우리나라 치위생학이 도입되지 약 40여년이 지난 시점에서 치위생학 전공자들의 학문적 정의와 위상에 대하여 치위생(학)과 학생과 보건의료분야의 임상치과위생사 및 교직관련 분야의 대상자에게 설문을 통해 전공분야에 대한 학문적 정의와 위상에 대한 조사롤 실시한 결과 치위생학의 학문적 범위는 학생과 보건/의료분야 임상치과위생사와 대학교수간의 차이가 두드러지게 나타나 통일된 학문적 범위를 설정하여야 할 것으로 사료되며, 현재 치위생학의 위상은 다른 학문에 비해 뒤쳐져 있다고 생각하는 비율이 매우 높게 조사되었으므로, 치과위생사의 발전을 위해 사회적 위상제고를 위한 민,관,학회 공동의 전문연구를 지원하고 또한 프로그램을 개발하여 사회적 인식을 변화시킬 수 있는 연구가 조속히 이루어져 할 것으로 사료된다.

The debates continue on the conceptualization of Southeast Asia and the ways in which those of us who are concerned to attempt scholarly interventions in the region define, conceive, understand and engage with it. But, in an important sense, the region has now been defined for us by the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), and whatever academic researchers might wish to impose on Southeast Asia in regard to their priorities and interests, it may make little difference. Given the politically-derived, nation-state definition of Southeast Asia, are all our problems of regional definition resolved? In some respects, they have been. ASEAN has constructed and institutionalized a regional organization and an associated regional culture. But in certain fields of research we still require academic flexibility. We cannot always be confined by an ASEAN-derived regional definition. The paper will explore other configurations of 'region' and its sub-divisions and propose, that in the spirit of academic freedom, we can continue to generate imaginative depictions of Southeast Asia and its constituents both within and beyond the region.

본 연구에서는 연속성 개념에 대한 학교수학에서의 정의와 학문수학에서의 정의 사이의 차별성과 상호연결성을 네 가지 관점에서 분석하고 있다. 이에 따르면, '한 점에서의 연속 불연속'의 정의가 학교수학에서는 극한 과정에 의존하고 있고, 학문수학에서는 정의역의 위상에 의존하고 있다. 학교수학에서는 정의역이 하나의 구간이나 구간들의 합집합인 함수에 한하여 연속함수인가를 판정할 수 있으나, 학문수학에서는 어떠한 함수에 대해서도 연속함수인가를 판정할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 결과에 근거하여, 학교수학에서의 연속성 개념 취급과 관련하여 다음 두 가지 의견을 제시한다. 첫째, 극한 과정을 기반으로 한 학교수학에서의 국소적 연속성 개념으로 볼 때, 2009 개정 교과서에서 함수의 정의역에 속하지 않는 특정한 점에서 불연속을 취급하는 것은 적절하다. 이때 불연속점으로 무한 불연속점, 제거 가능한 불연속점과 도약 불연속점의 유형이 나타난다. 둘째, 일반적인 연속함수의 정의로 "함수 y = f(x)에서 정의역에 불연속점이 없으면, f을 연속함수라 한다."를 제안한다. 이 정의는 정의역에 속하지 않은 점에서의 불연속성의 판정을 허용하면서, 학문수학에서의 정의와 일관되게 연결된다.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to suggest how to interpret the 'practice of Korean Medicine', differentiating it from 'medical practice'. Methods : I analyze the legislations and precedents regarding the practice of Korean Medicine. Results : The Korean Medicine and Pharmaceutics Promotion Act defines 'practice of Korean Medicine' and it clearly differentiates it from the definition of 'medical practice'. However, the scope of this definition is somewhat restricting and it can violate doctors of Korean Medicine's right to equality and their academic freedom. Thus, the application of this definition of the 'practice of Korean Medicine' should be limited to the field of research and development. Meanwhile, criteria of distinguishing 'practice of Korean Medicine' from 'medical practice', which used to make a sharp distinction between Medicine and Korean Medicine by rigorously applying their academic standards, are now focusing more on protecting and improving health of the people. Discussions & Conclusions : I suppose that the distinction between the 'practice of Korean Medicine' and 'medical practice' will be more focused on public health rather than the academic stance of those two medical fields. Meanwhile, in accordance with dualistic medical system, the mutual usage of medical equipment in the area of 'treatment' should be limited while it should be allowed in the area of 'diagnosis' if it satisfies requirements suggested by the Constitutional Court.

A terror is more grave than any other one in behavior, and the criminals have to be punished so much and be discriminated from other ones, too. So, a concept of general crime and terror has to be defined. It is finished in the academic area to some extent, but, it is not sufficient in lawful area so much. Afterwards, it is necessary to establish counter-terror protection laws regulating terror crimes directly. In addition, it is necessary to define concretely and clearly the terror activity and deduce the definition of terrorism.

The purpose of this thesis is, through analysing the characteristics of the definitions in Korean school mathematics textbooks, to explore the levels of them. Definitions use din academic mathematics are rigorous. But they should be transformed into various types, which are presented in school mathematics textbooks, with didactical purposes. In this thesis we investigated such types of transformation. With the result of this investigation we tried to identify the levels of the definitions in school mathematics textbooks. We tried to construct, with consideration about methods of definition, frame for analysing the types of the definitions in school mathematics. Methods of definition are classified as connotative method, denotative method, and synonymous method. Especially we identified that connotative method contains logical definition, genetic definition, relational definition, operational definition, and axiomatic definition. With these analyses we made a frame for investigating the characteristics of the definitions in school mathematics textbooks. With this frame we identified concrete types of transformations of methods of definition. We tried to analyse this result with van Hieles' theory about let·els of geometry learning and the mathematical language levels described by Freudenthal, and identify the levels of definitions in school mathematics. We showed the levels of definitions in the geometry area of the Korean school mathematics.

With rapidly changing modem information technology, the structure of our lifestyle has underwent much changes in our society. One of these changes is an immense distribution of computer desks, which became necessities of life in various organizations, companies and public offices as well as at home. Therefore, many companies are faced with the necessity of bringing about a new product with esthetic needs and new functions and come to have opportunities to make profits from top-quality products based on competitive design development. The academic design support program in collaboration with industry can provide design-related industry with a design assistance for a new product development, in addition, it can give to the professional faculty of the college the chances to contribute to advancement of design industry of the nation. To accomplish the need and purpose of this research, the design development of unified computer desks was carried out with the introduction of life-long Universal design concept named ‘Design For All.’ The theoretical background of this study researched all the literature on the terms definition of a computer desk, the concept and definition of Universal design and design support program in collaboration with industry and performed data analyses for a product development through an analysis of domestic products and a benchmarking of foreign products. On the basis of these theoretical background and analysis results, this research brought out a new product through designing processes and the information of this production could be utilized via the feedback of a new product. That is, this research was done for a practical use.

Many researcher working in logistics tried to define concept of the logistics and its arena to study. However, there has not been much improvement. Thus, it caused the delay in the progress of the logistics study. Most of the earlier definition of the logistics mainly considered from the point of Physical Distribution Management and Business Logistics. I proposed a new definition of the logistics and the area to research which reflecting the total of whole system and the functional areas of the logistics.

Objectives : This study was to analyze the definitions of herbs, herbal drugs, crude drugs and natural products in the relevant laws and regulations, understand the related problems, and propose directions for improvement. Methods : I analyzed the legal definitions in respect of herbs, herbal drugs, crude drugs and natural products in relevant laws and regulations since 1945, explained the problems, and suggested the solution-considering the academic stance of Traditional Korean Medicine and the dualistic medical and pharmaceutical system. Results : Herbs are defined as "refined things that are cut and dried in their most original state". The definition of crude drugs includes herbs and the "cell contents, secretion, extracts, minerals and other parts of animals and plants that are used medicinally". The concept of natural products is expanded to adding tissue cultures to the definition of crude drugs. Conclusions : The definition of herbs should at least include all products that are "processed, extracted and prepared" as well as contents that consist of various forms of hospital-prepared herbs. The term "herbal drug" corresponds to a traditional term of "drug", and this should be established as a concept to explain "drugs in raw materials that are used to prepare herbs and/or manufacture herbal medicine". The legal definition of herbs should include the concept of crude drugs. Herbal drug preparations and crude drugs should be included in the definition of herbal drugs.
