대학은 지속가능성을 확보하기 위해 대학 정보화에 꾸준히 투자하고 있고, 이러한 노력 덕분에 학생들이나 교직원들은 언제 어디서나 대학의 정보시스템에 접속하여 효율적으로 업무를 처리할 수 있게 되었다. 최근 대학은 정보기술 수요 환경의 변화에 대응하여 다양한 서비스를 제공하기 위해 대학 행정 정보화 프로젝트에서 나서고 있다. 그 중 일부 대학은 계획한 성과를 달성하였지만, 새롭게 개발원 시스템의 이용을 중단하여야 할 것인가를 고민주중인 대학도 있다. 대학 정보화는 어느 정도의 실패 요인을 안고 출발하기 마련이다. 예측하지 못한 사태로 인해 난관에 봉착하기도 하고, 구성원물의 지혜를 모아 문제를 슬기롭게 극복하기도 한다. 마음챙김 이론은 이러한 시스템 개발 및 운영 과정을 심도있게 살펴볼 수 있는 관점을 제공한다. 본 연구는 대학 행정 정보시스템 개발 프로젝트 사례를 마음챙김 관점에서 분석하고, 그 파급효과와 시사점 등을 정리하였다.

본 연구는 21세기 대학의 정보화 및 지식화에 부응하고 나아가 국가의 연구 경쟁력을 확보하기 위한 대학학술정보 유통제제에 관한 현 상황을 분석하고 개선 방안을 마련하고자 한다. 이를 위한 세부 연구목적으로 대학발행 학술연구 정보에 대한 수집, 관리, 유통체제가 네트워크를 통해 체계적 이루어질 수 있도록 제반 제도를 연구하며, 차세대 전자출판 기반의 학술정보유통 및 디지털 도서관 구축에 필요한 기본 방향을 제시하여, 현행 학술정보 생산 및 유통체제를 바탕으로 전자출판이라는 새로운 패러다임에서의 제도 구현을 위한 단계적 제도 개선 수행 계획과 구체적인 추진 전략을 수립하는데 있다.

This study investigated the actual condition of book numbers in South Korean academic libraries. Book numbers that are used in the Korean academic libraries consist of a combination of author-number or author-name, the first letter of the title, and any other shelflisting device. This study examined the current problems that perceive academic librarians on book numbers and the problem awareness of librarians who are working at 110 academic libraries in South Korea. The result shows that academic libraries are using eleven different methods of the book numbers table including nine eastern methods and two western methods. Also, librarians mentioned that the crucial concerns among participating libraries were the duplication of the book numbers and ineffective collection management. Therefore, this study suggested the expansion of the book numbers system in order not to duplicate of book numbers and the unification of western and eastern methods so that academic libraries tackle problems of ineffective collection management.

이 연구의 목적은 대학도서관에서 사용되고 있는 편목시스템에 대한 인식을 조사해 보는데 있다. 이러한 목적을 위해 편목시스템이 발전되어 온 과정을 추적해보고 발전과정에서 나타난특성을 분석해 보았다. 이러한 분석과 더불어 편목시스템을 사용하고 있는 편목사서들과 시스템 개발자들은 편목시스템에 대해 어떤 인식을 가지고 있는지에 대해 밝혀보았다. 이 연구의 결과는 현장 편목사서들의 요구와 견해를 파악함으로써 향후 편목시스템 개발에 참조할 수 있을 것이다.

Huge amount of useful information is getting added to the academic digital world everyday, This digitalized information is heterogeneous and remained limited to a local domain only. How to integrate and share this scattered knowledge with simplicity remained a big challenge. In this paper, we propose a prototype of web application for accomplishing above task using web 2.0 features; it makes traditional academic digital libraries to form as a special case of collaborative environment. This application enables users to customize their own resources to form their own virtual digital library. Further users can utilize personalized information of other users working in similar research domain to form true collaborative environment. The model and framework for the new look of academic digital library is presented.

정보 기술은 급속하게 발전하고 있으며, 여러 분야에서 활용되고 있다 대학도 예외가 아니어서, 전자메일, 전자 게시판, 전자 강의실뿐 아니라 블로그, 커뮤니티, 지식카페 등의 웹 2.0 서비스를 적극적으로 활용하고 있다. 하지만 대학 내부에서 활용되는 정보시스템을 보면, 대학의 행정 정보화가 현재의 정보 기술 수준과는 상당한 괴리가 있음을 발견할 수 있다. 가령 대부분 대학의 행정 정보시스템이 기능별로 운영되고 있어, 통합적인 관점에서 대학에서 필요한 정보를 적시에 제공하지 못하고 있다. 이러한 상황이 발생하는 원인은 대학이 장기적인 관점에서 정보시스템의 구축과 유지 및 보수, 그리고 향후 투자 계획을 마련하는 데 인색하기 때문이다. 본 연구에서는 대학이 지속 가능한 경쟁력을 갖추기 위해 필요한 행정 정보시스템의 구축 및 활용 방안을 마음챙김의 관점을 통해 살펴보았다. 먼저 전국의 4년제 및 2${\sim}$3년제 대학을 대상으로 설문 조사를 실시한 결과, 대학 행정 정보시스템 구축 전후의 핵심 성공 요인에 차이가 있으며, 특히 구축 전에는 정보시스템 구축과 관련된 요인이, 그리고 구축 후에는 운영과 관련된 요인이 강조되는 점을 확인하였다. 이러한 결과는 대학 행정 정보시스템의 성공적인 구축뿐 아니라 지속적인 경쟁력을 확보하기 위하여 개인적 마음챙김의 측면에서 개방성, 신속한 대용, 민감한 반응, 다양한 관점, 현재 지향성과 집단적 마음챙김의 측면에서 실패에 대한 관심, 단순함에 대한 저항, 운영에 대한 관심, 복원에 대한 초점, 전문 지식에 입각한 의사결정 위임을 고려한 활동이 필요함을 시사하고 있다.

This paper provides an overview of the emergence of resource discovery systems and services, along with their advantages, best practices, and current landscapes. It outlines some of the key services and functionalities of a comprehensive discovery model suitable for academic libraries in developing countries. The proposed model (VuFind as a discovery tool) performs like other existing web-scale resource discovery systems, both commercial and open-source, and is capable of providing information resources from different sources in a single-window search interface. The objective of the paper is to provide seamless access to globally distributed subscribed as well as open access resources through its discovery interface, based on a unified index. This model uses Koha, DSpace, and Greenstone as back-ends and VuFind as a discovery layer in the front-end and has also integrated many enhanced search features like Bento-box search, Geodetic search, and full-text search (using Apache Tika). The goal of this paper is to provide the academic community with a one-stop shop for better utilising and integrating heterogeneous bibliographic data sources with VuFind (https://vufind.org/vufind).

Through a series of precise text handling processes, including automatic extraction of information from documents with knowledge from various fields, recognition of entity names, detection of core topics, analysis of the relations between the extracted information and topics, and automatic inference of new knowledge, the most efficient knowledge base of the relevant field is created, and plans to apply these to the information knowledge management and service are the core requirements necessary for intellectualization of information. In this paper, the knowledge base, which is a necessary core resource and comprehensive technology for intellectualization of science and technology information, is described and the usability of academic information services using it is evaluated. The knowledge base proposed in this article is an amalgamation of information expression and knowledge storage, composed of identifying code systems from terms to documents, by integrating terminologies, word intelligent networks, topic networks, classification systems, and authority data.

본 연구는 통합 연구재단의 출범을 앞두고 양 기관에서 운영 중인 학술자원 공동 활용 기반 구축 사업에 대한 개편안을 마련하고, 양 기관에서 현재 운영 중인 사업에 대한 비교 분석 및 장 단점 분석을 통해 향후 통합재단에서의 운영방안을 마련하기 위한 것이다. 이를 위해 한국학술진흥재단과 한국과학재단에서 운영 중인 학술자원 공동 활용 기반구축 사업을 중심으로, 관리 서비스 인프라 측면의 현황 분석을 통해 이슈 및 시사점을 도출하고, 이를 토대로 사업의 성과와 개선과제를 도출하고자 하였다. 본 연구에서는 양 재단에서 추진하고 있는 사업과 정보시스템의 통합은 두 가지 측면으로 나누어 각각의 주요 영역별 방안을 살펴보았는데, 우선 양 재단에서 추진하고 있는 정보서비스 관련 사업의 운영체제의 통합을 통해 새로운 차원의 학술연구 정보서비스를 창출해 내는 조직 방안을 제시하였으며, 다음으로 양 재단 내 단위 시스템으로 분산되어 정보서비스 시스템들의 통합을 통한 연구자들의 단일화된 통합 서비스 제공 방안을 모색하였다.

오늘날의 도서관은 거의 모든 업무가 자동화 시스템을 중심으로 이루어지는데, 특히 대학도서관은 연구와 학습을 지원하기 위하여 자동화 수준을 높이고 있다. 자동화 시스템을 구성하는 H/W와 S/W에 관련한 전산업무를 수행하는 시스템 라이브러리언은 도서관이 자동화되면서 사서의 전문분야로 새로 생긴 직명이다. 본 연구는 대학도서관 시스템 라이브러리언의 작업성과를 높이는 요인을 밝히는 데 목적이 있다. 작업성과는 작업의 질과 양, 개인의 정서적 반응을 의미하며, 개인의 정서적 반응은 작업을 수행한 결과 느끼는 전반적 직무만족, 내적 작업동기 그리고 개인의 성장만족이 포함된다. 연구방법으로는 요인을 직무특성, 조직특성, 개인특성 별로 독립변인으로 작업성과 요소를 종속변인으로 선정하였다. 가설을 설정하고, 질문지를 통하여 입수된 자료를 SPSS for Windows통계 팩키지로 분석하여 이를 검증하였다.
