Experimental Study on Flexural Performance of Composite Slabs Reinforced with GFRP-Deckplate (GFRP-데크플레이트로 보강한 합성 슬래브의 휨성능 평가에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • In this study, the flexural experiment was conducted to propose the one-way composite slab system composed of concrete and GFRP-Deckplate by comparing with the composite deck slab system with bar-mesh As a result of experiment, the specimens of the proposed GFRP-Deck composite slab were better than the specimens for comparison in the flexural performance. It is effective for the building structures exposed to air pollution or salt.

  • A rate-sensitive constitutive model was developed, with some simplifying assumptions, in the frame of the standard elastoplastic-viscous relation. The simulations performed using the model were successful for the normally consolidated cohesive soils with the advantage that the parameter values determined at a rate could be used at. different rates. Details on the parameters and additional modification of the model are presented in the successive paper.

  • Proteins are one of essential part of organisms; many proteins are enzymes that catalyze biochemical reactions and are vital to metabolism. Researching for 3D structure of proteins is important because functions of proteins are determined by 3D structure of them. In this study, we developed graphic tool that supports comparison and observation of the two proteins' 3D structure in the single screen. It also supports some comparison data to help researcher's easy comparison and observation works.

  • This paper suggests an algorithm for optimal positioning individuals(or observations) with p-dimensional measurements into coordinates of a two dimensional space. A criterion for optimizing the rotation is taken as the consistency of the grouping result obtained by the cluster analysis. This paper introduces the criterion and a transformation matrix for the orthogonal rotation. The criterion of the optimal positioning is that standard groups are placed in each quadrant of the positioning. An optimal angle of the orthogonal rotation is investigated and found by this criterions.

  • The purpose of this paper is as follow. The first is to investigate ship instrument supplier's and consumer's needs. The second is to study a feasibility of international ship instrument distribution center at Busan port. Therefore, the research scheme was experimented through a questionnaire survey answered by 878 companies. The results of this research indicate the necessity of ship instrument distribution center. The results of this study will be helpful for the success management of ship instrument distribution center.

A Design of Modified Euclidean Algorithm using Finite State Machine (FSM을 이용한 수정된 유클리드 알고리즘 설계)

  • In this paper, an architecture for modified Euclidean(ME) algorithm is proposed, which is using finite-state machine(FSM) instead of degree computation. Since the proposed architecture does not have degree computation circuits, it is possible to reduce the hardware complexity of RS(Reed-Solomon) decoder, so that a very high-speed RS decoder can be implemented. RS(255,239) decoder with the proposed architecture is implemented using Verilog-HDL and requires about 13% fewer gate counts than conventional one.

  • Association rule is one of meaning and useful extraction methods from large amounts of data, and furnish useful information to user for data describing a pattern or similarity among attributes in database. Association rule have been studied about existence and nonexistence rule in boolean database. In this paper, we propose an intelligent query system using fuzzy association rule by extraction association rule changing a quantitative attribute data to a nominal attribute value.

Model Development by Structural Analysis of Vinyl House at Heavy Snow (폭설시 비닐하우스의 구조해석에 의한 모델 개발)

  • Existing and developed models of vinyl house are simulated by 3 dimensional and analysis program. When heavy snow lays 250 mm deep, this paper aims to investigate how its load affects the vinyl house and what deformation happens with structural analysis. Its maximum deformation is decreased to more than 50 % by developing this model in comparison with the existing model. Its developed model is more safe than existing model and its manufacturing expense can be reduced.

  • The free in-plane vibration of asymmetric circular curved beams with varying cross-section is analyzed by the differential quadrature method (DQM) neglecting transverse shearing deformation. Natural frequencies are calculated for the beams with various opening angles and boundary conditions. Results obtained by the DQM are compared with available results by other methods in the literature. It is found that the DQM gives the good accuracy even with a small number of grid points.

  • In this paper, we develope the bucket driven dredger for sludge treatment in box type culvert. The dreadger is opererated in $2m\;{\times}\;2m$ box type narrow culvert under the road, and controlled using remote controller on the remote zone. In order to operate under dangerous environment, we develope the bucket drived dredger, and we will commercialize the result.
