In this study of the relationships between quality of children's friendships, their self-perception and school adjustment, 434 4th, 5th, and 6th graders replied to a series of questionnaires. Girls reported higher levels of quality of friendship in the areas of emotional security, help, intimacy, and acknowledgement than boys. Boys showed higher levels of self-perception in cognitive competence, athletic ability and social acceptance than girls. Positive friendship quality and friendship satisfaction were related to self-perception and school adjustment. Variables that influenced school adjustment were social behavior, cognitive competence, global self-worth, pleasure in companionship, and athletic ability. For boys, variables which influenced school adjustment were social behavior, cognitive competence, pleasure in companionship, and global self-worth. For girls, the variables were global self-worth, cognitive competence, trust, social behavior, and athletic ability.

We address an issue of channel sharing among users by using a random assignment-transmitter-based (RA-T) spread-spectrum transmission scheme which permits the contention mode only in the transmission of a header while avoiding collision during the data packet transmission. Once the header being successfully received, the data packet is ready for reception by switching to one of programmable matched-filters. But the receoption may be blocked due to limited number of matched-filters so that this effect is taken into account in our analysis. For realistic analysis, we integrate detection performance at the physical level with channel activity at the link level through a markov chain model. We also consider an acknowledgement scheme to notify whether the header is correctly detcted and the data packet can be processed continuously, which aims at reducing the interference caused unwanted data transmission. It is shown that receiver complexity can be greatly reduced by choosing a proper number of RA codes at the cost of only a little throughput degradation.

This study purposes on continuing experimental research of furniture form creation focused on the importance and necessity for a-formal concept for designers to drift away from general acknowledgement and practice routine to design more radical forms for meeting various needs of late industrialized society, which have not been satisfied with formal and universal designs. This study covers presenting new points of view on research for designers to look for different solutions to widen their consideration in the process of furniture form development and to set up academic data base with the case studies of designers in anti-construction concept to define their experimental challenges for new design form creation, on the basis of overall research on the effects and roles of a-formal approach in the furniture design form creation.

The purpose of this study is to study how effective teachers' self reflectiveness are on enhancing mathematics teaching activities. Researcher is the object of the study and relating preceding researches, establish some instruments for study. This research was examined for six times from fifth week of March to second week of May. In order to accomplish this study, one class of the first grade of high school in Ulsan was selected. In order to define the changes of teaching activity, the first lecture was practiced without analyzing or reflective activity. From the second lecture, analyze and reflect own teaching activity with recording. After finishing all lecture, distribute the recordings to observers and other teachers and then, get measured. Based on the results, self reflective teaching makes great effects on enhancing teachers' teaching activities. Through teachers' own reflective teaching, they can know their advantages and disadvantages, repeatable was of speaking, and the acknowledgement of objectives. And, finally, they can enhance their teaching activity by reflective teaching.

Most studies of the ARQ schemes are conducted under the limited error rate of a fairly stationary channel. In nonstationary channel, error rates vary considerably and variety of error rate is wide. This paper proposes an effective Stop-and-Wait ARQ scheme which estimates the channel state in a simple manner based on the received acknowledgement messages, and can adaptively switch its operation mode in a channel where error rates vary slowly. It provides higher throughput than other comparable Stop-and-Wait ARQ schemes under a wide variety of error rate conditions.

최근의 인터넷에서의 데이터 흐름을 보면 비대칭흐름의 경향이 있다. 비대칭흐름은 주로 하향링크의 데이터 흐름이 많은 것이 특징이며 하향링크에서 데이터흐름을 저해하는 요소인 응답(acknowledgement)을 줄여나가는 기법이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 순방향에서의 TCP 패킷 처리율과 역방향에서의 ACK 패킷 처리율에 초점을 맞추어 수신된 패킷 순서번호를 TCP 버전별로 관찰해 보고, 실제로 처리된 패킷의 처리율로 비교 평가하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과로, 비대칭링크 유선망에서 Tahoe 버전이 Sack, NewReno보다 성능이 좋다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

본 논문에서는 센서 네트워크(sensor networks)의 가장 대표적인 MAC 프로토콜인 S-MAC 의 에너지 효율을 높이기 위한 새로운 ACK(Acknowledgement) 기법을 제안한다. S-MAC 의 데이터 전송 절차는 Stop and Wait ARQ(Automatic Repeat Request) 방식을 사용하기 때문에 ACK 패킷으로 인한 불필요한 에너지 소비가 크다. 에너지 효율성은 센서 네트워크의 가장 중요한 고려사항이므로 불필요한 에너지 소비를 줄이는 새로운 ACK 기법을 제안한다. 우리는 시뮬레이션을 통해 S-MAC 과 제안된 ACK 기법의 에너지 효율을 비교했다. 시뮬레이션 결과에서 제안한 기법이 S-MAC 보다 에너지 효율성이 높았다.

Despite a general acknowledgement of the importance of thorough needs analysis, a lot of training and education programmes are not considering needs analysis. When it is actually done, needs analysis is often trial and error or conducted in a fairly ad hoc manner. we are feel to needs for systematic approach to training and education needs analysis. We investigated the training and education needs for safety management system of railway manager. railway manager is just object to safety management team. we are develop to questionnaire design for safety management system in railway safety management. The questionnaire is separate to expert and a staff in charge related railway safety. We are discusses to primary needs safety management system in railway management team, and proposed to adapting training needs analysis method in railway safety.

Purpose: The purpose of this phenomenological study was to understand the job experiences of the medical aid client managers Method: The data were collected through an in-depth interview from twelve medical aid client managers. It was analyzed using the phenomenological method proposed by Colaizzi (1978). Their feedback was categorized into five items such as 'settlement in the unknown place,' 'exhaustion from work,' 'difficulties in dealing with people,' 'achievement of professionalism and accomplishment,' and 'vision on the new aspect.' Conclusion: Medical aid client managers played diverse roles and they had a role conflict due to unstable position amid feeling proud with new vision on their roles. The results of this study suggested that systematic development of job training programs and description on the duty are needed. Moreover, appropriate legal basis for the duty of medical aid client managers is to be established. Finally, based on this research, more acknowledgement from the Korean nursing society is needed for the new emerging professional job.

The queueing delay and the response time of model of the buffer insertion LAN have been derived and its performance has been analyzed in terms of the throughput rate-response time characteristic. The results show that the response time can be improved by increasing the medium data rate, and that it can be reduced by 0.7 msec by transmitting the acknowledgement signal at the network interface unit(NIU) rather than at the hose, when the channel utilization is approximately 0.8. Also, implementation of the buffer insertion protocol has been studied.
