A study on the recycling technique for jelly-filled copper cable

  • Due to the rapid development of telecommunication industry, most telecom operators are investing to upgrade their access networks by using optical cables instead of copper cables. Building new telecom ducts for optical cable installation requires so huge capital expenses that most telecom operators need to remove unused copper cables in order to secure enough space to in-stall optical cables. In this paper, we will present a alternative method to extract copper from removed copper cables.

  • A few of new and large cities have been developed and developing at some areas surrounding Seoul, a capital city of Korea. Thus, commuters from new city to downtown are considerably increasing and the present network of road and railway will be short of transportation capacities. A special problem is that new cities are far from downtown than pre-existing new cities and the entering to downtown is required to a considerable time and cost. Therefore, a new conceptional transportation system has to be substitute with old-fashioned road and railway. This paper presents the feasibility of the deep & high-speed nonstop railway which is able to access to the downtown with ease and fast from new city. If the railway is located under deep position, indemnity cost of land will be notably down. If the railway runs with high speed and has a nonstop concept, the access time to downtown will be remarkably short.

Benefits and Spillover Effects of Infrastructure: A Spatial Econometric Approach

  • This paper estimates the effects of transport (road and rail) & energy and ICT infrastructure (telephone, mobile, and broadband) on GDP growths in neighboring countries as well as own countries. We confirm positive direct contributions of infrastructure, access to Internet, and human capital on economic growth. The spatial panel regression models indicate that there exist positive externalities of the broadband infrastructure and human capital, and these results are robust regardless of the choice of spatial weight matrices. Our findings on spillover effects of infrastructure suggest the key role of neighboring countries' infrastructure on own country's economic growth.

Determinants of Access to Green Finance in Vietnam: An Empirical Research

  • Green finance plays an important role in environmental protection missions and fighting climate change. The Environment Fund in Vietnam is the main channel of preferential capital offered to firms for environmental protection. Unfortunately, it was previously unknown which criteria influenced these companies' ability to obtain green financing. Using a survey method, we collected data through a structured questionnaire of 203 respondents that represent firms that had received concessional loans from 26 Environment Funds. A Multiple Linear Regression model was used to examine the determinants of access to concessional loans for environmental protection. We found relationships between age, size, ownership type, and industry sector, and access to green finance. Third-party guarantees were a significant factor in financing through Environment Funds. Moreover, we found commercial environmental projects face fewer green financing obstacles. Surprisingly, showing audited financial statements does not mitigate the information asymmetry between firms and these financial institutions. These findings suggest that Environment Funds should classify environmental project types to develop appropriate lending policies. In emerging markets, enterprises need to build a trusted relationship with financial institutions so that they can replace asset-based lending techniques, thereby increasing the firms' accessibility to green finance.

Investigating the Impact of Value Co-Creation on Satisfaction and Intention to Adopt E-Resources

  • The present study examines the impact of value co-creation on satisfaction and intention to adopt of e-resources among users. Four components of the DART model have been adopted to describe value co-creation. These components are dialogue, access, risk-assessment, and transparency. Ph.D. scholars and faculty members from National Capital Region, India, were requested to respond on a five-point Likert scale. A total of 220 responses were collected with the help of a structured questionnaire from respondents of the top 50 business schools according to National Institute Ranking Framework. These responses have been analysed by means of structured equation modelling on Adanco 2.2 software. Findings of the study reported the insignificant impact of access and risk-assessment, and positive impact of dialogue and transparency on satisfaction. Further, satisfaction has been identified, creating significant impact on adoption of e-resources. Such findings reflect the real picture of customer experience with respect to their role in co-creation of e-resources. Respondents have conveyed their dissatisfaction with the co-creation process of e-resources, as companies do not provide all the information and access to their customers beforehand. Consequently, customers fail to make informed decisions and also find themselves unable to show trust in the service providers of e-resources.

  • Knapsack problems represent many business application such as cargo loading, project selection, and capital budgeting. In this research we developed a knapsack problem solver based on Martello-Toth algorithm using a relational database management system on the PC platform. The solver used the menu-driven user interface. The solver can be easily integrated with the database of decision support system because the solver can access the database to retrieve the data for the model and to store the result directly.

  • 본 연구에서는 부모세대의 사회 경제적 지위에 따라 결정된 거주지에 따라 자녀세대의 학력자본이 차별적으로 재생산되고 있는지를 살펴보고자 하였다. 연구결과 고학력으로 대표되는 사회ㆍ경제적 지위가 높은 집단의 거주 비율이 높은 분리된 거주지에서 재생산되는 학력자본은 양적인 면에서나 질적인 면에서 모두 매우 차별적으로 나타나고 있다. 특정 지역에 거주하는 것 자체가 자녀 미래의 많은 부분을 결정하게 되어 사회집단들 간의 경계가 부와 빈곤의 지리적 집중에 의해 확대ㆍ강화되고 있다. 다른 지역과 구분되는 차별화된 학력자본의 재생산이 이루어지는 강남구는 고학력집단의 지속적 집중과 아파트 가격의 급격한 상승으로 비가시적이지만 견고한 사회 경제적 장벽을 갖는 빗장도시의 성격이 강화되고 있다. 높은 주택 가격에 의한 타 계급에 대한 배제를 통해 이 지역의 교육환경은 장벽안에 거주하는 사람들에 의해 배타적으로 전유되는 사회적 결과가 나타나고 있다.

  • Purpose: This study aims to explain the effect distribution strategy and competitiveness of entrepreneurial personality on marketing capabilities and performance, the effect of marketing capabilities on marketing performance, the role of marketing capabilities as a mediating variable on the effect of entrepreneurial personality on marketing performance, and the role of credit access moderating effect of entrepreneurial personality on marketing capabilities and performance. Research design, data, and methodology: This research was conducted in Bali, on a small clothing industry. The sample size was set at 150 respondents, using a cluster random sampling approach. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques and partial least square. Result: The findings show that; entrepreneurial personality and marketing capabilities have a significant effect on marketing performance, entrepreneurial personality has a significant effect on marketing capabilities. Another result shows that marketing capability mediates the effect of entrepreneurial personality on marketing performance, access to credit acts as a moderating predictor, and as quasi moderating the effect of entrepreneurial personality on marketing performance. Conclusions: Entrepreneurs should try to increase their knowledge and skills in marketing formally or informally. Competence in terms of individual knowledge and skills can indicate social capital investment, which indirectly contributes to one's mindset and insight.

문화와 콘텐츠 산업: 사회자본 관점에서의 신한류 현상 분석 (Culture and Content Industry: An Analysis on New Korean Wave based on Social Capital Perspective)

  • 드라마 위주의 방송을 매체로 한 이전의 한류와 달리, 케이팝을 중심으로 한 신한류의 확산은 소셜미디어를 통해 이루어졌다. 본 논문은 이러한 확산 방식의 차이가 사회자본 관점에서 한류의 수용층과 수용방식에 어떻게 영향을 미쳤는지 고찰하고, 이를 토대로 콘텐츠 산업에 대한 시사점을 도출하고자 한다. 소셜미디어를 통한 신한류의 수용자들은 자발적으로 케이팝을 찾아 공유하고 자신들의 의사를 표출하는 젊은 열성 팬들로 구성된다. 유튜브나 페이스북과 같은 소셜 네트워크 서비스를 제공하는 웹 기업들은 이들을 결속형에서 교량형 사회자본으로 변화시켜, 음원제공 사이트에서 케이팝의 판매를 촉진하는 정보제공자의 역할을 한다. 통신사와 광고주는 이러한 시장에 제3자로 참여하여 미디어가 소비자들 사이에서 유통될 수 있도록 자금을 지원한다. 이처럼 서로가 서로를 지원하는 다면시장에서 생태계의 변화를 유도하는 플랫폼의 확보 없이는 신한류의 파급효과를 극대화하는 연계형 사회자본 형성은 어려울 것이다.
