This study aimed to investigate protective factors and risk factors in elementary students' life satisfaction. Participants were 2844 (1524 boys, 1320 girls) children who grades were 4th, 5th, 6th in KYPS (Korea Youth Panel Survey). Data mining decision tree model was performed with sex, appearance, delinquency, family income, attachment to parents, parental monitoring, attachment to teachers, academic achievement, peer delinquency, and attachments to peer. The results revealed that : (1) For 4th graders, academic achievement, attachment to parents, and appearance were significant predictors for life satisfaction. (2) For 5th graders, attachment to parents, academic achievement, parental monitoring and appearance were significant predictors for life satisfaction. (3) For 6th graders, attachment to parents, appearance, parental monitoring and delinquency were significant predictors for life satisfaction. Protective factors and risk factors were changed according to interactions between significant independent variables. These results suggest that children's diverse conditions should be considered individually in programs for children's life satisfaction.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between parental perfectionism, academic stress, and life satisfaction among high school students. For this purpose, 290 high school students from the P region were surveyed. We performed a t-test to see if there were significant differences in students' life satisfaction and perceived academic stress between the low parental perfectionism group and the high parental perfectionism group. The results of the study are as follows. First, the low parental perfectionism group reported a significantly higher level of life satisfaction than high parental perfectionism group. Second, the relationship between perceived parental perfectionism and students' academic stress was significant, which shows that the high parental perfectionism group perceived a higher level of academic stress than the low parental perfectionism group. The results indicate that parents' perfectionistic tendencies can lead to higher levels of academic stress of their children, which also can reduce their life satisfaction.

And limitations and implications of subsequent further study were suggested in this research.
This study examines the structural relationship between parents' positive and negative parenting attitudes, life satisfaction, and academic helplessness. To this end, 2,595 middle school students (1,405 boys and 1,185 girls) were used among the KCYPS 2018 panel materials. The model was validated using a structural equation model, and the verification of the mediated effects of life satisfaction was significant with bootstraps. The results of the study are as follows. First, the positive and negative parenting attitudes of parents have a significant impact on life satisfaction. These results can be interpreted as having an impact on the lives of adolescent children, depending on their parenting attitudes. Second, the positive and negative parenting attitudes of parents have a significant impact on academic helplessness. These results can be interpreted as having an effect on the academic performance of adolescent children depending on their parenting attitudes. Third, satisfaction in life has a significant adverse effect on academic helplessness. These results can be interpreted as having a positive impact on studies according to the satisfaction level of youth's life, and having a negative impact on studies if life satisfaction is high and life satisfaction is low. Fourth, the satisfaction of life is mediated between parents' positive and negative parenting attitudes and academic helplessness. Through this study, it is meaningful in that it allows parents to understand the process of life satisfaction affecting their academic helplessness according to their parenting attitudes.
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to understand the level and patterns of college adjustment, major satisfaction, academic engagement, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). This study examined the factors influencing adaptation to college life. Methods: This study was approved by the institutional review board of 00 university. We analyzed 166 survey data responses collected by distributing questionnaires from June 1 to July 2, 2020. Statistical product and service solutions version 23.0 was used for statistical analyses. Results: There was a significant difference in the average score of major satisfaction according to the type of college (university) and grades. For college adjustment, there was a significant difference in the average score according to major grades. Academic engagement showed a significant difference in the average score according to the college type and grade. Major satisfaction, college adjustment, and academic motivation showed significant positive correlations among the variables, whereas ADHD, major satisfaction, and college adjustment showed a significant negative correlation. Multiple regression analysis revealed that major satisfaction (p<0.001) and academic motivation (p<0.001) were factors affecting college adjustment (p<0.05). Conclusions: It is necessary to develop and apply specific and systematic adaptation programs to improve the understanding, control, and guidance methods for college students and to promote human relations, such as school life and social life.
This study was conducted to identify the relationships among professional self-concept, academic self-efficacy and major satisfaction in nursing students. Data were collected from 137 nursing students by means of self reported questionnaires about professional self-concept, academic self-efficacy, and major satisfaction from October 19 to 23, 2017. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficients, and multiple regression. There were significant correlations among professional self-concept, academic self-efficacy, and major satisfaction. Predictor that has an effect on major satisfaction was professional self-concept among nursing students. This factor explains thirty-six percentile of total variances of major satisfaction. This study suggests that professional self-concept is positively influenced on major satisfaction. To enhance major satisfaction for nursing students, it is necessary to develop specific course or training program in curriculum for increasing professional self-concept.

Purpose : In order to respond to the needs of society, it is necessary for nursing students to develop into their professional roles and form a higher degree of positive nursing professionalism. This study investigated clinical practice stress, clinical practice satisfaction, academic major satisfaction, and self-esteem among nursing students, and identified factors influencing their nursing professionalism. Methods : The participants of this study were 200 nursing students who used the internet and e-mail, and who understood the purpose and methods of this study. Data were collected from June 21 to July 27, 2021. Data analysis, including the independent t-test, one-way analysis of variance, Pearson correlation coefficients, and multiple regression, was performed using SPSS version 26.0. Results : The mean score was 3.52±.47 for nursing professionalism, 2.99±.56 for clinical practice stress, 3.35±.44 for clinical practice satisfaction, 3.75±.55 for academic major satisfaction, and 3.49±.78 for self-esteem. There were no significant differences in nursing professionalism according to general characteristics. Nursing professionalism was positively correlated with clinical practice satisfaction (r=.36, p<.001), academic major satisfaction (r=.57, p<.001), and self-esteem (r=.41, p<.001), but negatively correlated with clinical practice stress (r=-.41, p<.001). Factors influencing nursing professionalism included academic major satisfaction (𝛽=.39, p<.001) and clinical practice stress (𝛽=-.16, p=.021). These variables explained 36 % of variance in nursing professionalism (F=29.43, p<.001). Conclusion : These findings indicate that academic major satisfaction and clinical practice stress could be considered in effective nursing educational interventions to improve nursing professionalism in nursing students. Therefore, multidimensional efforts are needed to establish educational programs for nursing students aiming to enhance their nursing professionalism. In addition, these findings will be helpful for establishing various emotional control programs for the management of clinical practice stress among nursing students.

The study aimed to investigate the motivation and user satisfaction of medical school graduate students using specific academic information sites, and examines the effect of usage motivation factors on user satisfaction. This study was conducted from September 10, 2018 to September 21, 2018 by a large medical school graduate student in Seoul, and analyzed 135 valid responses. According to the analysis, the degree of reliability and interactivity of PubMed is higher than that of Google Scholar in medical school graduate students' use of academic information sites. It was found to have a significant effect on user satisfaction of academic information sites. In particular, convenience has the greatest influence on users' choice of academic information sites. The results of the study are of theoretical implications in that the discussion of academic information services through web sites is explained in terms of use and satisfaction in the context of medical information. On the other hand, specific research results provide practical implications for improving the services of medical-related academic search engines.
