  • Main sources of increased vibrations and air noise on ship are main and auxiliary engines and ship ducts. The various ways of transfer of vibration energy and air noise in passenger cabin of a vessel require, in general case, of various methods of attenuation. The transfer of vibration energy from engines through a support requires, alongside with shock-absorbers, availability active shock-absorbers. The transfer of vibration energy and hydrodynamic noise on ship ducts requires availability, alongside with flexible muffler, active mufflers. The availability of air noise from working equipment can require, along with absorbent covers, of space systems of active noise control. In the given article it is spoken about the unified approach to formation of the block-diagram of active noise and vibration control. The complex approach permits to receive additional efficiency in reduction of noise in passenger cabin of vessels.

  • This study explored the relationship between peer support, strategies used to cope with interpersonal stressors, and social skills among 4th and 5th graders. Instruments were the Social Support Appraisal Scale, the Self-Report Coping Scale, and the Teenage Inventory of Social Skills. Results showed that children used different coping strategies by the level of peer support. Children with more peer support were more active in seeking social support and in solving peer conflict. Children with more problems in peer relationships used more avoidance strategies such as internalization and externalization. Children with a high level of social skills were more likely to use approach strategies in peer conflict while children with a low level of social skills were more likely to employ avoidance strategies. Internalization was the most important strategy in explaining inappropriate peer relationships. For girls, social skill was the most essential variable in their peer relationships.

  • The purpose of this study was to measure married women's coping behaviors according to support stress. The data of this study were obtained from 545 married women who were daughter and daughter-in-law. For analysis of data, Factor Analysis, GLM, t-test, Regression, Pearson's Correlation. The results are as follows: 1. Coping behaviors were composed seven factors that are Mental Disengagement, Venting of Emotions, Restraint, Seeking Support, Acceptance, Active Coping, Turning to Religion. 2. Among the sociodemographic variables, relation, age of mother(p<0.01), income, grown place of supporter, living arrangement(p<0.05) were variables to have influence on the coping behaviors to support stress. 3. There was high correlation between support stress and the coping behaviors. (γ=.4339) 4. There was significant different between the higher group and the lower group of support stress on the coping behaviors.

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study is to examine how a broad palette of government support measures and firms' membership in government-developed clusters are related to firms' openness in innovation processes. Design/methodology/approach - Empirically, this study analyzes the Korea Innovation Survey 2018 data on the innovation activities of 1,450 Korean R&D-active manufacturing firms in a three-year period from 2015 through 2017. Findings - The results suggest that firms engage in open innovation to a greater extent--as measured by the breadth of external collaborating partners and of the utilized external sources of knowledge--when they are provided with a broader palette of government support measures and are located in government-developed clusters. However, the effect of diverse government support measures is attenuated for firms located in these clusters. Research implications or Originality - This study contributes to the innovation literature by illuminating how firms' open innovation can be understood in a national innovation system. Moreover, it provides valuable implications for firms seeking to obtain government support and collaborate with others.

  • Paging extensions for Mobile IP was proposed to avoid unnecessary registration signaling overhead of Mobile IP. In order to support the paging function in Mobile IP, the slates of a mobile node arc divided into active on, active off, idle. The active on state means when any incoming or outgoing data session arrives to a mobile node. After data session is completed, the state of the motile node is changed into active off from active on. At this moment, the active timer starts to be operated. If the active timer expires, the mobile node moves to idle state. If a mobile node has very frequently data sessions at the same cell, the mobile node is better to move slowly into idle state. The other way, if the mobile node very frequently moves into new cell area and receives or sends little data, the mobile node is better to move earlier into idle state. In this raper, the active timer is adaptively set by the mobile nodes traffic and mobility characteristics and the paging scheme using this active timer is proposed to reduce the location registration cost.

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to examine how patients' coping style and social support affect post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in breast cancer patients who are treated with chemotherapy. Methods: The sample consisted of 134 outpatients who received breast cancer treatments at the cancer clinic of a university hospital. The collected data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, t-test, ANOVA, ${\chi}^2$-test, Pearson correlation coefficients using SPSS for Windows, version 18.0. Results: Among total, 26.9% of patients were classified into a high-risk PTSD group. In the high-risk group, a positive correlation was found between active and passive coping styles and between social support and active coping styles. Conclusion: In this study, the stronger the social support was, the more active the coping style was for high-risk PTSD patients with breast cancer. Considering the fact that cancer requires life-long self-management, strong social support could improve patients' healthcare capability. Furthermore, solid social support could effectively reduce the stress level and improve the quality of life for breast cancer patients in the high-risk PTSD group.

  • XML is the standard for storing and exchanging information in the Web. As the applications of XML become more widespread, the worts on rule-based technology are rapidly going on to support reactive functionality on the XML documents and the XML repositories. Active rules consist of event-condition-action, which automatically perform actions in response to status change of database. Therefore the feature of active rule satisfies the new needs in XML setting. In this paper, we propose not only a XML based active rule language to manage XML document automatically, but also an active rule analysis method to guarantee rule termination. Finally, we demonstrate some examples of active rule defined by the proposed rule language, and also verify the efficiency of our analysis method by comparing with another method.

  • To efficiently manage data varying over time and process event driven transactions, some of the various database applications recently emerged require database systems supporting both a temporal data model and active rule processing. There has been much progress in independent research on temporal databases and active databases, but studies on databases which support both functions, have been rare. In this paper, an active temporal rule model supporting both active rule processing and temporal data model is presented with its rule expression language. This active temporal rule model contributes to the active function extension of the temporal database, and to establishing the concept of data access events which refer temporal attributes of data in active rules.

  • Weapon system is defined as a combination of primary system and logistics support system which are evaluated by capability and operational availability respectively. Weapon system developer thought that primary system was weapon system and also only primary system was important. Recent comparison of total life cycle cost showed that logistics support system was proved to be more important than primary system. However, until now no systematic approach to logistics support system development have applied in the area of developing support system and much money was exhausted by wrong logistics support system. We need to construct a universal metric for effectiveness of logistics support system and to cut out whatever activities or support elements which do not contribute to the metrics. This study describes a new approach under the name function approach to logistics support system development and also classifies five factors of failure frequency, stock out of frequency, administrative delay time, active repair time and logistic delay time that have influence on operational availability of logistics support system.

  • As a demand of mobile network is increasing, mobile support protocols are suggested. Although HMIPv6 managing the micro mobility with MAP suggests a plan for an effectively mobile support, there has a problem of traffic concentrating. This paper propose efficient schemes of distributing the traffic concentrated on hierarchical Mobile IPv6. This proposed schemes, selecting MAP more than two, are divided by selected 'Active' and 'Passive' MAP. The proposed schemes change a state in MAP and define performance to distribute a load in MAP as the Load is occurred by traffic.
