consisted of the clinical records of 431 traumatically injured teeth of 212 children, accumulated during two years from the first of April in 1998 to the end of March in 2000, supplied from the Dept. of Pediatric Dentistry, Chonbuk National University Hospital. The incidence of injuries in boys was extremely high for permanent teeth, twice as high as in girls. Accidents to primary teeth were most common from 1 to 2 years of age and to permanent teeth were most from 8 to 9 years of age. The most common cause of trauma was a fall for both primary and permanent teeth, followed by collision. The anterior teeth in maxilla was most frequently affected by trauma in both the primary and permanent teeth. The most common type of trauma were loosening for the primary teeth, followed by luxation types which included the intrusion, displacement and extrusion and complete avulsion types. For the permanent teeth, the most common type of trauma were tooth fracture. The most common trauma of soft tissue was laceration of upper lip, lower lip and gingiva of maxilla Concerning treatment at the first visit, primary teeth with only loosening and concussion were not usually treated. Permanent teeth were often treated by crown restorations for crown fractures and by endodontic procedures for pulpal exposure. Though we could elucidate actual condition of traumatic injuries of teeth in children, we should make a follow-up survey to ensure the prognosis of injured teeth and establish the most desirable criteria for traumatized teeth in children.
Thanks to the rapid increase of the interest in the quality control of the General X-ray systems, this research proposes the direction of the quality control through comparing and inspecting the actual condition of the respective quality control in the Clinic, the educational institution and the hospital. The subjects of the investigation are diagnostic radiation equipment's in the clinic, the educational institution and the hospital around the capital. A test of kVp, mR/mAs out put test and reproducibility of the exposure dose, half value layer, an accordance between the light field and the beam alignment test, and lastly reproducibility of the exposure time. Then the mean difference of the percentage, the CV (Coefficient of Variation, CV) and the attenuated curve which are respectively resulted from the above tests are computed. After that we have evaluated the values according to the regulations on the Diagnostic Radiation Equipment Safety Administration regulations. In the case of the clinic and the educational institution, there were 22 general X-ray devices. And 18.2% of the kVp test, 13.6% of the reproducibility of exposure dose test, 9.1% of the mR/mAs out put test, and 13.6% of the HVL (Half Value Layer) test appeared to be improper. In the case of the hospital, however, there were 28 devices. And 7.1% of the reproducibility of exposure dose, 7.1% of the difference in the light field/ beam alignment, and 7.1% of the reproducibility of the exposure time appeared to be improper. According to the investigation, the hospital's quality control condition is better than the condition in the clinic and the educational institution. The quality control condition of the general X-ray devices in the clinic is unsatisfactory compared to the hospital. Thus, it is considered that realizing the importance of the quality control is necessary.

An investigation of the effects of transverse magnetic field and Peltier effect on melt convection and macrosegregation in vertical Bridgman crystal grosth of Te doped InSb was been carried out by means of microstructure observation, Hall measurement, electrical resistivity measurement and X-ray analysis. Before the experiments, Interface stability, convective instability and suppression of convection by magnetic field were calculated theoretically. After doping 1018, 1019 cm-3 Te in InSb, the temperature of Bridgman furnace was set up at $650^{\circ}C$. The samples were grown in I.D. 11mm, 100mm high quartz tube. The velocity of growth was about 2${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$/sec. In order to obtain the suppression of convection by magnetic field in the middle of growth, 2-4KG magnetic field was set on the melt. For searching of the shape of solid-liquid interface and the actual velocity of crystal growth, let 2A current flow from solid to liquid for 1second every 50seconds repeatedly (Peltier effect). The grown InSb was polycrystal, and each grain was very sharp. There was no much difference between the sample with and without magnetic field at a point of view of microstructure. For the sample with Peltier effect, the Peltier marks(striation) were observed regularly as expected. Through these marks, it was found that the solid-liquid interface was flat and the actual growth velocity was about 1-2${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$/sec. On the ground of theoretical calculation, there is thermosolutal convection in the Te doped InSb melt without magnetic field in this growth condition. and if there is more than 1KG magnetic field, the convection is suppressed. Through this experiments, the effective distribution coefficients, koff, were 0.35 in the case of no magnetic field, and 0.45 when the magnetic field is 2KG, 0.7 at 4KG. It was found that the more magnetic field was applied, the more convection was suppressed. But there was some difference between the theoretical calculation and the experiment, the cause of the difference was thought due to the use of some approximated values in theoretical calculation. In addition to these results, the sample with Peltier effect showed unexpected result about the Te distribution in InSb. It looked like no convection and no macrosegregation. It was thought that the unexpected behavior was due to Peltier mark. that is, when the strong current flew the growing sample, the mark was formed by catching Te. As a result of the phenomena, the more Te containing thin layer was made. The layer ruled the Hall measurement. The values of resistivity and mobility of these samples were just a little than those of other reference. It was thought that the reason of this result was that these samples were due to polycrystal, that is, grain boundaries had an influence on this result.
Understanding the process of spatial perception plays a significant role in the design process as well as in the use of actual spaces. The perception of spatial depth can vary according to the space composition and design even there is no change in the actual size of the space. The properties of 3-dimensional space are its width, height, and depth; however, compared to the perception of spatial width and height, little research and theories exist on spatial depth perception. The reasons may be there less interest lies in the effect of spatial depth perception than that of spaciousness or height of space. This study is an investigation of the process of spatial depth perception using an eye-tracking device with stimuli developed through Computer Graphics. A total of 44 interior design major students participated in the eye tracking experiment; and they looked at three images comprised of an identical room with only changes in the rear wall condition. The results show that a significant difference in the fixation duration per stimulus exists. In addition, a significant difference exists on the fixation duration per stimulus according to the participants' answer of the deepest space. The result of this study can help identify factors for spatial depth perception, validate the assumption on it, and provide knowledge on how to acquire desirable spatial depth by utilizing the research result.

This study analyzed the the risk of halogen lamp for pigsty heating and its fire prevention. Halogen lamps are used for keeping warm in pen because of their excellent economy and convenience. However, there is a high risk of fire due to poor safety management and exposure to animal movements. In fact, after exploring old pigsty and cattle shed, it was easy to confirm that they were exposed to fire risks. We noted this point and studied the possibility of fire by experiment due to combustible contact with halogen lamp and carelessness in use. The experiment was conducted under conditions similar to the actual use environment. After installing halogen lamps to the height used in actual pen, the temperature change was observed with infrared camera with straw, sawdust and rice husks on the floor. And assuming abnormal conditions, the experiment was also conducted under conditions the lamp dropped on the floor or combustible material came into contact with the glass tube inside the lamp. If halogen lamps were used in normal condition, there was no risk of fire. However, in abnormal use environments, smoke comes out or even ignited. Even if it is convenient for use or highly utilized, high risk of fire will require setting up fire prevention measures or regulation of use. Through in-depth fire investigation and research, we should promote the risk of fire and make efforts to prevent fire to minimize human life and property damage.
