  • Most common applications of neural networks to control problems are the automatic motor controls using the artificial perceptual function. These control mechanisms are similar to those of the intelligent and pattern recognition control of an adaptive method frequently performed by the animate nature. In this paper, the pole-balancing problem is selected as the control object and an actual cart-pole controller is implemented by a computer interfacing and demonstrated as motor control using the reinforcement learning rule. In the experiment, given a change of the main parameters of cart-pole dynamics, a comparison is made between the LQR scheme and neural network method. The neural network method exhibits a more effecftive control action in a real situation having a large uncertainty than the LQR scheme.

  • Diffuse pollution has been considering as a major source of the quality deterioration of water resources. The establishment of riparian vegetation strips or buffers along those areas of water bodies is used to reduce the threat of diffuse pollution. Remote sensing offers a means by which critical areas could be identified, so that subsequent action toward the establishment of riparian zones can be taken. On the behalf of KOMPSAT-2 satellite imagery as a high resolution spatial data, Landsat TM satellite data are used to aquire the land cover for the riparian buffers studied. This investigation aims to assess the riparian buffers established on the upper Geum river as a pollution mitigation. Through comparing the delineation of riparian buffer zones developed with the existing zones established by the government, we can find the critical distortion points of the existing riparian buffer zone.

  • The importance of perceived quality and brand loyalty is increasing recently both domestic and foreign. So many papers perform research on service quality and brand loyalty. Today, there is the rapid growth in the Korean mobile telecommunications service market. But mobile telecommunications service companies don't pay full attention to customers' attitude and brand loyalty. This paper shows why Korean mobile telecommunications service companies have to focus on Brand Loyalty. This paper investigates the relationship among perceived quality, attitude and brand loyalty in the area of mobile telecommunications service.

  • Osteoporosis is the most common form of metabolic bone disease and is an important cause of morbidity and mortality in the elderly and especially in postmenopausal women. The possible beneficial action of essential fatty acids and their metabolites both in the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis needs attention. Therefore in this study, fatty acid levels of the normal groups was compared with those of patients. And then star symbol plots were drawn based on the fatty acids values of patients normalized to the corresponding normal group values to transform into visual patterns discriminating from the normal pattern. • The action of epigallocatechin-3-gi:lllale (EGCG). polyphenol compound from green lea, on the release pattern of glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored renal dipeptidase (RDPase) from renal proximal tubules (PTs) was examined. EGCG had a stronger inhibitory effect on the release of RDPase than alkaline phosphatase (APase), another GPI-anchored ectoenzyme used as a reference protein. The effect of EGCG on cell viability as assessed by MTT test was found to be intact, and moreover, was indicative of potent cell activation or proliferation. (omitted)

  • Over the last 70 years, South Korea has gone through countless provocations from North Korea. Provocation is something that must be delicately calculated before the actual action, since it can be extended to a serious conflict. Among the possible factors, this paper focuses on the leader's characteristic, because 1) under North Korean dictatorship, the leader's thoughts are critical influence to policies and 2) personal characteristic, especially if it is the dictator's, hardly changes even when the external circumstances change. The purpose of this paper is in analyzing the correlations between North Korean leader's characteristics and provocation pattern. First, three generations of Kim Il-sung, Kim Jong-il, and Kim Jong-un's personal characteristics will be described. Next, particular provocation features in respective leader's period will follow. Lastly, how each leader's characteristic and concerns were reflected on the provocations will be analyzed.

  • In this study, the concept of autonomous mobility is applied to a gait support mobile robot. The aim of the development of the service robot is to assist the elderly with gait rehabilitation. This study proposes an ergonomic service robot design parameter. The gait assistant path pattern is derived from analysis of the elderly gait. A lever is installed in the AMR in order to measure both the pulling force and the leading force of the elderly. The path generation of the mobile robot is developed through consideration and analysis of elderly gait patterns. The ergonomic design parameters (dimensions, action scope and working space) are determined based on moving scope of the elderly. The gait assistant mobile robot was offered the elderly guide service and internet service based on the ergonomic design parameters.

  • Innate immunity is a first line defence system in the body which is for sensing signals of danger such as pathogenic microbes or host-derived signals of cellular stress. Pattern recognition receptors (PRR's), which present in the cell memebrane, are suspect the infection through pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMP), and activate innate immunity with response to promote inflammation via inflammatory cells such as macrophages and neutrophils, and cytokines. Inflammasome are protein complexes which are part of innate immunity in inflammation to remove pathogens and repair damaged tissues. What is the important role of inflammation in disease? In this review, we are focused on the action mechanism of NLRP3 inflammasome in inflammatory diseases such as asthma, atopic dermatitis, and sepsis.

  • In today's system operation, it is difficult to detect failures and take immediate action in the case of a shortage of manpower compared to the number of equipment or failures in vulnerable time zones, which can lead to delays in failure recovery. In addition, various algorithms exist to detect abnormal symptom data, and it is important to select an appropriate algorithm for each problem. In this paper, an ensemble-based isolation forest model was used to efficiently detect multivariate point anomalies that deviated from the mean distribution in the data set generated to predict system failure and minimize service interruption. And since significant changes in memory space usage are observed together with changes in CPU usage, the problem is solved by using LSTM-Auto Encoder for a collective anomaly in which another feature exhibits an abnormal pattern according to a change in one by comparing two or more features. did In addition, evaluation indicators are set for the performance evaluation of the model presented in this study, and then AI model evaluation is performed.
