  • The flexural vibration of aluminum beams with active and passive constrained-layer damping has been investigated experimentally to design structure with maximum possible damping capacity. Piezoelectric film is used as sensor and piezoceramic as actuator for negative velocity feedback control. This paper shows the effectiveness of active constrained-layer damping treatment through experiment, and we have carried out an experiment to study effect of beam thickness.

선박평형수 처리장치의 활성물질 농도에 관한 고찰 (Consideration on the Concentration of the Active Substances Produced by the Ballast Water Treatment System)

  • 국제해사기구(IMO)는 선박평형수를 통한 수중생물의 이동을 막기 위해, 2004년 선박 평형수와 침전물 통제 및 관리를 위한 국제협약을 채택하였다. 34개 선박평형수 처리장치가 IMO 활성물질 승인을 받았고, 이 가운데 20개 처리장치가 최종승인을 받았다. 본 논문에서는 IMO 활성물질 승인을 받은 처리장치에 대한 작용 원리와 총잔류산화제(TRO) 농도를 고찰하였다. TRO 최대 허용 배출 농도는 중화장치를 통해 낮추어 대부분 0.2 ppm 이하의 농도를 보였으나, 최대 처리 허용 농도는 장치별로 1-15 ppm으로 큰 차이를 나타내었다. 처리장치 별로 TRO 처리 허용 농도의 차이는 처리장치의 특성 및 필터의 유무와 종류 등과의 연관성 보다는 생물 사멸시험 시 생물종 특성과 수온, 탁도 등 수질 특성에 기인하는 바가 크다고 판단된다.

  • This experiment was carried out to investigate the effect of mixing ratio of soil amending materials such as peat. perlite, active carbon, and zeolite on the growth and quality of creeping bentgrass (Agrostis pa1ustris var. Penncross). The results of this experiment were surnrnarized as follows; 1.Nitrogen content of clippings was increased by the treatment of peat and active carbon. hut the other phosphorus, potassium, calcium and magnesium content were increased in addition of,5% to 10% of peat, and 2.5% to 5% of active carbon. 10% of perlite. and 4% of zeolite 2.Fast growth and good quality of bentgrass were showed at the addition of 10% peat. l0% perlite.2.5~% active carbon, and 4% zeolite But over treatment of peat and active carbon induced inhi-bition of root growth and occurrence of disease.

행동궤적의 패턴 분류를 위한 에너지 최소화 모델 (Energy Minimization Model for Pattern Classification of the Movement Tracks)

  • 본 논문은 외부 자극에 대한 생물 행동의 복잡하고 다양한 특징들을 추출하고 분석하기 위한 방법을 제안한다. 이를 위해 물 속 생물인 깔따구의 행동궤적으로부터 얻어 낸 속도 벡터의 위상영상에 적응적이고 수리적인 방법인 에너지 최소화 모델을 적용한다. 즉, 다이아지논이라는 약물이 처리되기 전과 후의 깔따구의 행동궤적의 특징을 위상영상으로부터 찾아내어 행동 패턴을 분류하고 이 약물에 대한 깔따구의 적응적 행동 특징을 추출하는 것이다. 특징추출을 위해 도입한 방법은 T. Chan과 L. Vese에 의해 제안된 개선 Active Contour 모델에 근거한 것으로 Active Contour를 진화시키는 과정에서 생성되는 에너지함수 값의 변화를 이용한 것이다. Active Contour 모델이란 주어진 영상에 놓인 커브를 그 커브에 의해 분할된 부분영상들의 에너지 값들의 합을 최소화하는 방향으로 변화하게 함으로써 영상 내 객체의 경계를 찾는 영상분할 방법이다. 깔따구의 행동궤적 데이터는 CCD 카메라를 통해 0.25초 간격으로 약물을 처리하기 전과 후 4일 간을 관찰하여 획득하고, 이 행동궤적 데이터에서 행동의 특징 요소가 되는 속도벡터 성분을 15-20분 간격으로 추출하여 위상영상을 만든다. 그리고 이 위상영상에 Active Contour를 적용함으로써 시간에 따라 감소하는 에너지 함수 값의 그래프에서 구해진 기울기 변화에 대한 수리적 계산과 분석을 통해 깔따구 행동궤적의 특징을 찾고 행동 패턴을 분류한다. 또한, 에너지 최소화 모델은 약물 처리된 깔따구의 반응적인 행동이 이에 적응하고 있음을 효과적으로 보여준다.

만성 긴장성 두통 환자에 대한 사암침 치료효과의 Pilot 임상연구 (Effect of Sa-am Acupuncture Method for Chronic Tension-type Headache;A Randomized Controlled Trial)

  • Objectives : Clinical character of chronic tension-type headache is bilateral, moderate intensity, persistent and chronic, repeating disease and CTTH is a common prevalent disease, but pathophysiology and likely mechanism remain unclear. It impedes subjective quality of life. The purpose of this research is to examine the effect of sa-am acupuncture method for chronic tension-type headache. Methods : In this randomized, single blind, placebo-controlled study, we compared active acupuncture with sham acupuncture for the treatment of chronic tension-type headache. Volunteers who satisfied the requirements were enrolled in study. Evaluation of chronic tension-type headache was measured by VAS and Headache Disability Inventory(HDI), Six point Linkert Scale before and after treatments. Results : 26 subjects finished study. There were not difference between two groups on age, sex, weight, height, blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate, Byeonjeung, sunrise of treatment. In change of VAS, there were not difference between two groups on before treatment. Before treatment per visit, VAS of 6th and 7th visit were significantly decreased in active acupuncture(each p=0.039, p=0.008) and were not decreased in sham acupuncture. In change of VAS on a withdrawing needling after treatment, VAS of 1st, 2nd, 6th and 7th visit were significantly decreased in active acupuncture (each p=0.001, 0.038, 0.035, 0.008) and VAS of 2nd, 4th and 5th, 6th visit were significantly decreased in sham acupuncture(each p=0.033, 0.032, 0.035, 0.031). In change of VAS on 2hrs after treatment, VAS of 4th and 5th, 6th visit were significantly decreased in active acupuncture(each p=0.014, 0.023, 0.027) and 5th visit were significantly decreased in sham acupuncture(each p=0.004, 0.009). In change of VAS on 4hrs after treatment, VAS of 4th and 5th, 6th visit were significantly decreased in active acupuncture(each p=0.018, 0.011, 0.015) and 5th, 6th visit were significantly decreased in sham acupuncture(each p=0.020, 0.015). In change of VAS on the next day after treatment, VAS of 3th and 4th and 5th, 6th visit were significantly decreased in active acupuncture(each p=0.032, 0.011, 0.005, 0.012) and 4th, 5th visit were significantly decreased in sham acupuncture(each p=0.001, 0.012). In change of VAS according to a current time(before treatment, after a withdrawing needling, 2hrs, 4hrs, the next day), total score of VAS was decreased more active acupuncture group than sham acupuncture group, but there were no statistical significance compared with sham acupuncture group. In change of HDI score, after treatment was decreased than before treatment in two group, but there were no statistical significance compared with two group. In change of Six point Linkert scale score, after treatment was decreased than before treatment in two group on 6th, 7th visit(active acupuncture 6th 7th each p=0.002, 0.003, sham acupuncture 6th 7th each 0.003, 0.009), but there were no statistical significance compared with tow group. Conclusion : Sa-am acupuncture treatment is effective to improve the symptoms and quality of life in patients with chronic tension-type headache.

깻잎의 active MA 소포장이 유통기간 중 신선도 유지에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Active MA Mini-packaging on Shelf-life Maintenance during Marketing of Perilla Leaves)

  • 깻잎을 active MA 소포장 후 실온(약 $27^{\circ}C$)에서 호흡, 이취 관련 물질 및 신선도 유지효과에 관한 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 저장기간 중 호흡율은 무처리 및 저산소 처리구($CO_2:O_2:N_2$=6:2:92, 0:10:90) 보다 고산소 처리구(0:30:70 및 0:50:50)에서 높게 유지되었고, 에틸렌 발생도 다소 높았다. 그러나 이취관련 물질인 아세트알데히드 및 에탄올 발생은 고산소 처리구에서 현저하게 낮았다. 중량감소율은 무처리 및 저산소 처리구에서 약 1.8%, 고산소 처리구에서는 1.4%로 낮았지만, 저장 5일째는 유사한 경향을 나타냈다. Ascorbic acid 함량은 저장 1일에 13.3mg/100g F.W.이었고, 저장 3일에 무처리구에서 8.8mg/100g F.W.으로 가장 낮았으나, active MA 처리구에서는 커다란 차이 없이 저장기간이 길어짐에 따라 다소 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 엽록소 함량은 저장 5일째는 무처리구에서 47.5(SPAD-502 unit)로 가장 낮았고, active MA 처리구에서는 약 53.0 수준으로 높게 유지되었다. 관능 평가(시각)에서 저장기간 동안 서서히 감소되어 고산소 처리구(0:30:70 및 0:50:50)에서 저장 5일에 2.8로 상품성을 유지하였지만, 무처리 및 저산소 처리구에서는 상품성을 상실하였다. 이취발생은 저장 5일에 무처리구에서는 2.6으로 매우 낮았고, 고산소 처리구에서는 3.4 수준으로 높았다. 따라서 깻잎을 active MA 포장할 경우 실온에서(약 $27^{\circ}C$) 일반 MA포장 보다는 2일정도 더 신선도 유지효과가 있었다.

두개하악장애 환자에 대한 초음파와 극초단파 심부투열치료 효과의 임상 및 근전도학적 연구 (Clinical and Electromyographic Study of the Effects of Ultrasonic Wave and Microwave Diathermy Treatment on the Craniomandibular Disorder Patients)

  • This study was performed to observe the effect of micro-wave diathermy and ultrasonic-wave diathermy on the craniomandibular disorder patients. 19 patients were classified into 12 acute and 7 chronic groups according to the duration of 6 months. They were treated with micro-wave diathermy and ultrasonic-wave diathermy for 2 weeks and pain, maximum comfortable opening, active range of motion were checked before and after therapy. Electromyographic activities of temporal and masseter muscles were also measured at physiologic rest position, clenching and mastication before and after therapy. The obtained results were as follows : 1. After treatment, pain were reduced and active range of motion and maximum comfortable opening were increased. 2. Temporoal and masseter muscle activities of post-treatment in rest position, clenching and mastication were lower than those of pre-treatment. 3. In rest position, temporal and masseter muscle activities of pre-treatment on affected sides were higher than those on unaffected sides, but there were no differences in muscle activities between affected ad unaffected sides on clenching and mastication in pre and post-treatment respectively. 4. There were no significant differences in active range of motion, pain and maximum comfortable opening between acute and chronic groups in pre and post-treatment but there were significant differences between pre-treatment and post-treatment in acute and chronic groups respectively. 5. Muscle activities of masseter and temporal muscles in acute and chronic patients were reduced in rest position after treatment.

능동 구속감쇠층을 이용한 아크형태 셸 모델에 대한 진동특성 연구 (Vibration Characteristic Study of Arc Type Shell Using Active Constrained Layer Damping)

  • The Active Constrained Layer Damping(ACLD) combines the simplicity and reliability of passive damping with the low weight and high efficiency of active control to attain high damping characteristics. The proposed ACLD treatment consists of a viscoelastic damping which is sandwiched between an active piezoelectric layer and a host structure. In this manner, the smart ACLD consists of a Passive Constrained Layer Damping(PCLD) which is augmented with an active control in response to the structural vibrations. The arc type shell model is introduced to describe the interactions between the vibrating host structure, piezoelectric actuator and viscoelastic damping. The system is modeled by applying ARMAX model and changing a state-space form through the system identification method. An optimum control law for the piezo actuator is obtain by LQR(Linear Quadratic Regulator) method. The performance of the ACLD system is determined and compared with PCLD in order to demonstrate the effectiveness of the ACLD treatment. Also, the actuation capability of a piezo actuator is examined experimentally by varying thickness of viscoelastic material(VEM).

급성 요통을 동반한 성인 측만증 환자에게 적용한 고유수용성신경근촉진법이 요부 능동 굴곡 관절가동 범위 및 일상생활동작에 미치는 영향 : 증례보고 (The Effects of PNF on Active Lumbar Flexion ROM and Activity of Daily Living for Adult Scoliosis with Low Back Pain)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of PNF on active lumbar flexion ROM and difficulty of activity of daily living for adult scoliosis with low back pain. Methods : A 23-aged adult scoliosis with diagnosed herniated lumbar disc. The patient was treated by PNF for 30 minutes a day, 2 times a week during six weeks. Active lumbar flexion ROM and difficulty of activity of daily living were evaluated by the Modified-Modified Schober test and Oswestry Disability Questionnaire every week after treatment including the pretest of the first day of treatment. Results : There were a significant improvement in active lumbar flexion ROM between pretest and the last test. There were significant decreased in difficulty of activity of daily living positive between pretest and the last test. Conclusion : PNF will be useful for increasing active lumbar flexion ROM and decreasing the difficulty of activity of daily living positive for adult scoliosis with low back pain.
