Recently, the quantity of risk in construction project has been inflated due to the fact that current construction projects have been large and complicated. Therefore, a study on the risk management methods is necessary that can predict and respond to the need in complicated modern construction projects. In this study, the objective is to analyze the cause of accident in actual construction sites and develop a risk assessment model based on insurance claims records. To reach the goal of this study, first, the frequency and severity of accidents are analyzed the causes of accidents based on the classification; progress rate, season, and total construction costs. Second, a risk assessment model is developed by utilizing a multiple regression analysis. The dependent variable is loss ratio of material damage and three categories; natural hazards, geographic information, and construction method & ability, are used as the independent variables. The model's adjusted R-square is 0.455. The contributions of this study will be used as a material for a quantitative risk analysis model development and review of the construction risk factors for future study.
Almost all companies have paid much attention to the safety management ranging from maintenance to operation even at the stage of designing in order to prevent accidents, but fatal accidents continue to increase throughout the world. In particular, it is essential to systematically prevent such fatal accidents as fire, explosion or leakage of toxic gas at factories in order to not only protect the workers and neighbors but also prevent economic losses and environmental pollution. Though it is well known that accident probability is very low in NPP(Nuclear Power Plants), the reason why many researches are still being performed about the accidents is the results may be so severe. HRA is the main process to make preparation for possibility of human error in designing of the NPP. But those techniques have some problems and limitation as follows; the evaluation sensitivity of those techniques are out of date. And the evaluation of human error is not coupled with the design process. Additionally, the scope of the human error which has to be included in reliability assessment should be expanded. This work focuses on the coincidence of human error and mechanical failure for some important performance shaping factors to propose a method for improving safety effectively of the process industries. In order to apply in these purposes into the thesis, I found 63 critical Performance Shaping Factors of the eight dimensions throughout studies that I executed earlier. In this study, various analysis of opinion of specialists(Personal Factors, Training, Knowledge or Experience, Procedures and Documentation, Information, Communications, HMI, Workplace Design, Quality of Environment, Team Factors) and the guideline for construction of PSF were accomplished. The selected method was AHP which simplifies objective conclusions by maintaining consistency. This research focused on the implementation process of PSF to evaluate the process of PSF at each phase. As a result, we propose an evaluation model of PSF as a tool to find critical problem at each phase and improve on how to resolve the problems found at each phase. This evaluation model makes it possible to extraction of PSF succesfully by presenting the basis of assessment which will be used by enterprises to minimize the trial and error of construction process of PSF.

This research is mainly aimed at finding out about the effects of the safety and health management system on corporate performance through systematic operation by efficiently allocating material and human resources within the company by participating all employees and stakeholders in order to prevent and maintain industrial accidents and the optimal working environment, and how to maintain and activate the safety and health management system at the center of electric contractors.The analysis results are as follows. First, management, organizational management and resource preparation will have a positive impact on the management capability of the electric power corporation. It was assessed that the more well-transmitted and understood within the organization, the better the construction plan, the better the equipment management status, the more positively the management capability of electric works was to be achieved. Second, management, organizational management and resource preparation will have a positive impact on corporate management performance.This seems to have a positive effect on a company's business performance when the standards of OHSAS are met with construction plan and construction equipment management are high as related information such as industrial safety and health laws are strengthened and companies' safety and health activities, advanced safety and culture are released to facilitate organizational management.Third, the management ability of the electric power corporation will have a mediated effect on the effect of management, organization management and resource preparation on the performance of the enterprise. This means that the direct effect of the independent variable management organization on corporate management performance is .401 The indirect effect is .168.658 shows that the direct effect of resource preparation on corporate management performance is .423, the indirect effect is .178 and the total effect.It was analyzed at 643.

This study suggests the use of a simple method, called the unit concentration response function(UCRF) for predicting travel time and dispersion of pollutants with the minimum information of study area instead of numerical models which are widely used In the Previous studies. However, the numerical models require time-consuming, tedious effort, and many data sets. So we derive the UCRF using some components such as travel time, peak concentration, and passage time of pollutant etc. We use the regression equation for the estimations of components which were developed from the investigations of many river basins in USA. This study used the regression equaiton for the UCRF to the accident of Dichloromethane leak into the Nakdong River occurred on June 30, 1994 and applied the UCRF for the predictions of travel time and dispersion. The predictions were compared with the results by QUAL2E model. The results by the regression equaiton and QUAL2E model had a good agreement between observed and simulated concentrations. Therefore, the regression equation for the UCRF which can simply estimate travel time and concentration of pollutants showed its applicability for the ungaged basin.
Accidents are the fourth-leading causal factor of death among the elderly, and fall is a major type of accident (53.17%). Many cases of falls in the elderly result in delayed discovery and loss of quality of life. As the number of the elderly grows, falls will be a more important health problem. Most previous research on falls investigated prevalence. mortality, and the related factors. There are many studies proving the effect of rhythmic movements. But few researches considered linking risk factors of fall with rhythmic movements. Purpose: We want to show the changes after performing rhythmic movement program, in risk factors of falls and mobility such as flexibility, balance, muscle power and persistency in the elderly, in order to provide basic information needed for the development of fall injury prevention program for the elderly. Method: The design of this study is quasi-experimental, the equivalent control group, pretest-posttest. The subjects consist of 124 people who lived in Do-Bong-Qu. Seoul, agreed to participate in this study, and were able to follow this rhythmic movement program. About 93 % of them are from 65 to 84 years (Mean${\pm}$sd: $73.7{\pm}5.7$): 64% are female. The rhythmic movement program was designed. and performed by two community health nurses working in the Do-Bong-Gu Public Health Center, regularly twice a week from May, 4 to December, 17. in 10 senior citizens' community centers. Risk factors of fall were measured with RAFS- II (Risk Assessment for Falls Scale II) by asking about each item: mobility was measured by observing their specific movements asked by investigators. Results: 1. After performing the program during 7 months, risk factors score of falls were decreased significantly (paired-t = 4.77. p<0.01). 2. After performing the program during 7 months, flexibility (paired-t = 2.26. p=0.03) and mobility were improved (paired-t = 4.98. p<0.01). but muscle power and persistency did not change (paired-t = 0.33. p=0.74). Overall, mobility affecting the occurrence of falls was improved significantly (paired-t = 5.15. p<0.01). Conclusions: A regular rhythmic movement program can be helpful in preventing falls in the elderly. Further. we can develop a fall injury prevention program using rhythmic movement.
Inter-Korean exchanges using civil aviation has been continuing since the temporary direct air route from Pyongyang to Seoul was opened on June 15th, 2000 for the summit meeting with North Korea. In this paper, I analyze the North Korea Aviation law by focusing on the differences with South Korean Aviation law. While South Korean Aviation law is modeled on the Pandect system, North Korean Aviation law can only be understood by looking at North Korea's socialist ideology. Therefore, North Korean Aviation law has some expressions which can hardly be understood. With respect to the source of aviation law, both South and North Korea are in compliance with the Convention on International Civil Aviation (Signed at Chicago, on 7 December, 1944). Thus, they established the aviation law based on the standards and recommendations provided by ICAO. For this reason, they have similar legal systems and composition. From this analysis, a few differences are also derived regarding aircraft ownership, airports, airline liability, aircraft accident investigation organization and aviation insurance. It is important to note that this paper has a particular limitation. Not only is the information about North Korean law very limited, but North Korea also does not provide easy access to its national legal codes. This paper describes the legal comparison of South and North Korea by focusing on the formation and framework of North Korean aviation law.

A Multi-distinction Equipment Screening Algorithm (MESA) is proposed. It selectively integrates Dow's F&EI as its process hazard index technique and ESA (Equipment Screening Algorithm) as qualitative hazard classification technique, and retrieves a detailed list of hazardous equipments with the total hazard indices of those equipments. The inherent expert system, which includes the accident scenarios of the equipments and processes and experts' views of them, narrows further down the list of hazardous equipments and recommends only the most notable candidates. Through the case study of distinguishing the hazardous ranking of the equipments of the LPG underground storage process, using the expert system or not, the applicability of MESA has been validated. Taking the characteristics of the process equipments with hazardous ranking in the point of process intrinsic safety, this proposed algorithm would contribute to providing engineers or managers with information on constructing safely devices and mitigation devices and on scheduling emergency response planning.
This research has attempted to conduct meta-analysis on 605 published papers in the field of socio-nuclear studies from 1957 to 2016 in Korea through network analysis of author-provided keywords. The findings lead to several straightforward conclusions. First, socio-nuclear studies including policy research have mostly been conducted by universities, while technology developments have been led by public organizations. Second, it is apparent that the Fukushima accident has provoked major engagement among social scientists in nuclear issues as the remarkable growth of the knowledge network after 2011 signify. Third, the research topics have been diversified as a result of growing multi-disciplinary research projects. Finally, there is between sub communities in the socio-nuclear knowledge network in terms of network properties. This article provides a stepping stone for future researchers with a wealth of information concerning the status of socio-nuclear studies. For policy makers, this meta-analysis is likely to provide guidance on what we need and do not need. It remains to be seen whether the socio-nuclear knowledge network in Korea is well-structured or not. provide an impetus for comparative studies with overseas cases in order to evaluate the network and its soundness.

The X-ray unit developed by this study is to diagnose emergency cases which is too far from a hospital and to classify the patients. We have to use the X-ray in a ambulance or the scene of an accident where we cannot use the AC220 outlet because of the distance from a hospital as well. The X-ray unit developed has a characteristics as follows. First of all, as the unit has a condenser in itself where there is no electric supply, we can use the X-ray inspector in a mountain area or a island. Second, we can detect by digital detector the information taken by X-ray from DC 12[V] electricity and store as a form of file. A control circuit can secure the reliability of the X-ray unit by using the Pic16F84A X-ray and provide various functions. The X-ray unit which suits remote emergency system can be efficiently used for the emergent cases who is too far from a doctor and a hospital or in the situation where it is difficult to diagnose, transcribe and treat simultaneously.
Three failure cases of CNG composite vessels were reported since after January 2005. The 1st and 2nd accidents were indebted to vessel defect and installation mistake. The 3rd was caused by gas leak at pipe connections. In this paper various aspects were studied based on information of the three failure analysis, which must be improved for better safety of the CNG bus system. Overpressure region caused by vessel explosion was theoretically predicted and also assessed by PHAST program. Explosion of 120 l vessel under 20 MPa is equivalent to 1.2 kg TNT explosion. The predicted value by PHAST was more serious than theoretical one. However, actual consequence of explosion was much less than both of the predicted consequences. Since the CNG vessel was designed by the performance based design methodology, it is difficult to verify whether the required process and tests were properly conducted or not after production. If material toughness is not enough, the vessel should be weak in brittle fracture at early in the morning of winter season since the metal temperature can be lower than the transition temperature. If autofrettage pressure is not correct, fatigue failure due to tensile stress during repeated charging is possible. One positive aspect is that fire did not ocurred after vessel failure. This may be indebted to fast diffusion of natural gas which hindered starting fire.
