수학 학습이 구체물이나 친숙한 상황을 다양하게 제시해주는 것으로부터 시작되어야 한다는 입장은 CSA(Concrete-Semiconcrete-Abstract)라는 이름으로 잘 알려져 있다. 이에 비하여 최근 Kaminski 등의 연구는, 다양한 맥락을 가진 구체물로 수학적 개념을 학습하는 것보다 추상적인 개념을 먼저 학습하는 것이 지식의 전이 측면에서 효과적일 수 있음을 주장한다. 본고에서는 이러한 상반된 관점을 고려하여, 구체물, 반구체물, 추상적 개념의 지도순서를 다르게 적용한 수업을 분석하고 그 교육적 시사점을 확인하고자 하였다. 연구 결과 구체물로 시작하여 개념을 도입한 수업은 수학에 대한 긍정적인 태도를 가지게 한 것으로 보였으나 그 효과가 지속적이지는 않았으며, 성취도 면에서도 유의미한 차이를 보이지 않았고, 오히려 구체물이 가지는 과도한 구체성으로 인해 오류를 보이는 경우가 관찰되었다. 이러한 오류는 반구체물로 개념을 도입한 수업에서는 발견되지 않았는데, 이는 비본질적 요소가 사상된 반구체물이 추상적인 개념 학습에 효율적으로 사용될 수 있음을 시사한다.

There have been many papers reporting that the axiomatic approach in Abstract Algebra is a big obstacle to overcome for the students who are not trained to think in an abstract way. Therefore an instructor must seek for ways to help students grasp mathematical concepts in Abstract Algebra and select the ones suitable for students. Mathematics faculty and students generally consider Abstract Algebra in general and quotient groups in particular to be one of the most troublesome undergraduate subjects. For, an individual's knowledge of the concept of group should include an understanding of various mathematical properties and constructions including groups consisting of undefined elements and a binary operation satisfying the axioms. Even if one begins with a very concrete group, the transition from the group to one of its quotient changes the nature of the elements and forces a student to deal with elements that are undefined. In fact, we also have found through running abstract algebra courses for several years that students have considerable difficulty in understanding the concept of quotient groups. Based on the above observation, we explore and analyze the nature of students' knowledge about $Z_n$ that is the set of congruence classes modulo n. Applying the genetic decomposition method, we propose a model to lead students to achieve the correct concept of $Z_n$.

Objective : analysis of words related with medical concept and context of paragraphs in Suwen of Huang Di Nei Jing based on concreteness and ideality. Method : First, I extract words having medical concept out of the whole sentence of Huang Di Nei Jing. and classifies them according to the type of medical concept. Second, I classify all sentence of it on the basis of analysing of the words. Result : 1. There are not an interrelationship between the abstract and concrete words from the perspective of cause and effect. Abstract words group are divided into two different parts according to the fundamental character. There are the concept being formed from pure idea and the concept being formed from material idea. The main words composed most important part of the oriental medicine have a combination mode with these two word groups. 2. We have several data about concreteness and ideality of Huang Di Nei Jing. Subjects and contents in provisions are concrete relatively. But the logical basis of sentences is remarkably ideational. Many kinds of abstract words are used dominantly to compose logics of these basis. It confirms that concrete words can not be used to make theories and concepts in Suwen. Conclusion : I analyzed words related with medical concept and context of paragraphs in Suwen of Huang Di Nei Jing based on concreteness and ideality and I found that the concept and logical system of Huang Di Nei Jing in the objective point of view.

There can be two different approaches to introducing Abstract Algebra to undergraduate students: One is to introduce group concept prior to ring concept, and the other is to do the other way around. Although the former is almost conventional, it is worth while to take the latter into consideration in the viewpoint that students are already familiar to rings of integers and polynomials. In this paper, we investigated 16 most commonly used Abstract Algebra undergraduate textbooks and found that 5 of them introduce ring theory prior to group theory while the rest do the other way around. In addition, we interviewed several undergraduate students who already have taken an Abstract Algebra course to look into which approach they prefer. Then we compare pros and cons of two approaches on the basis of the results of the interview and the historico-genetic principle of teaching and learning in Abstract Algebra and suggest that it certainly be one of alternatives to introduce ring theory before group theory in its standpoint.

Johnson and Skoug [Pacific J. Math. 83(1979), 157-176] introduced the concept of scale-invariant measurability in Wiener space. And the applied their results in the theory of the Feynman integral. A converse measurability theorem for Wiener space due to the $K{\ddot{o}}ehler$ and Yeh-Wiener space due to Skoug[Proc. Amer. Math. Soc 57(1976), 304-310] is one of the key concept to their discussion. In this paper, we will extend the results on converse measurability in Wiener space which Chang and Ryu[Proc. Amer. Math, Soc. 104(1998), 835-839] obtained to abstract Wiener space.

The concrete-representational-abstract integrated (CRA-I) sequence is an explicit approach for teaching students who struggle in mathematics. This approach is beneficial because it assists students in the development of conceptual understanding. This article describes how the approach is used in general as well as its use with a specific geometry concept, area of a rectangle. The author will describe why one might choose CRA-I and the steps needed for implementation. Finally, the CRA-I steps will be shown with a lesson series related to teaching the concept of area. The article will describe lesson activities, methods, materials, and procedures.

본 연구는 현대조경의 추상유형에 관한 연구로서 현대조경의 탈장르적 경향과 건축, 조경, 예술 장르간의 하이브리드화에 의해 현대조경의 형태나 예술성은 과거의 픽쳐레스크식의 조경이 표현할 수 없었던 많은 부분들을 표현해 내고 있다. 이러한 영향으로 인해 현대의 조경은 한편의 거대한 추상예술을 보는 듯하고, 그 난해함은 정도를 더하고 있어 일반대중들 뿐만 아니라 전문 조경가들조차도 추상적 현대조경에 대한 해석이 분분하고 정확한 이해나 해석에 어려움을 토로하고 있어 현대조경의 추상성에 대한 연구가 제기되고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 조경, 건축, 미술 등 여러 다양한 예술분야에서 예술의 창작원리로 작용되어온 '추상성'에 대해 근본적인 탐구를 하여 추상에 대한 이론정립, 추상성 변천과정, 추상성의 현대적 의미를 파악하여, 조경학적 시각으로 각 예술분야와의 연계성을 밝히고 현대조경작가와 작품에서 표현되어 나타나는 추상형태, 추상언어, 추상특징을 추출해봄으로써 현대추상조경의 진리를 파악하고자 하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 현대조경의 추상유형은 다음과 같이 세 가지로 구분할 수 있다. $\cdot$연역적 추상조경(inductive abstract)은 논리적 과정에 의하지 않고 직관적이고 선험적인 정신성, 그리고 초월적 관념 표상을 의미하며 예술가의 내면의 세계 즉, 다시 말해서 외부 대상이 없이 예술가 자신의 관념이나 마음 속을 그리고자 하여 대상의 재현이 아닌 작가 내면의 표현 또는 표출되는 것이다. $\cdot$귀납적 추상조경(deductive abstract)은 전통적 사실주의에 입각하여 대상을 객관적 사실에 대해 지적이고 논리적인 사상(捨象)의 과정을 거쳐서 대상을 단순화하거나 왜곡, 과장, 확대된 논리적 조형성을 표현한다. $\cdot$복합적 추상조경(complex abstract)은 연역적 추상조경과 귀납적 추상조경이 복합적으로 나타난다. 이상으로 살펴본 바와 같이 현대조경의 추상유형에 관한 연구는 추상조경작품에 대한 가치를 재평가하는 계기가 될 수 있고 현대의 추상조경작품에 대한 이해를 높이며, 미래의 조경에 더욱 긍정적으로 작용할 것이다. 따라서 보다 심도 있는 연구와 이의 근본이 되는 추상성에 대한 연구는 앞으로도 지속되어야 한다.

The origin of "Fire" in Traditional Chinese Medicine is summed up based on observation and knowledge of natural fire, followed by abstract thinking, of which the outcomes are best symbolized in the character Fire[火]. Because it is an abstract concept, it is hard to give a single and strict definition. Naturally, it would be necessary to analyze and illustrate the origin of 'Fire' from different angles such as broad definition, multi-definition, levels, classifications and effects. The concept of 'Fire' has four meanings in the aspect of the broad definition: first, natural fire; second, the physiological conception of fire; third, the medical conception of fire; fourth, general concept related to fire. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, fire mainly indicates physiologic fire, pathological fire, the fire in the six kinds of natural climate and the fire as one of the properties and the flavors of herbs.
