덧씌우기 아스팔트 포장체의 전단반사균옅 모사시험을 이용한 줄눈 실링재의 반사균열 지연효과 비교분석 (Evaluation of Sealing Effect on Performance of Overlaid Asphalt Pavement using Accelerated Reflection Cracking Test in Shear Mode)

  • 본 논문은 시멘트 콘크리트 포장 위에 덧씌우기한 아스팔트 콘크리트 포장에서 발생하는 반사균열 제어를 위해 줄눈 실링재를 사용한 포장에서의 반사균열을 평가하기 위하여 수행되었다. 사용된 시험방법은 전단반사균열 모사실험 방법으로 실내에서 덧씌우기 아스팔트의 반사균열 저항성 시험을 위해 개발된 시험기법이다. 실험을 통하여 줄눈 실링재는 반사균열 제어에 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 실링재 E를 사용하였을 때 피로수명은 가장 크게 나타났으나 수평변형은 상대적으로 크게 나타났고, B의 경우 수평변형은 가장 적게 나타났고 동적 안정도도 가장 크게 나타났다. 일반적으로 실링재의 인장강도가 높은 것일수록 혼합물의 반사균열저항성이 더 좋았다.

  • The in-wheel drive gearbox for military special vehicles converts the high-speed & low-torque output generated by the electric servomotor, into low-speed & high-torque mechanical power. As the vehicle is remotely maneuvered in mountainous terrain, wet fields, rough terrain, etc., the gearbox must generate a maximum input speed exceeding 5,000 rpm, a maximum torque of 245 Nm, and MTBF of 9,600 km. The purpose of this study was to analyze the failure mode of the gearbox, to ensure the durability of the in-wheel drive gearbox. Also, the field load test data of the vehicle was analyzed, the acceleration durability test standards were established, the acceleration durability test was conducted, and the durability test results were analyzed as well.

  • 고온자전합성과 후열처리 공정으로 $Mo_xW_{1-x}Si_2$ 발열체를 제조하였다. $Mo_xW_{1-x}Si_2$ 발열체의 신뢰성을 검증하기 위해 가속수명시험을 수행하였으며, 수명시간을 Minitab 프로그램으로 추정하였다. 또한, 가속수명시험 후의 $Mo_xW_{1-x}Si_2$ 발열체의 고장분석을 전기적과 구조적 특성으로부터 수행하였다. 그 결과, $Mo_xW_{1-x}Si_2$ 발열체의 지배적인 고장 유형은 발열체 내부의 크랙 형성과 $SiO_2$ 보호층의 박리임을 확인하였다.

  • 고준위방사성폐기물 처분장은 심지층 처분시스템으로 사용후핵연료를 취급하는 특성상 고온, 방사선 및 지하수 등의 복합적인 환경조건에 노출되어 있다. 지속적인 노출에 의해 시간이 지남에 따라 구조물의 균열 및 열화가 발생할 수 있다. 한편 고준위방사성폐기물 처분장은 초장기 기대수명이 요구되며 이에 따른 장기적인 구조물 건전성 모니터링이 필수적이다. 구조물 건전성 모니터링에는 가속도계, 토압계, 변위계 등 다양한 센서들이 활용될 수 있으며, 이 중 일반적으로 피에조센서가 사용된다. 따라서 피에조센서의 내구성 평가를 바탕으로 고내구성 센서를 개발할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 피에조센서의 내구성 평가 및 수명예측을 위한 가속수명시험을 설계하였다. 문헌연구를 바탕으로 단일 스트레스 인자에 대한 가속 스트레스 수준 수 및 각 수준 별 시료 수를 선정하였다. 또한 고준위방사성폐기물 처분장 환경조건에서 발생할 수 있는 피에조센서의 고장모드 및 고장메커니즘을 분석하였다. 온도 스트레스 인자에 대한 최대 가혹조건 탐색 실험을 두 가지 방법으로 제안하였으며 피에조센서의 신뢰도 높은 동작한계를 도출하였다. 이를 이용하여 가속수명시험의 합리적인 가속 스트레스 수준을 설정하였다. 본 연구에서 제시된 최대 가혹조건 탐색 실험방법은 경제적이며 실용적인 아이디어를 담고 있으며, 추후 피에조센서의 가속수명시험 설계에 널리 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

주상변압기 밀봉재질 개선을 위한 수명시험 방법 (Enhancement of Rubber Gasket Material for Pole Transformer)

  • An acceleration life test for rubber gasket of pole transformer was performed. The Arrhenius method was applied as an accelerated degradation test. The failure mode was considered as an elongation, and the failure mechanism is counted as a heat. It is found that both the current material(NBR: Nitrile Butadiene Rubber) and recommended alternative material(HNBR: Hydrogenated Nitrile Butadiene Rubber) have the same Weibull distribution as a life characteristic. For life expectation 95% reliability level of characteristic life is used at using temperature. The test results for NBR and HNBR are 7.7 years and 28.0 years on $50^{\circ}C$ of using temperature, respectively.

Experimental investigation of a method for diagnosing wall thinning in an artificially thinned carbon steel elbow based on changes in modal characteristics

  • Curved cylindrical structures such as elbows have a non-uniform thickness distribution due to their fabrication process, and as a result have a number of complex mode shapes, including circumferential and axial nodal patterns. In nuclear power plants, material degradation is induced in pipes by flow accelerated erosion and corrosion, causing the wall thickness of carbon steel elbows to gradually thin. The corresponding frequencies of each mode shape vary according to the wall thinning state. Therefore, the thinning state can be estimated by monitoring the varying modal characteristics of the elbow. This study investigated the varying modal characteristics of artificially thinned carbon steel elbows for each thinning state using numerical simulation and experimental methods (MRIT, Multiple Reference Impact Test). The natural frequencies of specified mode shapes were extracted, and results confirmed they linearly decreased with increasing thinning. In addition, by comparing single FRF (Frequency Response Function) data with the results of MRIT, a concise and cost effective thinning estimation method was suggested.

견인 장치 사용 환경 다양화에 따른 차체 입력하중 분석 (Analysis of Load Input to Vehicle Body Due to Diversification of Environment of Towing Device)

  • Purpose: This research is to develop Trailer Durability Test of towing device, in order to cover usage conditions of bike type as well as general type trailer. With the diversification of leisure activities, the population that enjoys various sports and leisure has increased rapidly, and the number of vehicles equipped with camping trailers and bike carriers is also increasing steadily. The purpose of this study is to develop a durable vehicle that has no problem in various customer conditions. Methods: We measured the input load under various conditions of the user by attaching load cell to the body fixing part and towing ball of the towing device. The load in various modes was measured, and the difference between the trailer and the bike carrier type was compared and analyzed. Results: Due to the difference in fixing method and weight between the two types, the trailer has a large longitudinal force and the bike type has a large vertical force. Therefore, it is necessary to durability test method capable of satisfying all longitudinal force and vertical force. Conclusion: We improved the durability test of the towing device by changing the test surface. The new mode has made it possible to shorten the durability test schedule by increasing test efficiency.

  • Out door exposure to daylight and weather climate conditions can cause adverse effect on the properties of automotive plastic materials. The effects of sunlight exposure, especially ultra violet (UV) radiation, can break down the chemical bonds in a polymeric material. This degradation process is called photo-degradation and ultimately leads to color changes, cracking, chalking, the loss of physical properties and deterioration of other properties. To explore the effect of sunlight exposure on the automotive materials, this study investigated photo-oxidation degree and surface property change of molding parts by analytical methods. For the further study, accelerated weathering test methods are proposed, which can correlate with out door weathering, to predict long term performance of automotive plastic materials.

가스켓용 고무소재의 특성수명 예측 (Prediction of Characteristics Life of the Rubber Gasket)

  • In this paper, we carried out an accelerated degradation test that is commonly used to predict characteristics life of rubber gaskets for a pole transformer. The potential failure mode applied for the test is rubber elongation and the corresponding failure mechanism is heat. From the result, we found that Weibull distribution is the fatigue life distribution in NBR and H-NBR. After estimating characteristics life in commonly used temperature, the average life span of $B_{50}$ in NBR is 7.7 years under $50^{\circ}C$ and the life span in H-NBR is 28 years.

유압 피스톤 펌프의 수명 예측 연구 (A Study on Life Prediction of Hydraulic Piston Pump)

  • Hydraulic systems are widely used in the field of defense, construction machinery, agricultural machinery, and general industries, due to various advantages such as quick response speed and precision control. The defense equipments such as light rescue vehicle is operated in very harsh environments, so hydraulic components used in defense equipment are required to have very high reliability. In particular, hydraulic piston pump is very important component in a hydraulic systems, so life prediction of pump is essential. Therefore, in this study, we analyze the potential failure and the main failure mode of the hydraulic piston pump for the light rescue vehicle through the FMEA analysis, and predict the life of the pump by the accelerated life test considering the usage conditions.
