미시적 주행행태를 반영한 후미추돌위험 평가모형 개발 (Development of the Risk Evaluation Model for Rear End Collision on the Basis of Microscopic Driving Behaviors)

  • 안전측면에서 교통류를 효율적으로 운영${\cdot}$관리하기 위해서는 교통류의 위험정도를 명확하게 판단할 수 있는 기준 및 모형개발이 필요하다. 이를 위해, 본 연구에서는 불완전한 추종으로 인해 발생할 수 있는 교통류 위험을 후미추돌위험의 관점에서 파악하였다. 과거 사고 예측 및 도로위험도 평가모형의 경우 운전자 반응을 고려하지 않았기 때문에, 모형의 신뢰성에 다소 문제가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 한계 및 문제점을 극복하기 위해 사고발생 가능성이라는 개념을 도입함으로써 위험과 사고 사이에 존재하는 운전자 반응을 모형에 반영하였다. 즉, 추종이론 및 안정성 이론을 바탕으로 후미추돌과 관련된 미시적 변수 즉, 운전자의 반응시간과 감속도를 반영하여 운전자를 고려한 모형을 개발하였다. 위험도를 대표할 수 있는 지표 개발을 위해 소음영향평가에서 사용되는 척도를 활용하였으며, 상대적인 위험도 우위를 평가하기 위해 위험강도 및 지속시간을 고려한 ‘등가위험도’를 개발하였다. 서울시 도시고속도로를 대상으로 직접 실험${\cdot}$조사를 수행하였으며, 미시적 교통류 자료수집을 위해 직접 실험차량을 제작하였다. 수집된 자료를 바탕으로 구간별, 차로별, 교통상황별 위험도를 도출하였다. 모형에 의해 도출된 위험도를 해당구간에서 수집된 차로별 사고자료와 비교하여 본 결과, 교통상황 및 사고자료 패턴과 일치하는 결과를 보여주었다. 본 연구에서 개발된 모형은 안전진단 및 도로설계에서부터 첨단안전차량 제어알고리즘의 안전성평가에 이르기가지 다양한 분야에서 활용될 수 있다.

Feasibility Analysis of Alternative Electricity Systems by 2030 in the Post-Fukushima Era

  • The Fukushima nuclear accident in 2011 had an extensive impact on the national electricity plans. This paper outlines alternative electricity scenarios that meet the goals of nuclear phase-out and greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction. This paper also analyzes the results of each scenario in respect to the electricity mix, GHG emissions, costs and employment effects. The Long-range Energy Alternatives Planning system (LEAP) model was used to simulate the annual electricity demand and supply system from 2011 to 2030. The reference year was 2009. Scenarios are reference (where existing plans are continued), A1, A2, B1, B2, and C2 (where the levels of demand management and nuclear phase-out are different). The share of renewable energy in the electricity mix in 2030 for each scenario will be increased from about 1% in 2009 to 8% in the reference scenario and from 11% to 31% in five alternative scenarios. Total cumulative cost increases up to 14% more than the reference scenario by replacing nuclear power plants with renewable energy in alternative scenarios could be affordable. Deploying enough renewable energy to meet such targets requires a roadmap for electricity price realization, expansion of research, development and deployment for renewable energy technologies, establishment of an organization dedicated to renewable energy, and ambitious targets for renewable energy.

PROPOSAL FOR DUAL PRESSURIZED LIGHT WATER REACTOR UNIT PRODUCING 2000 MWE

  • The Dual Unit Optimizer 2000 MWe (DUO2000) is put forward as a new design concept for large power nuclear plants to cope with economic and safety challenges facing the $21^{st}$ century green and sustainable energy industry. DUO2000 is home to two nuclear steam supply systems (NSSSs) of the Optimized Power Reactor 1000 MWe (OPR1000)-like pressurized water reactor (PWR) in single containment so as to double the capacity of the plant. The idea behind DUO may as well be extended to combining any number of NSSSs of PWRs or pressurized heavy water reactors (PHWRs), or even boiling water reactors (BWRs). Once proven in water reactors, the technology may even be expanded to gas cooled, liquid metal cooled, and molten salt cooled reactors. With its in-vessel retention external reactor vessel cooling (IVR-ERVC) as severe accident management strategy, DUO can not only put the single most querulous PWR safety issue to an end, but also pave the way to very promising large power capacity while dispensing with the huge redesigning cost for Generation III+ nuclear systems. Five prototypes are presented for the DUO2000, and their respective advantages and drawbacks are considered. The strengths include, but are not necessarily limited to, reducing the cost of construction by decreasing the number of containment buildings from two to one, minimizing the cost of NSSS and control systems by sharing between the dual units, and lessening the maintenance cost by uniting the NSSS, just to name the few. The latent threats are discussed as well.

TOC Thinking Process를 활용한 철도종합안전심사 안정화방안 연구 (Applying the TOC Thinking Process: A Study for Stabilization of Integrated Railway Safety Audit System)

  • To cope with the change of railway safety environment and to prevent the catastrophic accident, the railway safety management system was established through the legislation of railway safety rules. And to audit and evaluate the accomplishment of railway safety rules by the railway operators, the Integrated Railway Safety Audit System(IRSAS) has been conducting. This study find out the strategy to stabilize the IRSAS by applying Theory of Constraints(TOC) Thinking Process. For meeting the IRSAS's goal of effective levelling up of railway safety, the two necessary conditions, 1)the secure of substantial safety through the IRSAS and 2)the execution of efficient IRSAS, should be fulfilled. Estimated undesirable effects(UDEs) from the IRSAS were identified, and 3 of them were selected for creating the requisite conflict clouds. Entities from these conflict clouds were synthesized into a core conflict cloud that foamed the base of Current Reality Tree. The strategic direction for change extracted from the conflict cloud is the reinforcement of IRSAS preparation system including the level up of operator's self audit, the deepening of preliminary survey, the establishment of complementing system of audit check list and the build up of auditor's specialization. These injection were logically validated via a Future Reality Tree and expected to be confirmed by further progressing of IRSAS.

THINNED PIPE MANAGEMENT PROGRAM OF KOREAN NUCLEAR POWER PLANTS

  • Local wall thinning and integrity degradation caused by several mechanisms, such as flow accelerated corrosion (FAC), cavitation, flashing and/or liquid drop impingements, are a main concern in carbon steel piping systems of nuclear power plant in terms of safety and operability. Thinned pipe management program (TPMP) had been developed and optimized to reduce the possibility of unplanned shutdown and/or power reduction due to pipe failure caused by wall thinning in the secondary side piping system. This program also consists of several technical elements such as prediction of wear rate for each component, prioritization of components for inspection, thickness measurement, calculation of actual wear and wear rate for each component. Decision making is associated with replacement or continuous service for thinned pipe components. Establishment of long-term strategy based on diagnosis of plant condition regarding overall wall thinning is also essential part of the program. Prediction models of wall thinning caused by FAC had been established for 24 operating nuclear plants. Long term strategies to manage the thinned pipe component were prepared and applied to each unit, which was reflecting plant specific design, operation, and inspection history, so that the structural integrity of piping system can be maintained. An alternative integrity assessment criterion and a computer program for thinned piping items were developed for the first time in the world, which was directly applicable to the secondary piping system of nuclear power plant. The thinned pipe management program is applied to all domestic nuclear power plants as a standard procedure form so that it contributes to preventing an accident caused by FAC.

정보보호 분야 직무별 필요 지식 및 기술 분석 (Analysis on Knowledge and Skills for Information Security Professionals)

  • 정보보호의 중요성이 확산되면서 국내 정보보호 산업의 발전과 함께 정보보호 전문인력 양성을 위한 노력이 다각도로 이루어져왔다. 특히 정보보호 인력 질적인 양성을 위해서는 보다 체계적인 정보보호 교육 시스템이 필요하다는 전제 아래, 정보보호 분야 지식 및 기술 분석에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되어 왔다. 본 연구는 정보보호 전문인력이 갖추어야 할 지식 및 기술에 대해 정보보호 주 직무군에 따른 차이를 분석하고 있다. 먼저 문헌고찰과 전문가 조사를 통해 55개의 정보보호 분야 전문지식 및 기술을 도출하였다. 51개 조사대상 기술 및 지식에 대해 현업에 종사하고 있는 정보보호 전문인력을 대상으로 정보보호 업무를 수행하기 위해 필요한 정도와 숙련 정도를 조사하였다. 최종적으로는 정보보호 분야의 4개 주 직무군에 따른 정보보호 전문지식 및 기술에 대한 필요정도 차이를 분석하였다. 이를 통해 직무수행에 필요한 지식 및 기술을 도출하고, 수행 직무에서의 수요에 기반하여 정보보호 분야의 훈련 및 교육 체계를 수립하는 데에 기여할 수 있을 것이다.

고전압 착자기에서의 누전 사고 방지를 위한 광통신 제어시스템의 도입 방안과 경제성 분석 (Economic Analysis of Optical Communication Control System in High Voltage Magnetizer)

  • Demand for high power motors is rapidly increasing as the 4th industry and convergence technology has recently emerged. In order to produce high-strength permanent magnets, the magnets used for magnetization have been increased from DC 300V in the 1970s to DC 2.5kV in the 2010s, Up to DC 10kV in the 2030s, It is expected that higher voltage will be used to magnetize. However, in the case of a magnetizer using an existing electric signal control device, it is necessary to use a control device with a high-voltage insulation function in case a high voltage used for magnetization is leaked to the control device. If a short circuit accident occurs, the controller must be shut down and serious problems such as excessive repair costs arise. In this study, a control system adopting optical communication method instead of electric signal control method is proposed to prevent leakage currents in high-voltage magnetizer. We design a transmitter(Tx) and a receiver(Rx) device for the optical communication control device and implemented a prototype connecting the optical cable. In order to demonstrate the utility of high-voltage magnetizer using the optical communication control device, we analyzed the initial cost and the yearly cost for the years to analyze the net present value. As a result, In the case of the low-voltage magnetizer, the electric signal control method cost less, As the operating voltage of the magnetizer becomes higher. It is confirmed that it takes less cost when the optical communication control device is used.

업무상 근골격계질환 산업재해판정자에 대한 현황 분석 (The Trends and Status of Work-related Musculoskeletal Diseases under Korean Worker's Compensation System)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to analyze the characteristics of work-related musculoskeletal diseases (MSD) and the factors for approving MSD by the parts of the body. Methods: The analysis was done using the data which were drawn from the Industrial Accident Compensation Insurance that is operated by the Korea Worker's Compensation & Welfare Service. The data were composed of total cases related to the work-related diseases from 2006 to 2009. In addition, MSD data input by an investigator were collected. The factors associated with MSD were analyzed using ${\times}2$ and multiple logistic regression. Results: MSD approved cases have increased since 2006 and the proportion of the approved work-related MSD cases in the workers with work-related diseases in 2009 were 33.4%. Spinal approved cases were the highest percentage and upper and lower extremities cases gradually increased. The factors for approving upper extremity were found to be age, company size, type of industry, working duration, and in the case of spine to be company size and heavy lifting. Conclusion: Work-related MSD have increased and the factors that affected MSD by the parts of the body varied. Management strategy must be established to prevent MSD by the parts of the body.

도로 위의 군비경쟁: LDA 토픽모델을 활용한 SUV의 인기 요인 탐구 (The Arms Race on the Road: Exploring Factors of SUVs' Popularity by LDA Topic Model)

  • 본 연구자들은 텍스트 마이닝을 활용하여 SUV 선호 증가의 요인을 탐색하고자 한다. 온라인 자동차 커뮤니티인 보배드림에서 2005년부터 2019년까지 작성된 SUV 관련 게시글 32,679개를 수집한 후, LDA 토픽모델링 기법을 적용하였다. 분석 결과, SUV 담화에서 주요한 토픽으로 등장한 '안전'이 범죄로부터 개인의 위험에 주목한 기존 연구와 달리 교통사고 및 고속주행 상황에서의 안전을 의미하는 것으로 드러났다. 한국 사회의 SUV 소비는 개인이 운전하면서 느끼는 불안과 위험에 대한 대비 수단을 의미한다고 볼 수 있다는 것이다. 또한, 이와 같은 위험 인식 저변에는 불평등 증대로 인해 감소하는 타인에 대한 신뢰가 작동한다고 할 수 있다.

머신러닝 기반의 수도권 지역 고령운전자 차대사람 사고심각도 분류 연구 (Classifying Severity of Senior Driver Accidents In Capital Regions Based on Machine Learning Algorithms)

  • 고령화 시대에 따라 고령운전자 역시 증가하고 있으며, 이들에 의한 교통사고 심각성에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 이에 고령운전자에 의한 사고심각도 예측 모형의 필요성이 점차 요구됨에 따라, 본 연구에서는 기계학습 기법을 활용하여 고령운전자에 의한 차대사람 사고심각도 예측을 위한 모형 정립 및 분석을 수행하고자 한다. 이를 위해 4개의 기계학습 알고리즘 (Logistic Model, KNN, RF, SVM)을 활용, 예측 모형을 개발하고 각 결과를 비교하였다. 연구 결과에 따르면 Logistic과 SVM 모형이 상대적으로 높은 예측력을 보였으며, 정확도 측면에서는 RF가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 추가적으로 각 중요 변수들을 이용하여 교차분석을 수행한 후 그 결과를 제시하였다. 본 연구의 결과들은 고령화시대에 고령운전자에 의한 사고심각성을 예방하기 위한 안전정책 및 인프라 개발에 활용될 것으로 판단된다.
