Air Force library performs the functions of a library with respect to a specific group of Air Force. However, the development of Air Force library is beginning step, its facilities and services are not meet expectations. The analysis of operating status for entire Air Force libraries is so far not attempted. Focusing on this point, this study analysed for the first time evaluation regarding the overall operating status and activation of Air Force libraries at the levels of wing, group and squadron. The questionnaire was consisted of a total of 45 questions. The questionnaire was distributed to 101 Air Force libraries registered in currently August 2014. I was received the reply from 81 out of 101 Air Force libraries, but the responses of 4 libraries were poor, and analyzed the total 77 library responses excluding them. As the results of the analysis, this paper identified operational status and perception of activation of Air Force libraries as a whole, and pointed out the problems that have been identified regarding the operation of these libraries. Furthermore, this paper suggested concretely activation plan for the development of Air Force libraries.

This study surveyed and analyzed school library festival that is being carried out in elementary schools of Seoul region. In doing so, it carried out questionnaire and interview survey targeting people in charge of library and students who are participating in the school library festival. The findings can be summarized with such components as follows. Major characteristics of the programs of the school library festival, the impact of Decimal Classification on the festival, change of participants' interest in book, the satisfaction of library staff and students are included. Based on the findings, major suggestions were made on activation of the school library festival.

It Is time to spur on the activation of the school library based on 'The Master Plan for Promoting School Library : Making Good School Library' launched by the Korean Ministry of Education & Human Resources Development in 2002. This study is about the introduction of reading motivation and incentive programs in the school libraries in the USA. The schools in the USA have been developing activation methods of the school library through various reading motivation and incentive programs. As a matter of fact, these reading motivation and incentive programs have been expanded by the commercial assistance, computerized tests, state supports, and each school's programs based on the national reading promotions. Consequently, this research is trying to find ways of activation for the school libraries in Korea through the reading motivation and incentive programs of the school libraries in the USA.

The study is to analyze the transition process and various activities of library advisory committees in Korea. In addition the study compared activities of Korean library advisory committees to them of other countries such as USA and UK. It is found that the library advisory committees in Korea has not filled its mission and function since established in 1989. The study suggests several activation plans and scheme for the new library advisory committee.

This study, as primary research that examines the communication characteristics of the library and the perception of librarians in order to make public libraries a communication space, surveyed the perception of librarians in public libraries and made an attempt to devise activation measures for the communication spaces of the library. As a result, the communication characteristics of the library were derived to be locality, community spirit, and interactivity. In addition, the perception survey found that librarians have positive remarks about the communication spaces of the library. As it shows a high degree of awareness, the library should focus on ways to revitalize communication. First, the direction of communication must be set in order to fulfill library's new role in communication and exchange. Second, it is desirable for the library to free itself from being a quiet space and recreate it as a space for communication. Third, the library needs to exchange and connect with organizations, groups, and gatherings of the community. Fourth, it seems necessary for the library to provide support for the users' independent and voluntary communication and operation of the community.

In this study, the medical library in the hospital was investigated on the overall operation status of the service target, books, facilities, environment, staff, service, etc., and the librarian in question conducted a demand survey and recognition survey of the library, and proposed a plan to activate the medical library in the hospital in the future. As a result, first, to increase the status of the library by the medical library in the hospital performing its role and improving the quality of the library's service, it should be divided into the independent organization in the organization. Second, it is necessary to establish legal standards for collection, size, and manpower for medical libraries in hospitals. Third, in order to systematically manage medical libraries in hospitals, professional librarians should be supported and personnel should be recruited so that library-specific tasks and administrative tasks can be distinguished. Fourth, it seems that policies to support the medical library in the hospital, such as budget support at the national level, librarian specialization education, development of operation guidelines, network activation with other libraries are needed.

The first part of this paper clarified the importance of teacher's role in activating the school library. In the second pan, the major of this paper, the state of the art of school libraries and the perception of teachers managing school libraries without librarian certificate were investigated by questionnaire. The questionnaire to middle school and high school was planed to survey the functions, the management problems, and the improvement of school library. The followings were analyzed in more detail ; the characteristics of school library teacher, the actual condition of the library, the recognition on school library of teachers and principals, the promotion plans fer library use, and the solution for management problems.

The objective of this paper is to make use of marketing in order to managerial good conducted the pursuit of public interest of the public library. The purpose of this study was to investigate the current status of the military library services and the factors for promoting the reading of the soldiers and the activation of the use of the library by investigating the perception, use behavior and satisfaction of the library users, and the usefulness of 'JinJung' library collection. For this purpose, we surveyed the users of the Army, Navy, and Air Force military libraries. As a result of the survey, they responded that they were reading to acquire new knowledge and information and to cultivate the education. The favorite reading areas were general fiction, poetry, comic books, martial arts and fantasy novels. In order to encourage the soldiers to read in the military, diversity and quantitative expansion of collections are most needed, and soldiers said they most desire to expand the books on novels, poetry, admissions and employment preparation books. In addition, in order to increase the utilization rate of the military library and the interest in reading, it was necessary to increase the accessibility of the soldiers' library and books to the military, and to increase the library use time.

This research aims to suggest the way of activation of book curation in secondary school libraries by analyzing examples of book curation and the recognition of the persons in charge of secondary school libraries. A documentary research and a survey is conducted. 192 school librarians are chosen for that survey in Incheon region secondary school. 4 teacher librarians of Incheon region secondary school and a professor of library and information science are interviewed. Also an investigation is executed by visiting school libraries. Augmentation of the persons in charge of secondary school libraries, coordinating and information sharing with educational teachers, establishment of manual for book curation operation, publishing examples of subject selection are suggested for the measure of activation of book curation.
